Hi,
I unlocked my D2G with Verizon and use a Tercel sim while travelling in Mexico. Is there any way I can get data working? I can't find a screen to edit dialup settings. Am I missing something or is it not possible?

Hiya, i just unlocked me defy, am using a 3uk sim on it and am having lots of trouble with calling and data downloading ... is 3uk not compatible with moto defy ????

Is the phone simlocked to 3uk?
Used mine on 3UK for weeks, no problems, make sure in wireless and networks---> mobile network settings, that use only 2g networks is UNCHECKED, 3 Mobile doesnt accept 2g, does this help?

it was locked on orange but unlocked it on monday, bought unlockcode from ebay... so i think it should be alrite with other networks now .... What do you think ???
how would i know if it is locked to 3uk?

well its very reassuring to know that someone is using it on 3 netwk without any trouble ... i checked the settings u were saying above, no prob there no .... 3 settings in the APN also ...

baseband version u r using (EPU93_U_00.59.01) IN MINE
baseband selection u are using (europe/great britain 4.5.1-85) in mine
what option in gsm/umts network preferences u r using [GSM/WCDMA(auto-mode)] in mine
data is enable in mine
data roaming is enable
very very sry to be a hassle .... just sort me out if u can
just wanna compare those settings with mine

So have an AT&T SIM in my unlocked Nexus 4. I use all the default APN's and try to connect to the only mobile network available, "HOME" but it just tries to register on it forever without success. It doesn't work with the APN settings ST recommends on their web site. I haven't had a phone for a week and I could really use some help.

When you say "an AT&T SIM", do you mean an actual AT&T SIM card from AT&T, or a Straight Talk SIM card compatible with AT&T's network?
If it's the former, then you need to buy a new SIM card from Straight Talk that works on AT&T's network. Lucky for you, they just got back in stock.
If the latter, then I couldn't really help you. Make sure you are typing the correct APN in, try rebooting the phone, try dialing *#*#INFO#*#* and messing with the preferred network type under phone settings, make sure your SIM is fully activated and capable of bringing down data/voice/sms. That's really all I got.
It's a ST SIM compatible with AT&T's network.

Are you using an old sim from a different straighttalk phone? If that is the case then you would probably need to use the old apn settings, if not then let me know and I'll try and help you out.

I have a Sprint S4 (SPH-L720) which i got from the states. I plan to use this in Canada...was able to root/unlock the phone via SIM Unlock Method posted (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2415587&highlight=sph-l720).
My issue is that i am unable to browse internet or use any apps needing internet on the GSM/UTMS network mode. I have a Rogers LTE chip that i am using and am able to use the phone (voice calling) with no issues. I can use internet on wifi but am unable to when trying internet via the phone chip...i do have a 6GB plan with Rogers and can browse internet when used on another phone.
I had to downgrade the Baseband to MDL/MDC to sim unlock the phone and have later installed MF9.
The software version and baseband now on the phone is: L720VPUAMF9. Earlier had an issue that the wifi was not working, option was disabled...(was getting a message - that an app is trying to connect...) this got fixed after i flashed the kernel version.
Can anyone advice how i can use data from the GSM network and not wifi.. has anyone faced the same issue.
Add your APN for your gsm sim under APN settings.

Thanks guys...i was able to get the APN settings and now my phone works on data from the lte chip inserted.
Now my issue is that my phone does not show LTE....i have another S4 with Rogers and i verified running speed test on a friend's phone to compare...my specs on the sprint phone are almost 40% lower than his phone on the same network..ran from the same location (apt). I tried various combinations i.e. (LTE, LTE/CDMA, GSM) but i can only get 3g or H+.
Any suggestions that i can try...Thanks!
This phone doesn't have the proper bands to work on Rogers LTE.

hello ,i bought one note 3 from verizon (i know their phones come unlocked) but by some reason i can't get any signal,my carrier is TELCEL on mexico and it's GSM.
i even one time bought one bad esn phone and i was able to use it,i don't know what it's wrong.
if i put it on global it won't get any signal,if i choose GSM/UMTS i won't be able to register.
i rooted it and tried removing the set up wizard.apk but i didn't get anything
i know i have something called perso sha 256 ON the hidden menu but i can't find where to turn it off.
i have restored completly to stock but i don't know what else i could do
i have my baseband number and my imei.
hope someone can help me
You need to change the apns to whatever the apns for your network are also using a vzw phone for gsm is not the best option

thanx for the response,but i can't register to get signal.the apn won't work if i aint registered on the network.
