Depends as to what you want to sync for music you can use winamp
what do you want to sync?

Why don't you read the replys, if you did you'd notice that Winamp was a solution to your problem

As far as that goes, it is one of the few that will change bitrate... I change all my synced music to 64k

Is there a simple database available that will link my PC to my Touch HD?
So if i make any changes on the Touch HD, i just sync the Touch HD and it updates the database on the PC! or VICE VERSA
I need to view the code too..

what kind of database are you talking about?
you mean something like a program on the HD that will form a list of something then sync it to the same list on the pc?

True but lightweight.
Also most of GRemote's apps didn't work for me, some of 'em did but very slow.
I guess it's a personal preference.

Redownload the client, it is fixed.
i have a small problem i have installed but im not able to put in my computers ip ..as when i press on the space provided the keyboard doesnt come up..i wonder if thats something with ma Diamond or the program??

Sure, the next version will support classic!
iTunes is currently the most supported.
I'm going to have to write a plugin for WMP to get the "Now Playing?" function to work with WMP.

In order to have dRemote working with Windows Media Player Classic:
In Windows Media Player Classic go to: View -> Options
Under 'Title bar' check 'Don't prefix anything' and click 'Ok'
Now restart Windows Media Player Classic

Make sure the server is enabled and running.
Don't forget to copy to DLL to the same directory.

I have *Exactly* the same problem, i read hundreds of articles a day, and ive tried google reader on opera, both 9.7 and 10, and also on ie and it sucks,
I want it sync to google reader so dont want to use the built in RSS either. something like newswire which i used to use on the iphone when not using the GR in safari would be ideal, an application which syncs to google reader. or a way to trick google into sending the iphone version to opera?
any ideas guys?

there is no word about be able to do webcamera on a windows pc with the phone... sorry orb live wont do it
i would like to use the nexus one as a webcamera for my laptop and viewing webcams on the n1...
I've done it with orb... no problem.
Make sure you set up their latest edition and use it through the web browser. Their app sucks... through the browser its free
I can see how you can use a PC Webcam and bring it to the N1 using this software, but I really don't see how to do the opposite.
How do I use the N1 as the webcam that's viewable on a PC?

I have "googled it". What search terms would you suggest to get some relavent results? When I do searches I typically end up with two hits that at first seem like they might be useful. The first goes to google's forum and is worthless... the next one links to this very thread.
Two different people here have said they've done it with orb... it's pretty reasonable to ask them how they did it since doing searches on orb's site don't give anything fruitful.

Why do you keep posting off topic?
Let's start over and read the question being asked and see if there's a solution.
We all know that Orb will let you stream a webcam that's connected TO YOUR PC to your phone.
That is NOT what we're trying to accomplish.
We'd like to be able to (as the thread states) "N1 using as a webcam" Use the N1's built in camera to stream live video to another place.
I would like to be able to set the phone down, aim it's camera at something and then have someone else... PC across the planet... whatever... be able to see what the phone is aimed at.
Does anyone know how to do that?

I do. I'll rip it when I get home if I remember, but you'll also need a software client on the PC side which I do not have.

Yea, that's the point I'm at... I wonder why they took it down.
The only issue I'm seeing is that they say it only gets 3fps... that ... kinda sucks.
*edit* and thanks for grabbin the apk off your phone later.. I appreciate it.
Another issue I'm having, and maybe it's just because I don't have it attached to a computer yet, but everything is rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise on my n1 and a portion of the bottom mirrors the image.

Hehe thanks! Fortunately, I use Google for email and calender and the like, so I've not needed to set up a sync with my PC.
I'm not too sure if there was anything else useful on the SD card?

Pc suite and user manual are the only useful files in microSD.
call me crazy but....one android phone is just like another..whats the point of a manual..android isnt exactly hard to learn ??
