I was watching a video on youtube today (not sure its relevant) when I went to the home screen my whole screen began to flicker and all the items randomly shifted to different places continually. I shut down the phone turned it back on and even at the boot screen it was still continuing I continued to a restart and it fixed the screen back to normal. Has anyone else experienced this issue. Could it be the video chip for the phone going out or just a bug? I am running the latest version of themed iced glacier

Known issue, it's kernel's fault. Give it some time, it'll get fixed.

I was wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this issue. I am currently running the latest cyan 7 nightly but i do recall it happening 2 other times on cyan 7 RC4 and RC1. I am not at all saying it only happens on cyan, i am just showing when and how it happened. All 3 times it happened my battery was below 10% and i restarted my phone to have the issue occur. It seems as if every button on the screen would choose the exact mirrored opposite of itself on the screen. If i would press the phone icon on adw the default on the other side wich happens to be internet browser would launch. If i pulled down on the notification bar the app drawer would open and so on and so on. the only thing that was regular was when i would press an option in the main menu such as wifi or location, basically anything that didnt have an option next to it that it could switch to. after a few minutes i restarted the phone again to have the issue go away as fast as it started. It was not only in adw for those wondering it was anything that had an option next to it, such as pressing favorites in the browser and it would launch whatever is opp of it, settings i think im not positive at the moment. Oh well i just figured i would share some of my story with all of u in case it somehow starts a topic or even some how helps somebody out in any way. thanks, veritas

i know what you mean. I had that happen too. It didn't happen anymore after I flashed to another ROM. I'm on CM7 RC4

I work for a cell phone repair company and we recently had a G2 come in with heavy water damage. after doing the water damage treatment the phone powered on, everything working fine.
I powered it off to put my SIM into it to test the call functionality and when it powered back up the entire touchscreen was backwards, even the softkeys at the bottom.
we replaced the digitizer and that fixed the issue, so maybe T-Mobile or HTC will warranty it if its a bad digi
Anyone else experience screen blackouts on the desire hd the screen just darkens and starts to grey out and fade till it is all black
in this state when it starts top fade then turning black it is unresponsive to touch.
Presing the power button twice to turned the screen off and on fixes it temporarily till the next time it happens
Not sure if it it's hardware our software related. happened 6 times.this morning.since flashing leedroids latest. Didn't happen before that. Only once in a while on few older roms

I get this on CM7 on boot. So I guess a kernel issue... (but it was there with .32 kernel too).

I started getting this on my HD using CM7.0. Usually after a call. The screen stays blank as if the prox sensor stopped working. Sometimes messing with top button resolves it but often only removing battery fixes it.

I had flashed a rom and then decided to go back to the rooted 2.2.1. After a while I started to have issues where the screen wouldn't come on from wake. After a battery pull and a reboot same thing. Then the screen would not come on at all. The phone boots and the hard buttons light up as well as the led. Anyone else have a similar situation? Is it bricked or is it possible to fix?

I have had the same problem although my screen works again when I pull the battery and restart. I am a little concerned If this has anything to do with the chip failures being discussed in the general forum.

It's bricked... get an RMA asap.
Whenever I'm speaking with someone after I put it in my ear,screen turns off l,but after I take it off my ear more than half the time it doesn't turn back on..its not off is just even after the call is gone
It wont turn back on.
ANY SUGGESTIONS?

The screen will turn off because of the proximity sensor checking how close to your face it is, Anything possibly covering the proximity sensor on the top part of the phone? Have you changed anything on your phone recently when this started happening? If you are running a CM rom, i think there is something in cyangen settings that you can tweak.
Running sense now,It hasnt happen yet,maby the sensor is little twisted any way to calibrate it?

A strange thing has been happening for a while now. When I press the power button to unlock the phone the screen will be upside down. There will also be a line across the screen of what looks like "tv static." If I hit power again to turn the screen off then once more to bring it back on it goes away. It happens on any rom and it really doesn't effect anything else and only happens when I unlock the phone.
Anyone know what it could be?

Not only a rom problem my dads Mytouch 4G does the same thing and its stock gingerbread, I thought my dads was the only one, since I never heard of it in another.
