Anyone could port this rom?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=867937
ask such question in the Q & A or relevant thread moved to general
There is already a ported buzz(wildfire) froyo rom in developing section.
Is there any specific reason to want this rom, or you just didn't search to find the rom I mentioned above?
If you just want to have froyo with htc's home screen search for the above rom(froyosense the name).
Because this rom isn't the chinese version, but european version...
So, you say that this rom haven't chinese language support?
Maybe it isn't activated. Have you tried morelocale2 to activate chinese?
If you cannot activate them, it's better to contact with the author of this rom to ask him to include them.
No he means that this is the official european version and not a leaked chinese.

I guess you were talking about following ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=816580
as inestain said the above ROM is made from chinese RUU, which has bugs not solved and the developers has kind of stopped developing it any more.
Few bugs in the following posts
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9243920&postcount=244
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9302591&postcount=249
Although i could solve gps localisation it still needs more fixing like hw button leds and root issue etc.
And i think there are few permission issues as well.
In the past few DEVs have expressed interest in porting if a european RUU gets available.
So I thank inestain for bringing the information.
Sorry I am not going to port it (as i am not dev and I just try things out)
I think could be interesting to try the 2.2.1 qvga htc_ime keyboard
not so different...

I just sold my HD2 and promised I would put any custom ROM on before I ship, they want that "official" one, problem is that I enter my serial # and it wont let me, if anyone has any Ideas it wold be appreciated!
download the official one from the leo official roms thread in rom development section. no need for serials.
Sorry for the Questions but If I download the WWE ROM will that include English-Arabic? Thats what they want.
no, it will just be wwe. search through the thread, there are dozens of shipped roms, also serials.
Im talking about HD2 roms ...
I've seen new features in the cooked ROMs like "htc messaging client with securebox option" which is NOT included in the latest official hd2 ROM (TMO 2.13)
Im just wondering, where can i get all these latest packages? Im trying to cook my personal ROM and i want to use latest versions, but most of the packages from tmo 2.13 are already outdated, and i can see newer ones in the cooked ROMs.
Can anyone help me with finding them?
ask to the guy that has it...
I am very dissapointed ... either no one knows, or no one cares to share. I was expecting more from XDA.
anyway, thanks.
You can have all what you want here in XDA......what did you expect more than this?
Mybe what you are searching isnt from Leo,maybe isnt the latest TMOUS release.
If someone has a new package thats mean that you can have it too, just dont be lazy and search.
Thread closed.
Reason: Shipped rom collection is sticky, need only to dump some roms to find what you search.

Apparently, I am not allowed to ask questions in the developer forum until I make ten posts in a non-developer forum. I am just a casual reader and I rarely feel the need to post. Anyways:
The ROM in the subject line is a JM* ROM and it is suggested that those ROMs are locked in some way. Ref: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=888071
Someone else asked the question that I want to ask: Is this ROM safe to use. Ref: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933028&page=5 reply 42.
The question is dated at least 4 days ago and there are no responses. Since the firmware bundle was released a month after the warning, is it safe to assume that the bootloader issue is taken care of? Is there a safer and just as smooth version that I could use instead?
I bought my Galaxy Tab used and some stuff is weird or missing (like the calculator app) so I want to do a clean install. The ROM referenced in the title appears to be the best that I could find so far. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I guess it does not matter now. I installed it. In case anyone is curious, I am not running across any major issues other than that the taskmanager widget no longer seems to be available. *sigh*

No need to answer such question since it is a cooked ROM; where; usually, such traps have to be removed.
It is based on P1000JPJM4 Middle East version that support Right-to-Left writing languages such as Arabic, Urdu & Persian...
This ROM is rooted so you can add/remove any app upon your usage
If you are not interested in Right-to-Left Language, I suggest you JMI based modaco or overcom versions; both are recently updated.
Awesome. Thank you for the answer. I am in Kuwait currently so even though I do not speak Arabic, it is possible that an Arabic person may need to use my device so I will stay with this ROM for now. I greatly appreciate your advice.

Oh. I just noticed. You are the one who cooked the ROM. Thank you. It works very well. I noted that someone said their camera app did not work but I tested mine and it works fine. I definitely appreciate your efforts. Rock on.
its working fine for me
I am using this rom and it works great for me and the task manager is there! maybe because i backed up all my apps and restored it after I flashed. I really love that it supports arabic. Even though i live in the US, I read arabic a lot and its really dumb that they don't have that in all the roms!
P.S. I posted things in the development page many times before and they never rejected my posts!! I never started a thread though I always reply with my questions or comments to threads, maybe thats why.
Hi, my parents recently purchased a T Mobile MyTouch 4g and I was surprised that they didn't include the Chinese display package in there, only English and Spanish. Is there a way for me to add Chinese Display onto the 4g? I'm sorry if there's already been a thread on this, I did a few searches and couldnt find it and I'm at work now so I cant spend my entire time browsing through this forum. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
does anyone know ? or perhaps which ROM I have to flash to have Chinese Language ?
Settings, language and keyboard, select language?
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
if you read my first post, i already said theres only ENGLISH and SPANISH on it.
wow, no one can tell me which ROM they flashed has Chinese Language under settings and language?

Try the miui rom from thederekjay. Look for it in the android development thread. Go with version 1.5.20 as v1.5.27 is a bit buggy. I have had no problems with 1.5.20. Miui rom's come from China and has an user interface that people say is similar to the iphone. I like it alot and it has options for traditional and simplified Chinese. I checked already to make sure. Hopes this helps!

Thanks alot, appreciate the help. Now I have to read and learn how to flash the phone.
Hi!
Good day!
I have a HTC HD2 with Android 2.3.4 installed in it and I would like to try/ switch to Windows Phone7. I've seen a few videos over youtube and read some of the threads here but all I see are windows 7 BETA roms. Is there a "final" rom for the HD2? If not, where do i find the latest Windows 7 ROM for my HTC HD2?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1427611 - This thread seem to have compiled all the ROMs and updates for HTC HD2 -Windows (Thanks to the efforts of the developers and the one who compiled) but I cannot seem to figure out which ROM to get. Any assistance would be very much appreaciated.
Apologies for asking a very basic question.
Thanks!
Carlos
WOW..
I don't really know what you mean with BETA roms, because all those roms shall be very well developed, in my eyes.
"A final rom" by meaning a rom that is almost as much developed as the official released WP rom, then you can just choose one from the development threads. In ex. my HD2 is running on XBmod rom and is just like running on a official rom for me. There are many good roms like the one made by HD2Owner, or the on by Pdaimatejam etc. All these roms are WELL developed, not a BETA.
But if you mean a final one by meaning that the development is good enoug so the rom is stopped on development, you can't find one, because all roms are still getting new features just like the official one is updating itself
here you find all ROM's for HD2
recommend this one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1356833
dont forget to read tutorial for install
also dont forget to need ask Microsoft for Live activation code (all HD2 ROM's need this)
Thanks!
Hi Eric and dxdy,

All the ROMs are basically the same, albeit tweaks the chef may have added. You have to realize that WP7 is constantly updated by MS...just like Android. All the ROMs sporting v8773 (Tango) have the BETA v8773 build. Thus, when MS releases the official final version of v8773 you'll have to reflash your phone and install all your apps again when the chef releases an update.
The Yuki/XBmod ROM is on the official v8107 (Mango). It is also the most stable and the only updatable custom ROM via official MS Zune update. As such, no reflash needed. It is no longer chef supported, but it's still the most stable one of the bunch.
I have tried almost all of the ROMs out there and still use Yuki/XBmod on my phones.
Hi hjhjhj ,
Noted on that. Things seem clearer now.
I just did it! I was able to boot my phone on Win7 woohooo!!!
Thanks to all who replied to my query
Ok one last problem, when i call Microsoft help desk and ask for an activation code, what details do they ask? will they make sure I have a phone originally installed with WP7?
