Update – HTC Legend Android 2.2 Firmware Over The Air (FOTA) update
You can now download the latest software update for new features and improved performance. It won’t delete any of your content and we’d recommend using a Wi-Fi connection as this is a large update. If not, standard data connection charges may apply. Any questions? Contact us via www.htc.com. After installing the update, you can confirm a successful update by confirming the Firmware version (From the Home Screen go to MENU> Settings> About Phone>Software number). The new Software number will be 3.15.405.3. Update Information: Android 2.2 and HTC Sense update Note: We still recommend you back up your all personal data first.
however I tried it using the (Vodafone) brand ,but no update.

I've been getting a notification about a security update on my magic. It claims to have already downloaded it (4.6mb), and is asking to install and reboot.
Does anyone know any details about the update? Version numbers, etc? What it changes?
Forgot to mention my current versions:
baseband - 62.50s.20.17u_2.22.19.26I
Kernel - 2.6.27-00392-g8312baf [email protected] #72
Build - crb17
I never received such notification. When I go to System Update, it says that my phone is already up to date. It got exactly the same version as yours.
Me neither - all versions the same. :-o
all Magics with CRB17 software will soon receive an over the air
(OTA) software update approximately 4.5 MB in size
This is a security patch, and nothing to worry about it, everyone with the affected software should get it in the next week.
I'm more worried about it blocking any future hacked firmwares being installed - eg the new rooted firmware 6.0
Upgrade in Vodafone ES network
I have just updated the firmware of my magic. It had CRB17. After the upgrade the new software versions are:
CRB43
62.50S.20.17U_2.22.19.26I
2.6.27-00393-g6607056
bye
i have received today the same notification in my htc (vodafone spain). But, what about the root??
@IsAhT sorry but I did not have it rooted before the update, so I cannot tell you the effects of this upgrade over a rooted terminal.
got the same thing right now...i just updated it..
i guess .......... if it is just a update to the firmware system should not effect the rooting.
How does the update process work? I'm on a rooted Vodafone UK Magic, but using the Orange mobile network. I've installed Haykuro's SPL, and About phone -> System updates says it's up to date, but the build is CRB17.
Maybe I should give his 6.0r1 ROM a try...
well i am on voda uk and i am not getting any updating because im using the 6.0 sapphire rom were the system update is disable obviously.
that you are on orange and still running CRB17 should be able to get the update. i think they roll the update gradually like TMOBILE done with the G1 to upgrade to cupcake 1.5,they started with 10% then 20% and so on of the G1 population till they hit 100%.
so after the rooting process installing haykuro's SPL, whats the 'best' rom to choose and where can i get it?.
im on CRB17 as well after trying to get root, which i dont think worked. Is there pre-rooted rom floating about?
im on vodafone UK magic as well
I just checked the OTA-Update manually (Preferences->Info) and there it was.
Download just finished (79.88 MB) the name is:
OTA_hero_HTC_WWE_3.32.405.1
It has been rolled out in Bulgaria as well.
logcat please

Ok, now we have the 2.1... but how should i as a root user with stock 1.5 rom handle this? Can i directly install this update (when it's rooted) or do i have to install the pre-update for that? Would be nice to hear an answer
No update message yet for my T-Mobile G2 Touch (Netherlands)
Also checked manually and started the download -> Switzerland
croatia too
jupi
Sad the copy text feature in the Browser is still broken on 2.1... a cursor appears but can't be moved with the trackball I can only select by touching which is not really accurate.
Since Whole Europe gets the same update, so, the same version, is HTC now able to push the next update faster (if they come anyway?)

Probably no other major updates coming for the hero.. bug fixes possibly.. but we would be very very lucky to get an official froyo upgrade.
Sprint has already announced that it will not be providing Froyo for the Sprint hero.. So I think chances are slim for the GSM
I noticed that with the new 2.3.3 update there are 4 different types of updates. Which ones are safe for rooted users?
Firmware Update
Update Profile
Update PRL
HTC Software Update
Hello, just want to know how to update my phone to Marshmallow?
Model: Huawei GRA-L09
Build: GRA-L09 C109B190
Android version: 5.0.2
EMUI version: EMUI 3.1
Thank you so much in advance
You don't mention which country & network operator, so safest way for now is to try an OTA update from within your phone: Settings > Update > Check for updates.
Also try: HiCare app > Me tab > Check for updates and HiCare app > Service tab > OS Upgrade Early Adopters
If already done, & it doesn't work, & you are from France & purchased the phone from Orange, then follow bflatmajor's successful method (1st & last post) in this thread: Huawei P8 help request
Edit: Also, from B200, it should be possible to go to B370 next (so you can skip the B321a update).
If you are from a different country & operator, please let us know.
It is not clear from bflatmajor's thread exactly which pages/tutorials/downloads he used on the German site to do the updates. Also, it looks like he updated B190 to B200 first, then to B321a - so would be best to post in the above thread to confirm this, & also the pages/tutorials/downloads he used on the German site.
Precautions & Disclaimer:
1. Before attempting, make sure you have done a thorough, restorable backup
2. Have enough battery power remaining (or keep it plugged in during the update)
3. Do not interrupt the updating process in any way
4. After updating to Marshmallow using bflatmajor's method, your phone will most probably not receive any more OTA updates from Orange, & may also invalidate the phone's warranty.
5. If anything goes wrong, you could end up with a bricked/non-working/irreparable phone, which is your responsibility alone. So, if it is working fine now, best to leave alone.
