Need serious help! Possibly bricked MyTouch? - myTouch 3G, Magic General

To be honest, i have no idea what i was doing, but i ended up with a 32A radio and SPL, and now my MyTouch 1.2 won't boot.
It WILL boot in fastboot and hboot
It WONT boot in recovery or regularly
I have tried "fastboot erase radio" (and erasing cache), i have tried the stock MyTouch 1.2/Fender "sappimg.zip" but none have gotten past flashing the Radio, it stops when the little red bar is about 97% full.
Tried logcat, but apparently it doesn't work in fastboot mode :-/
Can anyone help?
It is now at:

Fastboot USB

EDIT:
Ok, now when i try booting regularly (or just pop the battery in) the phone shows the bright green "MyTouch3G" screen, but with the words "FASTBOOT USB" in the uppermost left-hand corner, where the word "SAPPHIRE" would be in normal fastboot mode.....really weird. SERIOUSLY hoping someone has an idea....

BUMP: Guys, this is really urgent. I have been searching all over XDA, Google, and the CM forums, but haven't found any procedures that work. This thread has been up for almost 17 hours, and has 69 views (lol) but no replies.
This is REALLY urgent, and I am trying to be as calm as possible, so i can get some help.
PLEASE post any ideas you may have.

Are you seeing anything on the screen besides "fastboot USB"? It really sounds like you messed with it until you REALLY got it hosed. Does your computer still recognize the phone by running "fastboot devices" in ADB?

Yeah, computer recognizes fastboot, i can flash everything EXEPT radio. That's the problem. When i try to flash a radio ".img" file, the second (RED) progress bar gets stuck right before it finishes flashing, and stays like that until i pull the battery, when it says "Flash FAILED (too many links)" or something like that.
Is it possible i damaged the radio partition or something? Can it be repaired?

Please answer the other question.

Well actually, now it shows the regular MyTouch slashcreen, not "Fastboot USB" at the top anymore. And I'm talking about a regular boot. Like i previously said, fastboot works fine except flashing a radio.

OK, so what are you showing when you boot into fastboot? Do you have a working goldcard?

Yes, i have a working goldcard, and at the moment, the phone shows:

Thanks in advance for all your help, bro.

Alright, think I know what you did wrong. You need to reflash the sappimg that got you here:
SAPPHIRE UNKNOWN 32A ENG S-OFF H
HBOOT-1.33.2010 (SAPP31000)
It may fail trying to update the radio because it's the same version you already have. If you get back to S-OFF, then try flashing the radio.img from fasboot. If it work your good to go, just need to finish flashing everything. Remember, flash in the following order (after getting back to S-OFF):
radio
hboot
recovery
Let me know what happens after you try flashing the sappimg again.
If you need anything you can get them from here:
sappimg.zip for myTouch 1.2 only
radio.img for myTouch 1.2 only
hboot.nb0 for myTouch 1.2 only
Amon Ra 1.7.0-G Recovery

TBH, I flashed the 32A SPL and Radio separately, it wasn't the 2010 that got me the 6.xx radio.
I'll try anyway, thanks.
EDIT: Ok, flashed back to the 2010 Engineering SPL, and tried to flash the "radio.img" first (using RadioSwitcherGUI v4.1), and got:
flashing "radio"- PLEASE WAIT
"radio" flash- FAILED
and with Fastboot:
Sending radio....OKAY
(and gets stuck on..) flashing radio............
At this point the phone is sitting next to me frozen trying to update the radio, but the red status bar froze right before it finished.
I've tried wiping the radio partition, and all other partitions (except the "bootloader" partition, even I'M not that stupid ), and tried it again, but it froze again on the red status bar, in the same spot.
(In case you dont know, there are two steps, a GREEN status bar, showing fastboot uploading the "radio.img" file to the phone, and the RED status bar, showing its progress with the flash).

BUMP: (see update above)

EDIT:
Ok, my mom decided to call T-Mobile and get me a replacement device, and apparently they ran out of MyTouch's, so they are going to send me a free Motorola Cliq (SWEET, physical keyboard!)
I do have a question though, is it safe to send it back with fastboot saying a different SPL and Radio version than it shipped with? or should i erase all partitions?

Actually you can fix it VERY easily.
What you had is a known problem..
To fix it you first have to match the radio and spl versions..
Then you can change your radio...
So... to fix:
flash 1.76.2007 spl to match the radio...
Then you change both radio and spl to a good combo for your phone.. e.g.:
spl= 1.33.2010, radio = 2.22.23.02, recovery= Amon RA G-version...
When this is done... the last thing is to flash the system/android system..
This can be done from fastboot using img files or done from the custom recovery using normal rom.zip!
This has been answered like 5-8 times before my me alone. not to mention the others...
I hope that it works out for you :0)

Some info regarding the above:
The spl has internal info about where the different partitions on the nand are located. When you try to flash the radio and you have a bad combo, the spl tries to flash the radio on bad partition table and it will fail...
But when you flash the spl it will succedes due that the spl is always located on the SAME partition and actually has the same size (512 kb).
Using the good combo... you can then change both spl and radio to match the system..
This is only my thoughts about the issue and not exact facts... it's more complicated than that :0)

Well to be honest i don't WANT to fix it anymore, since I'm getting a new phone, but i need to know if i can send it back with the 2010 SPL and 6.xx radio without any problems from T-Mobile?

Then just erase all partitions..
It will not even turn on...
Code:
fastboot erase system
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase data
fastboot erase misc
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot erase radio
fastboot erase hboot

This should be epic
Thanks!
EDIT: BWAHAHAHA IT IS DEAD! (Sorry, i get a little nutty sometimes).

what about this
i have

wrong flashing RUU..and stuck here,,radio and SPL are match ..
and i can't do anything, fastboot remote not allowed.
trying flashing with RUU again and stuck when unzipping system at 81%..
any advice for me?..
what does it mean fail-iE..when flashing boot.

wow thank you so much. just spent the last 3 hours searching for this and thanks to you i just fixed the mytouch issue. thank you again.

[HELP!] Need some major help! MYtouch 1.2

Well my phone has no recovery installed, nor does it have a system/OS.
I have the Hboot 1.33.2010 flashed using the goldcard method. Now having that installed I should be able to flash radios spls, etc.....but I can't. I always get (Remote: Signature Verify Fail).
I can also flash back to the original ROM with sappimg, but It flashes everything...but the system and it hangs there forever.
My question is, how can I get my phone working again either with the stock rom, or another with only Goldcard, and Fastboot availble?
P.s. My phone reads
SAPPHIRE UNKNOWN 32A ENG S-ON H
HBOOT-1.33.2010 (SAPP31000)
CPID 13
RADIO-3.22.20.17
It's bricked like mine is, you must have flashed the wrong radio to it. :-(
Well I do believe I might have made some progress!! I was able to reflash the stock radio, spl, and all the jazz. However when it does to update/unzipping the system, it just hangs I even let it sit there for 20 mins.
So basically I have the stock radio and spl, but no recovery and no OS Installed..... what can I do from here?
Mine is still under warranty, I send it to T-MOBILE.
Let's see if they fix it or they reject it once they see the HTC logo on the splash screen when it boots.

Can't Access Recovery

Before you read, if you can't help, don't post criticizing.
I am fairly new at all of this and understand that this is purely my fault and I did something wrong. Before I call my phone a brick (which, by definition it is not) I thought I would see if anyone had any ideas on how to fix it.
I tried preparing my system to be able to use SuperEclair. I flashed my Radio to 6.35.10.18 and my SPL to 1.76.2007. I then put Amon_RA's recovery (1.6.2) for the 32A board. I boot up my phone and try to put it into Recovery Mode, doesn't work.
I then try to start anew, and reload the sappimg.zip using my gold card. It hangs on Radio2.
I then go to fastboot mode and try to redo the radio there, along with re-flashing the SPL and recovery. The radio goes through the whole process, but at the end of it, it hangs as the red bar reaches the top.
Basically I am stuck on Radio 6.35.10.18 and I cannot access recovery.
My phone is a Magic1.2/MyTouch3G w/ 3.5mm jack.
Basically:
Sapphire Unknown 32A ENG S-OFF H
HBOOT-1.33.2010
CPLD-13
RADIO-6.35.10.18
I can access fastboot (Power+Back) and Hboot (Power+Volume down) modes. I cannot access recovery (Power+Home). It hangs on the first splashscreen that says "HTC Magic".
I have read things about using Nandroid, but I have no experience with this. If you have an answer, but no time, just reference it and I can do my own research. Any help is appreciated.

Hello. There is a new AmonRA recovery. 1.7.0. I think what you did was make a mistake at what recovery you installed on there. Do you have a T-Mobile branded MyTouch3G?
I have one of those with a 32A boards. However mine says "G".
What AmonRA Recovery did you use? (G or H)
T-Mobile branded MyTouch.
I used the H version of the recovery.
Let me try using the H version of 1.7.0.
I have a T-Mobile MT3G. Mine is a "G" try using that one.
Did G work?
Everything is fixed. I suppose I was using both the wrong release and/or the wrong version.
Thank you very much.

Flashed 32B on 32A HTC Magic

So I have bought a HTC Magic in Singapore about a year ago.
Some of the information about my phone before it got stucked in HTC Magic power-on screen:

I found a site that helped me to get my phone rooted as follow:

Soon after, I started searching for new ROM elsewhere and managed to update my SPL to 1.33.2007 and that's where problem starts to occur..
My phone get stucked on HTC Magic screen display forever.
I was eager to get this problem solved and have not done enough research before I got myself in a worse situation with the phone hbooted like this:
SAPPHIRE UNKNOWN 32A SHIP S-ON G
HBOOT-1.33.0006 (SAPP10000)
CPLD-12
RADIO-2.22.19.26I
May 27 2009,19:06:41
Now I can only enter hboot and fastboot.
Can somebody help me to at least get back to my original ROM? I don't wanna root my phone ever again..
Help please~
If you can get into fastboot you're fine. Just flash 32A radio/spl again and then the desired ROM. Old radio/spl - 1.33.X/3.22.X New radio/spl 1.76.X/6.35.
yeah when turning on the phone hold home and power, if you get the recovery menu then you got nothing to worry about, just flash the proper rom and all will be fine, there is even a stock htc rom with root around here.
right here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=622038
but you dont have to go back to stock, you just need to put on a rom that fits your phone. i personally suggest this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=654284
so good luck post back when you get it figured out
Thank you Reziukas and sike89 for the reply..
I will try the ROM recommended in the links. =)
I cannot get into recovery (-Home- & -Power-) now due to the perfected SPL (1.33.0006).
And whenever I use the goldcard method that flooded over the internet, I always get this "Main version is older!" failure message.
I think I have made the goldcard correctly cause it worked while I was trying to flash my 1.76.0007 SPL to 1.76.2007.
Any idea?
when you hold home and power what does it do?
did you root your phone with the recovery-RA-hero-v1.6.2.img?
I did but after I flashed RADIO-2.22.19.26I with SPL 1.33.0006 I can't get into this recovery mode anymore.
When I press Home and Power, it starts booting but stucked on HTC Magic screen forever..
Easily said it, I can only enter hboot (vol down and power) and fastboot (back and power) now..
Procedure
1.Turn your phone off. Turn it on by holding Back and Power, or Vol. down and Power. Either way, boot into the bootloader.
You should see the three Androids on skateboards, and the menu title should say "Fastboot".
2.Connect your device to the computer. The display on your phone should now say "Fastboot USB".
3.Open up the shell/terminal on your computer, and type
fastboot devices [enter]Your device should be listed with it's serial number, and should say "fastboot".
4.Change directory to where you have saved your recovery image. I.e. type "cd /path/to/recovery.img in windows prompt, press enter.
5.You may issue a "dir" command (Windows) or "ls" (Unix/Linux) to make sure you are at the right directory, or just skip this step.
6.Type
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Check your phone's display, as recovery is being sent and flashed to your device.
Check your command prompt/shell to make sure the process is over.
i got all that from Binary100100 who got it from here http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php/RE-recovery-img
give that a shot
also maybe this might help

I seem like I cannot use the fastboot command in 1.33.0006 SPL??
Whenever I type a fastboot command and press enter, I always get an error message.
>> ... FAILED (remote: not allow)
Do we have any windows application that can help to bypass all checking on the phone stats and proceeds with fastboot flash directly?
Perfected spl, you need to make yourself a goldcard
Goldcard doesn't seem to work..
Whenever I try to flash a new radio, it prompted me an error message "Main version is older!"..
What to do?
when it says main version is older it means you need the goldcard.
do you have a working goldcard? if not use this
http://revskills.de/downloads/psas.zip it will make the gold card.
No need for phone?
Hello there.
I was reading this thread and I'm having a similar problem.
I have a question, sike89.
Is it possible to create the goldcard just with the software you mentioned?
My magic 32a will only go into fastboot (stuck at splash screen) and so
I won't be able to use my phone to create the card.
Thanks!
As mentioned by YamatoDelgato, I cannot boot up my phone and thus far I am unable to re-create a goldcard.
But this "goldcard" I am using right now was a working goldcard and I am surprised that it doesn't work all the times..
By the way, I found an alternative on internet saying that you can use other HTC Magic phone to create a goldcard for your phone; Although I am not sure if its gonna work out, just give it a shot..
Sike89, am I right to say that this application does not require any HTC phone in order to create a goldcard?
I can just format my SD card using PC and input the necessary information into the application to create goldcard, is it true?
Problem Solved...with a Sacrifice.
Well I managed to get my phone booting again.
I have a rogers phone so I used their "mandatory"
update (2 sappimgs) to get my phone working again.
However, this resulted in getting the dreaded
SPL 1.76.0010 meaning I can't root it easily.
However, I know that with a working
phone that I now have, I could use it to obtain
a gold card.
Boy that was scary!
I'm so scared to try rooting again but I probably will hehe !
Thanks to xda community and google search!
I lost my original nandroid backup but did manage to install an original ROM on my 32B (Vodafone). Took some work but it worked Afterwards I wrote a tutorial about it (google How to restore your custom ROMed HTC Magic (Vodafone 32B) – a walk through, I can't post links yet).

Magic stuck on "htc magic" boot screen after Engineering SPL... and bad Nandroid, ugh

Magic stuck on "htc magic" boot screen after Engineering SPL... and bad Nandroid, ugh
Please help, I'm stuck on a boot screen, compounded by an apparently bad Nandroid backup
I just got a Rogers Magic so I can get 3G on AT&T. (couldn't with my T-mo G1) Rooted it, installed the RA-Sapphire recovery and took two Nandroid backups (one with, one without Ext)
Here was my starting point:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A SHIP S-ON H
HBOOT- 1.76.0010 (SAPP50000)
CPLD-12
RADIO- 6.35.10.18
Plan was to install Cyanogen 6.1.0 (like my G1). This requires that I downgrade the radio, and I was planning on using RadioSwitcher tool to make life simpler.
The tool requires an engineering SPL be installed, and points to this Magic SPL Hboot collection thread
I've downloaded and/or tried (in this order):
Stock: 1.76.0010 (as noted above)
Engineering SPL 1.33.2010 (from the SPL collection thread the tool instructions pointed to)
1.76.2007 SPL (from the Cyanogen Wiki on Magic 32A with 6.35 radio)
Engineering SPL 1.33.2009 (from the SPL collection thread the tool instructions are pointed to)
So when I tried using the tool to switch the radio to a Radio_HTC_PVT_32A_3.22.20.17 [supplied], I got these results:
Stock 1.76.0010 - tool won't update radio without an engineering SPL. Device boots up no problem.
Engineering 1.33.2010 - tool uses Fastboot, I see progress bar, then screen goes black and tool reports "Radio update: FAILURE". Device now won't boot, hangs on "htc magic" boot screen.
Tried to restore - Nandroid restore issue noted below.
Engineering 1.76.2007 - same progress bar/black screen, update "FAILURE", and device won't boot.
Engineering 1.33.2009 - same progress bar/black screen, update "FAILURE", and device won't boot.
(I tried posting on that Radioswitcher thread but it's locked or closed or I'm just not able to post on it.)
I don't feel comfortable randomly trying SPL's, especially as I'm guessing there's simply a lack of understanding on my part as to which SPL is compatible with my current phone/radio. I'm hoping someone here can help with that.
Currently, this is how the phone sits:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A SHIP S-ON H
HBOOT- 1.33.2009 (SAPP50000)
CPLD-12
RADIO- 6.35.10.18
...not able to boot, not able to restore:
I can get into recovery, but it's also testing me:
When I try to flash anything from SD, I get "E: can't mount SDCARD:" If I select "USB-MS Toggle" then disable it and come back, then it appears to work - but doesn't give me warm and fuzzies.
Nandroid restore - either backup gives "Error: run 'nandroid-mobile.sh restore' via adb!"
That really makes me uncomfortable and puts me a bit out of my comfort zone - I was counting on the Nandroid backup as my safety net... never had any issues with my G1 and Clockworkmod recovery.
Thankfully, I have the trusty G1 I can plug my SIM card into to use as a phone...
But I really need to get this working or it's a lot of money, and hopes, down the drain.
Help - please!
I used this guide to root my phone to begin with - I see there's an engineering SPL option in there also.
Although I said I wasn't going to try pot-shot SPL attempts, this was part of the rooting process I followed originally, and someone suggested that I try that one.
I can't boot my phone so I couldn't follow that process exactly, but I extracted the SPL file from that zip file and put it on the SD card using my PC, then booted into recovery to flash that Eng SPL...
...and still the Magic won't boot up. I can't tell if this is even any different than the previous SPL - or rather if the problem preventing boot is a problem, if it's tied to the SPL (numerous SPL-swaps would seem to indicate no?) and if it's different.
Now I'm here:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A SHIP S-ON H
HBOOT- 1.76.2007 (SAPP50000)
CPLD-12
RADIO- 6.35.10.18
Stop...you have an eng spl... Thats all what you need!
You are working the BLIND...
For every spl there are matching radios...
For the 1.76.2007 spl, you can use any 6.35 radio for magic.
For the 1.33.20xx(xx can be 04,05,10) you can use 3.22 radios.
All the above are eng spl, which basically gives extends read/write permissions.
With the eng you can flash what ever partition you want, e.g. system, radio or recovery.
The reason you can't boot is that you have **** up your system.... That we can fix easy :0)
Radio/spl **** ups -> not to so easy to fix.
You have a good combo now, let's get you a good system.
First, you need to flash a different recovery to make sure it works with the 6.35 radio.
Download my fastboot commander tool (magic version, check my signature) and it will do it for you the easy way.
When you have the tool, go to magic 32A tab.
There you can find two buttons, one for 6.35 radio combo a.k.a new radio.
You also find one for 3.22 radio a.k.a. old radio.
The tool will flash an entire combo of radio, spl and recovery that matches :0)
so... this what you have to do, choose 1 and only 1:
1) use the tool to flash "new" combo, reboot into recovery and flash any rom that is for the new radio (6.35). Check out the development sections for roms.
2) use the tool to flash "old" combo, reboot into recovery and flash any rom that is for the old radio (3.22). E.g. cyanogenmod from this page:
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Latest_version#MagicCM6
Remember to flash the EBI 1 kernel or else the system will not boot.
The gapps (at the buttom of the page) are optional but recommend :0)
Good luck, and stop working the BLIND!
Sounds good...
Should I expect that after flashing the "old" images, that I'd be able to boot my phone into the stock OS again (1.5 with Sense)?
Or should I just skip that [if that's not a good test] and just proceed with loading the Cyanogen ROM?
Very much appreciated, and thanks again.
Also, one thing I'm concerned with - I've seen some notes along the way that the Magic requires a custom Kernel to install Cyanogen... I'm not sure what the Kernel really even is. Do you have any insight into that?
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=How_to_build_a_kernel_port_for_CM6
I've got the 32A - but those instructions are hardly 'download this file and flash':
"If you want to build a EBI1 kernel port package to get it to run on a 32A Magic (with 288 MB total RAM), or a phone with the 3.xxx radio such as the Rogers 32A Magic and Rogers Dream, then you can follow the instructions below:"
...and those instructions are long, and most intimidatingly - vague (much is implied, not all explicitly stated).
Yikes...
..........
I flashed the "old", and the phone now gets stuck in a boot loop on the "Rogers" (before the "HTC Magic" where it was getting stuck before).
The recovery is still the RA-sapphire-v1.7.OH... is that the Amon Ra?
I'll take a backup in this state, test-restore it (I know from experience with my G1 that the "HTC Magic" splash screen will be replaced with a Cyanogenmod one, with the Cyano 6.1.0) then put the Cyanogen on there and cross my fingers that I don't need to mess with that Kernel procedure...
EDIT:
I have a backup that restores - unfortunately it puts me back to the original "can't boot" state, lol.
Anyway, so after I took that backup, I proceeded to flash Cyano and the tiny Gapps.
I'm still getting hung on the Rogers screen - the Cyanogenmod boot screen doesn't come up.
WTF, you know?
EDIT 2:
I forgot to list my current state:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A ENG S-OFF H
HBOOT-1.33.2010 (SAPP50000)
CPLD-12
RADIO-3.22.20.17
Let me know if you can help, thanks
i think now you can boot into recovery and wipe everything and then try to flash the rom from sd card/
READ what is written...
You are still messing **** up...
You cannot boot ANYTHING until you get a working system on the device...
You keep "booting" to nothing because there is NOTHING to boot...
STOP for a second and READ.
I have giving you 2 options... do one of them...
The Cyanogenmod need EBI 1 kernel which you can find on the same page i gave you..
if you read the instructions, you also find i have written that...
Once again to be sure, flash EBI 1 kernel after the CM rom, then you flash gapps and you should be good to go...
Or flash "new" combo and download this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=778083
I can't help any more if you don't READ before you act!
I did... wanted to take it one conservative step at a time... operating with a bad backup here... ;-) And that Kernel page on the Cyanogen wiki is just evil... it should have a source to download one and apply, for us mere mortals lol.
I downloaded an already built, already compiled EBI1 kernel, and that did work nicely. Phew.
Thanks for the tool and the help - I couldn't have done it without your help.
Okay, so question! I've got the same problem this person has with the starting point:

Does your phone boot into the ROM?
I should probably explain a bit:
So my phone is caught at the "HTC Magic" screen at the startup. It won't go on any farther than that. When I hold down the VOLUME DOWN key and press the END key, I can bring up the screen that states the following:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A SHIP S-ON H
HBOOT- 1.76.0010 (SAPP50000)
CPLD-12
RADIO- 6.35.10.18
The screen does give me some menu options:
HBOOT
<BACK> FastBoot Mode
<SEND> Simlock
When I press BACK, I get another set of menu options:
FASTBOOT
<VOL DOWN> HBoot Mode

..did that answer your question? ..i'm not sure.. LOL!
Yeah, so it's not booting into the ROM. Did you have root before? Did you have a custom recovery installed? Can you get into it by pressing home+power?
I bought the phone off of ebay so I don't know what was programmed on the phone before I got it.. :/

The HOME+POWER buttons bring me to a screen where there's a picture of a "!" inside of a triangle by the phone..
Your going to have to root using the goldcard method. A Google search of "root 32A magic goldcard" should get you were you need to be.
Okay, so I'm sorry to be such a noob, but I got everything ready for a Goldcard (cable and a new kingston SD), but then what I need is to set up the ADB which requires me to connect the phone to a computer.. I cannot access anything on the phone via the computer except for the memory.. the drivers won't install.
I'm using this website's instructions:
/theunlockr.com/2010/03/10/how-to-create-a-goldcard/[/url]
So, the second step is to create an ADB, and then the third requires me to access the phone itself and unmount the SD.. I'm kind of at a loss at this point..
what should I do?
You'll have to see if a friend has a phone that you can borrow to make the goldcard. The steps will be the same and it'll work on any phone running Android.

Wrongly flashed 32A SPL on 32B - any chance to recover?

Well, I accidentally flash a 32A SPL on my 32B myTouch.
Good thing (may be) is I still can access to fastboot.
Bad thing is it turned to S-ON & I can't boot to recovery.
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A SHIP S-ON H
HBOOT-1.33.0009 (SAPP30000)
CPLD-10
RADIO-6.35.16.19
I searched most of related topics in xda but could not find any clear solution yet.
Please help me what to do to recover my beloved Sapphire.

If you can fastboot, you need to flash a 1.76... SPL to go with your 6.35 radio like 1.76.2007.
fastboot flash hboot hboot-1.76.2007.img
Might be due to S-ON, it won't allow me to write any SPL, radio or recovery img. When I used the Radio Switcher, it said failure. When I used adb, it said "signature verify fail".
I even tried to use SAPPIMG.nhb but it stucked at radio update.
The last hope there is I still can access to the holy fastboot.
Please help me, guys.

1)See the radio version... thats for the 32A devices... big no-no
2)see the spl... there is a mismatch between the spl and radio... second big no-no.
3) see the 32A... it should be 32B.. third big no-no
The only way you can flash anything is by flashing a matching spl, so the radio and spl can work together.. from there you flash a different combo to match the device you have. The problem is you have s-on, the forth no-no, which complicates thing further...
In other words, you are in deep sh't :0|
You are not completely bricked... but you are very close to...
The fix:
It's a very dangerous approach... post here if you are willing to take a major risk :0)
Thanks mumilover.
I do know that I'm in deep deep Sh!T.
Please post your solution, as I consider my phone in dead anyway now. Can take any risk for testing purpose
Start with these commands:
Code:
fastboot getvar version-main
fastboot oem h
Post back the results
Hey,
as described here I've got the same problem as camapghe. I'm very intrested in hearing this dangerous approach. So please tell us.
Here is the requested output from my device:
Code:
-bash-4.1$ fastboot getvar version-main
version-main: 1.89.162.1
-bash-4.1$ fastboot oem h
... INFOcommand list
INFOkeytest
INFOheap
INFOboot
INFOreset
INFOpowerdown
INFOrebootRUU
INFOtask
INFOrtask
OKAY
-bash-4.1$
The thing is, i got my magic stolen... so it's very hard for me to tell you all the steps from memory... so.. i just pm'ed you my email so we can do it together over gtalk :0)
Code:
fastboot getvar version-main
version-main: 1.88.531.1
fastboot oem h
...
(bootloader) command list
(bootloader) keytest
(bootloader) heap
(bootloader) boot
(bootloader) reset
(bootloader) powerdown
(bootloader) rebootRUU
(bootloader) task
(bootloader) rtask
Then, what should I do now?
@ mumilover: I sent you my gmail contact
Guys, I think the danger approach original guide is
HERE
@mumilover: please have a look at this link & confirm what should us (me & Crazy_Scientist) should do next. I'm dare NOT to try any more without guidance from professional.
Update 1:
I just tried a bit & confirmed that I CAN boot in rebootRUU. Waiting for mumilover's guide.
Update 2:
Now stuck in RUU mode. Feel like I'm r*ping my phone's corpse. Ha ha ha.
The guide you referring to has a set of well known commands, like the sd-card enabler and flash of misc partition.
But it does not help us in your case.
What i want to do is something else... i want to flash a RUU using a goldcard.. but while the device is flashing we take out the battery in the right moment... this way we force to flash the only spl... this way we gain a matching combo, and then try to forcefully boot the device... it will not succeed to boot all the way, but i will give us some time to try a different approach :0)
PS: i got your pm, but the time difference makes it a little hard to communicate :0|
So, that will be the idea. I think I know what to do.
But I don't have any RUU img with good SPL yet. If you know any, please provide me the link. Thanks.
Besides, from the command in fastboot, I found that I always stuck at radio point 97 when updating radio. The rest will be ok.
What I want to ask is there any sappimg that can update without / bypassing radio update?

Not a sappimg, the second part of the sappimg flash process is going to be the radio. AFAIK, there is no way to bypass this.
And Crazy_Scientist is back to life running CM and enjoying his non-brick :0)
It took 3 hours to get him back to a running system, and 7.5 min to root and flash custom rom hihihihi
camapghe please post here so i can see you still active or not... no logic in writing the solution if the OP is absent :0)
And just as a side-note, every sappimg.(nbh|zip) has it's own flash order... so the trick is to flash a sappimg which flashes the spl before the radio... and stop it before it updates the version-main nr, so we can flash a different sappimg just after it without the need to change the misc partition.
