Hi kasimpasali,
You can use EVERY ROM out there.
I think, this would be your first custom ROM.
You have to read the feedbacks on the ROM.
Read through the last few pages of each desired ROM.
In the end, it's your choice

Hi
I really need a stable gingerbread rom to flash for my samsung galaxy S that hasnt been modded in anyway and can a guide be posted with it? btw currently running DTJP5 2.2 Optus Stock
Thanks in advance
Daniel
There is plenty of information out there if you do a very brief look/search and out of respect to the forum by reading the faq's
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmvCpR45LKA&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Insanity cm017/glitch v10c
the most stable rom is probably official stock rom from Samsung with no modifications.
check this thread for untouched stock roms that can be flashed using odin
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1011901
or deodexed stock roms also flashed using odin or cwm
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=948790
flash the deodexed roms if you want to apply other modifications easily using cwm

Base ROM can be any cm (cynogen mod) based ROM.
Unfortunately no cm based ROM has been made for grand2.

please do NOT post incorrect (or partially correct) information..
base ROM is:
The ROM which is Developed For your Mobile..
which also includes GEN-NXT ROM, any cm ROM, or AOSP ROM, or PAC or ANY other "ROM" developed for our device.
and files u download from sammobile or Samsung-updates are NOT roms , they are firmwares..
so don't download firmwares for porting
for our device, you can use GEN-NXT ROM as base.
and any other device's ROM (eg. s3 stock BASED custom rom)as your port ROM.

Hi
Review your setting , wifi , mail , Facebook........see what is running all the time , use something like Better Battery Stats is the only way to find out what is making the phone to get hot.
Please make sure there is no OC , what kernel are you using?

If you are a new user then don't use different kernels. There is not much benefit for you in it. Just flash the rom and don't flash kernels.
Thanks for the replies but Im using the same sittings as I was using before on stock ROM and I did not overlock etc
But changed my kernal cuz the ROM developer wrote in the thread that if you experience slow downs or heatups
Flash this :
So I did it did not solve anything
And here is my kernal stuff Baseband version
