I am running JDMS 1.6.1 Ultimate, and the resolution size is very small. So small that i can barely even read it. I have searched and know that the problem is with the build.prob. Ive tried editing it but cant fix it. Can someone please help me?

Im not following you. Are you talking about DPI or about resolution.
Becouse when resolution is smaller interface and stuff are bigger. But as far as i know all builds use native resolution for HD2.
Try changing DPI in startup.txt to 240

so far I was not brave enough to change the resolutin in WM/Snapvue.
Those who did and have some experience.
What is preferrable? 96 or 128 dpi?
Are there programmes it doesn't work with? Is that different with 96 or 128 dpi?
Do you know if it works with SPB's "Diary" and "Pocket Plus"?
And here the most important question, is it possible to reverse it all without a hard reset?
This is my idea.
I make a backup with SPB's backup, before I change the resolution to reverse it, if I do not like it.
Can the backup work? Experts? Or is there any reason why it can't work?

yes, realvga can put you back to the default 192dpi so no hard reset needed.

Maybe someone can answer some of the other question, I would be very grateful, especially if it works with none English versions.

with real VGA, you have to be careful with non english version ... but I think that having the /windows/startup/ folder (filled with the same content that the one in "your" language) is enough.

I have installed 128 dpi, but spb plus doesn't work and SPB Diary doesn't change the resolution. If SPB pocket plus works, then I do not know how to make it work.
So my question. How can I get rid of all the files that were installed for 128 dpi. Are they all the files that are in Respack128.cab? Are they only in the windows folder? Any other files in a different folder? Can anything go wrong when I delete them one by one? What about the registry? Are there entries to delete? Please, some tips are very, very welcome. Thanks!!!!

PS Before I changed to 128 dpi, I made a backup with SPB backup. If I do that, will all the new files be deleted? Does any one know?

Hi,
I tried again with 96dpi resolution and miraculously SPB's pocket plus works with this resolution. Not everything works fine, but I like this resolution and will leave it like this as most important parts I use work quite well.

Hi guys ... when I use Registry Editor (a GREAT app, btw) I cannot see the complete names in the upper line as shown in attached screencap. I don't know if this is a screen layout problem of WinMo, or a problem of Registry Editor itself ... Not a big thing, I know, but any help will be appreciated.

Settings\Device Info shows display resolution as being 480x800 ... afaik, that would be WVGA?

is it possible to run a program with a 240x320 display resolution?
I ask, because I want to run the WherIGo-Player on the HD2, but the is a display error.

It seem that the WherIGo-Player has problems with the 480x800 display.
Can I switch the display to 240x320 pixel ?

I'm afraid you can't change screen resolution on smart devices like you can on a PC. There is an app on xda that lowers the vertical dimension of your screen res (you could get 480x640 or 480x480), but it doesn't actually change the resolution, and it doesn't change the width of the display, so you couldn't use it to get 240x320.
Your best bet is to contact support at Wherigo and see if they have any advice.

i have problem with games displaying on the screen.
When i was using original ROM and radio, all games programmed for HTC HD were working perfectly- fullscreen.
Since i installed new ROM and new radio, any of games working properly. even them HD games. I see them in very small window in the corner of the display.I tried to install many of new ROMs and different radios, but its still same. DOes anybody have same problem?
I tried to find thread about this on this forum but i dint find any. If there is one,iam sorry for starting new.

iam sending the screen how the games look like.. even if they are made in resolution for HD they all show in window like this. Before i unlocked the phone it worked fine. SOrry for low quality of picture.

Since your device is WVGA. I suggest your search for WVGA fix,RealVGA and any others resolution changer.
If you know about programming language,you may use WinceCabManager to edit cab file and change the code inside....

Works properly (except for very high battery consumption) on every build I tried.
yes it works now I had to change the dpi to 240 now skype works very well but everything is so big I was so used to 180 anyway thanks for your reply

hey bro, i faced the same problem too, "Force closed" due to the size problem. I guess you are using 2.44.4 version swype version? I think this version is HVGA version. That's why the size doesnt fit our hd2 if not mistaken.
Finally i found another version which is WVGA which works perfectly on our hd2 without changing the dpi.... let me know if you want this version. i can send to you.

I would like to have it
download spare parts from market, and uncheck compatibility mode. then change your LCD density back to 180 and reboot. see if it will work.
