Hi guys,
Through the wonderful creations of a couple of guys here on the forum, I've installed the Deimos Scum Mod theme for the homescreen++ as shown here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...age=5&post=#49
However, everytime I click on the email button, it keeps on going to my outlook main page whenever email shows 0. If there's unread email, it will always go to my messaging main page. But it will always read the correct number of total unread email.
I don't and will never use outlook. I use push gmail through Seven (www.seven.com). Gmail is my primary email account.
How do I change or alter the xml file so that everytime I click the email button (whether there is or isn't any email), so that it will always go straight to my gmail inbox?
This is a perfect theme, except for this little glitch. I tried all the help from the forum archive but it doesn't seem to work.
link isnt working.
Sorry this is the correct link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1885455&postcount=78
It has the cab file inside as well. Please help!
Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone of you know if it is possible to set up my e-mail account on my TD2 to automatically do a background search for new e-mails when i'm online (browsing, using the youtube app etc) instead of having to go to the menu and select send/receive?
Maybe this question has been posted before and in that case I apologize, I did a search but couldn't find anything relevant.
Thanks in advance

In e-mail, go to menu\tools\options\ select your acount and go through the settings until you see where to set Delivery options to "as arrives"
Thanks for the answer, but I can't find this setting. I am using windows live mail, and when I go to the settings page and select this account it opens "Windows live settings" whrere I can select today screen options, roaming options etc but I can't find the "as arrives" option. Could it be because it is a windows live account?
Yes, that is the reason. Since WL is a POP3 account, it can't push emails out to you. You can only pull emails from it.
I've successfully got gmail actively synced onto my phone now which is great news. The next step is, figuring out if there's a "search" function for my inbox, much like there is on the gmail website itself. You know, where you can search any term in the engine and it'll pull up all relevant emails. Does such a thing exist on the HD2, if I've got gmail being pushed to it? Also, I've noticed that I'm able to "set flags" on certain emails, which I was hoping to be equivalent to "starring" emails in gmail, but it seems that if I set a flag on my phone, it won't show up as a star on my gmail account. Is there any way to actually achieve this? Thanks for the help guys!
Hi, although you haven't said what ROM you use, On the stock european ROM thee is a Search Phone utility. you can search your email by selecting Messaging (or potentially Outlook Mobile depending on how you have set up your email) as the type and putting the information you are looking for in the "Search for" section. The search string you look for is saved for future searches.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for getting back to me. I'm using the stock rom on my TMOUS device. I have it set up so that I may view my gmails through outlook mobile through activesync. I can't seem to find this "messaging" feature you're talking about though?
Does anybody have any ideas on the "starring" of gmails that I mentioned in my first post?
Hi just wondering if anyone can suggest to me any good calendar application?? Well here in Australia, most people get paid in every fortnight (every 2 weeks), and sometime even rosters are scheduled that way. I need something that can remind you every two weeks. I think the default calendar doesnt have that?? I think it has every third week?? every month?? Also is there anything that will sync with non google?? maybe like outlook??

im using ''pure calendar'' very happy with it
http://de.androlib.com/android.application.org-koxx-pure_calendar-qmwt.aspx
My vote is for Executive Assistant, it has a tabbed windows with calendar alongside missed calls, mails, SMS's and RSS's.
Can all the above do a reminding in "every 2 weeks"?? (eg. Every second Thursday??)
i prefer to use jorte
http://www.appbrain.com/app/jp.co.johospace.jorte
and yes, you can add reminders but max of 1 week
Suggest you have a look at Gemini Calendar - http://gemini-mobile.com/
I believe it has the feature(s) you're seeking.
Google calendar from your browser
How about setting up your repetitive dates from the computer? Google calendar will allow you to set up repetitions as you need them and the customisation of the events is better still than any app that I have seen. I use Pure Grid Calendar and that is still basing itself off of the phones default calendar. I have hockey training on a weekly basis but need to change the times on occasions and I find it eas.ier to do it from the computer as I will still need to check times online

Totally agree... the goggle calender on the PC is still the most versatile and you can set appointments or reminders to be weekly, fortnightly, 3 weekly or whatever you like.
+1 for Google Calendar.
It took me a while to work out how to do it, but basically you would set up a new event on the day you get paid, then choose "Repeats: Daily", then "Repeat every: 14 days". Simples!
The app I like to view/amend my Google calendar is Calendar Pad Pro. Awesome looking widgets for day, week or month which allow you to see what your appointments are. Can also set the start of the week as a Sunday (which is important for me). Even the free Calendar Pad had all the functionality I needed, but I upgraded to Pro because I wanted to support the dev.

or click week, and "Repeats every 2 weeks"
Is there a reg edit that ads a fortnightly repeat choice to the pull down menu in the HTC Calender? I had the option on the standard Diamond calendar but not on the HD2.
Work around - Fortnightly remiders/appointments
I've found the following Registry entries, but not sure if I'm on the right track, and don't know what to change it to anyway, but thought it might help someone with better knowledge than me ...
HKCU\Software\HTC\Manilla
AppointmentsEvent (13887035)
Calendar_Reminder (10)
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Calendar\Settings\Shortcuts\Default
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CHome\Cappointments
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Extensions\ContextMenus\Calendar
I have also found a work-around as I'm not using outlook on my PC so can't do it that way ...
in the TASK MANAGER you can set fortnightly tasks!

If you scroll to the bottom of the calendar entry on the phone you will see a drop down box for event repetition.

I am trying to create todo items any way from watch. the two ways I do it on phone
1. gtasks widget for new tasks (this is for shopping lists, packing lists, etc..)
2. note to self creates gtasks from phone.
2. email to self to email to create a leankit.com work list card. (this is new items I need to work on and I prioritize in different leankit lanes)
Neither work from zenwatch 2.
a. task defaults to quick memo+ no way to change it.
b. every email app I have tried leaves subject blank, so leankit email address drops it. IF subject was really long it would truncate and put the full subject in detail and trucated in title. Thats how email to self works.
Please any help I am going crazy. Should be SIMPLE...
What about Keep? Add a note and set a reminder. It is just a thought.

OK o solved own problems. 1. Used debloater tool and found lgmemo app. Disabled now gtasks note to self works. 2. OK google send email subject "subject" then prompts for body.
Boom. Other tasks apps are bloatly and can not view a long list of tasks on phone or PC easy.
Now just need a way to create new appointment from phone. Only reminder works. I will figure it out then let the forum know.
