[Q] Is there any 2.2 rom for Cliq/Dext??? - Android Software Development

Hello everyone at XDA, i have three questions:
Is there any Froyo 2.2 ROM/SBF/.zip Recovery for the Cliq/Dext?
AND
The Motorola Cliq and Motorola Dext are THE SAME PHONES right??? Only Cliq its the name on US Market and Dext is for the rest or the world??? Right
Oh and THIRD
BOTH are GSM right?
Thanks from advanced and sorry if my questions are already answered, i didnt find any info...

well man, for the froyo question is yes and no!
the froyo roms for cliq/dext are very very beta stage, most of things not work, but in next year i hope they are working good.
for example the cyanogenmod 6.1:
-Sound w/ Volume Rocker (speakers and ear piece and headphones)
-Touchscreen (100%)
-2D Hardware Acceleration
-Key Mappings (Wonky right Now fixing)
-Status LED ( at least when fully charged )
-SD Card Storage
What is broken or untested:
-3D HW Accel
-Calls
-Data
-Wifi
-Camera
-Bluetooth
-G-Sensor (Accelerometer)
-Vibrate
-Vibrate Switch
-GPS
-Keyboard Backlight
-Status LED
-Proximity
-Ambient Light Sensor
for installation they use a zip file falshed via recovery.
for the rest of the questions are yes.

Can anyone please answer his question?

I've known a few sites that are mainly Cliq and Cliq XT developers and ROMS, but I don't know if XDA allows outside links.
However it would depend on what you want for 2.1, A blurred rom, a deblurred rom (Contains Vanilla and Motoblur aspects) and Vanilla rom.

Check out modmymoto dot com.

Great job btw, i'm going to flash it now
Changelog for 7.5?
Edit: Nevermind, you updated the second post.
a few screenshots please?
Hey gang! Darky, love 7.5 ROM, super fast and just so simple. I have one problem,(not a biggie) But the auto-rotate is off. When I hold the phone vertical the screen is in Landscape, and in Landscape the screen pic is in portrait view. Like I had mentioned its not a biggie. But just wanted to let you know!
Great ROM!!

Hey ytt3r, would you mind putting up the changelog for all of the versions like you had on your other thread? I just like to see what was there before or to see what it is based on like modem and all that jazz.
If you think it would make it more confusing, no biggie. I can always look at the other thread.

It uses this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=808286.
Overclocking and undervolting are not a part of this as far as I can tell.

you sure you downloaded the right one? sounds like you are on an actual i9000 kernel and not the ported rom (which has the appropriate kernel built in)

If you need this,
you need to flash a kernel with speedmod included after installed this update.
I tried Setiron super reoriented, it works great !

Great ROM!! This is my first custom ROM flash and everything went well thanks to the clear instructions. Question: How do I mount the SD card? In JH7 it was part of the drop-down menu. I can't seem to find it on this 2.2.1 build. Thanks!!

ROM Control Or Quick Panel Toggles for JJHybrid v3 Stable?

Hi,
I am sorry I couldnt resolve StatusBar FC problem yet with V3 TEST Hybrid ROM....
For the Time being until that bug is resolved, I am planning on Removing ROM Control from v3 Stable release to allow users to have a ROM without FCs..
I will include Quick Panel Toggles in Statusbar instead if you guys want ROM Control Removed depending on Votes I see in Polling which will close in 72 hrs..
Dont worry for those who Miss ROM Control, I will put it as a flashable Patch that will automatically remove QuickPanel Settings and replace it with ROM Control..
Remember, With QuickPanel settings you will have option for Onscreen HW Keys as Addons since it was ROM Control that wasnt allowing me to provide u with it...
Decide and let me know..
Quick Panel settings all the way!
Rom control is nice but I like on screen buttons much more
Besides, if you also make a patch for Rom Control (as you said) then everyone is happy.
I´m too.
I'm still on V2.0 so I don't use Rom Control. On the other side, I use the quick panel toggles a lot! And as f_zurzolo said, if you give flashable patch, everyone should be happy
so --> Quick Panel voted
Definitely a wise decision I feel. ROM Control is great but the simplicity of Quick Panel seems to fit better for this ROM...
AND it sounds like it makes your life a lot easier so really that's most important You're doing us all a HUGE favour developing this at all, the most important thing is making it as easy and un-stressful for you as possible
i prefer quick panel bec. i love a ROM without FC's
i hate a Rom that have FC's what ever features is it.....
thanks for ur development
i cant w8 once my phone repaired at sony service and once i receive my phone i will first unlockbootloader and then root and last flash this great rom!!!

FC or not, I still prefer quick panel more, still on 2.2 because of that.
I prefer ROMControl, because I love center clock style and weather in notification bar
I vote for quick panel
quick panel for me.
quick panel for me to
i like rom control as i can get center clock and many tweaks
and am fed up of quickpanel on all rom VOTE FOR ROM CONTROL
ROM Control important tweaks
ROM control allows tweaks like battery only text in statusbar and power saver (data and sync action) that I found really important!
Can you post addons to replace these functions?
Vote
Quick panel also... Rom Control deos not work for me, after reboot Start-up Tweaks revert to original setting (no boxes tiked). Also in CPU setings i did not found setings for I/O scheduler...
Quick Panel also, I don't see any features in Rom control that is crutialy important (most of the features doesn't work either way)

Rom features most important features to your needs

I am asking this as I am about to start my own rom project for nexus 6p
I am also open to rom bases
What are the most important Rom features to you?
What special features do you like?
What version of root do you prefer?
Do you prefer certain kernel features?
Professional flashaholic here, so here I go:
Must have:
Long press power button for torch
Double tap to sleep anywhere in lockscreen
Battery light (led)
Do not wake screen when plugging charger
Animation speed control (all possible values, not just 1x, 0.5x, etc...)
Status bar ticker
Playback control using volume rocker
Reorient volume buttons on screen rotation
Ambient display advanced customization (especially brightness)
Fingerprint authentication optional vibration
Status bar clock customization
Quick pulldown in quick settings
Fingerprint unlock after reboot
Really nice to have:
Pulse visualization (both in navbar and lockscreen)
Volume panel customization (especially timeout)
Quick unlock
Navigation bar settings (DUI)
Full substratum support (especially if using default teal AOSP color)
All the Pixel goodies (nav bar animations, sounds, wallpapers, launcher, etc)
Root: I say let the user decide, some people prefer SuperSU, some prefer Magisk.
I've used almost all of the Roms here in XDA and other places, and right now, Resurrection Remix is the one that has everything I want, which is not to say that the other roms are bad. In fact, I've enjoyed every single one of them, and I'm immensely grateful to all of the developers here. I usually donate to them when I'm especially happy with a rom. It's like having a new phone every two weeks or so.

Don't include any root! That way is easy for user to stay unrooted if they wish, or to easily flash supersu, magisk, or whatever else.
Redsmith pretty much covered all the bases on a good rom. I'm currently on nitrogen rom 7.1.1 and using substratum. So theming is important to me

I mean it would be cool to have viper arise . But I can always flash it afterwards. Can you make the ROM 7.1.2 based or can u make it the 8.0 Dev preview rooted?
Also pulse on the lockscreen like back in the cm days. Flashlight hold power button.. immersion status and nav bars

To base it on 7.1.2 the source code needs to be released. Since it's still in beta I highly doubt the source has been released yet. If you want 8.0 rooted, why not just install the preview and flash SuperSU?

I might as well actually answer your question in the OP while I'm here. Must have features for me:
- AOSP base
- Long press power for torch with screen off
- Adjustable screen time out settings for lift to wake gesture
- Ability to adjust nav bar height
- Double tap lock screen to sleep
- Volume rocker media control
- Custom quick settings rows/columns (ex: 4x4 layout rather than the stock 3x3)
Anything else is just a bonus but would still be appreciated. I think things that can be flashed like like root, Viper, etc should be left up to the user.

When I get a stable version I will.mesaage the guys interested in helping me. Test
As you can make a rom do you think you could possibly help me out with a mka bacon issue. How much ram do you use? As for features/apps I would say include adaway, wakeblock, supersu, viper4arise, substratum and oms support and camera nx and ex kernel manager and for features just copy Resurrection Remix.
I will pm you
I guess I'll throw my hat into the time, as I'm always down to test new ROMs!
Some must haves for me:
- Alarm/Wakelock Blocker
- Navbar dimension tuner
- Pixel icons / Color (I think it's a framework thing)
- Lock screen double tap to sleep
- Lock screen font change
If you need an additional tester I'd be down! Flashaholic, so I could give it a good run through. If somehow you were able to bake a lot of the features mentioned into 7.1.2 I'd download in a heartbeat and donate what I could. Easily

It has been updated? I have the last build from yesterday, but here the build its 20180206 or its another version? And btw, this rom is awesome. It's really smooth and battery is great. I'm using clarity 2.0 kernel too.

I have tested all previous build of Liquid and they were real FC fests, with Google framework and system UI crashing every 5 seconds or so, but this one is actually usable. No FC in about 2 hours. Thank you.

Unfortunately I'm still facing those FCs
That is a bit strange, for me this rom is perhaps the best. I have not tried all oreo rom obviously, but among the ones I did, this is really good. I don't even feel the need to rollback to miui.
Ohkie.
One of the best and stable rom.
Smooth
Lot of customisation
Good battery yet (will test it more)
Gcmod5 working (front and back portrait mode working)
Will teat more!
Thanks developer. I appreciate your work bro. ???
Edit: beautiful rom seriously, great battery backup, fast charge enabled
Just don't like the stock data traffic monitor ? + no option to place the clock on left side of status bar ?
No problems found
No reboots
Substratum working too
Just the SU App don't show up but the rom is easily rooted.
Haven't tested any custom kernel yet.
Edit: battery drain at night about 10%
Something wrong with back button.
Still love this rom

Battery still at 40%, but it's stable, I'd say. I had exactly 1 random reboot the first time I ran Kmod for WhatsApp, but other than that it's fine. BB seems almost as good as NOS/AEX.

Do you think this rom is better than Nitrogen OS?

I think, yes. NitrogenOS is good too, but right now I'm using this rom + clarity 2.0 kernel, and I'm getting more battery backup than NOS + LH kernel. Also games like asphalt xtreme runs better for me in this rom.
Obviously games use more battery, but for normal usage it's really good.
