Is there a way to make the screens and dock static. So if I have 3 screens and 3 scrollable docks I always want screen 1 and dock 1 to be together and when I switch to screen 2 I want it to also go to dock 2 and same thing with the third screen. Anyone try this or know how it could be done?

You could just use a different launcher? I've moved to ADW Launcher and I'm loving it so far. Lots of options/tweaks.
Drop blur & just use an alternative home launcher such as adw or launcher pro.

I use launcher pro (plus) the beta version is free, basically i turn off homescreen rotation (like it is in moto, which i agree with i'm only gonna hold the homescreen one way)
and i enable 5 rows in the homescreen Gives so much more room to have widgets. as well as icons, it looks kinda messed up if you go landscape homescreen.
It just makes sense to me and wish more wide phones (which is about all the new phones now) should come like that
hey so i purchased one on ebay with the att 3g bands. loving the phone, i was just back an forth between an iphone 4 and samsung galaxy s and the big screen is pretty cool. if not practically just when people look at me with my monster truck phone. but there are a couple of things i'd like to add to it to make it a bit more like the other android phones i've used. im now using adw launcher and doing my best to use this thing in portrait but sometimes have trouble reaching across the screen. tried using the fancy widet for weather and clock but it doesnt seem to adjust to the screen properly
Which keyboard are you guys using?
which clock widget do you guys use?
are there any other cool widgets you guys are using right now?
I am using fancy widget for the clock and slide it keyboard,I was using swipe but it does not have direction arrows and slide it does

what i did with adw was change adw settings change screen preferences to desktop rows to 6 and desktop to 8 columns then i use beautiful widgets home then in portrait mode i messed about with the size option that adw does when adding a widget until i get it looking right then just download skins from beautiful widget menu and its
the size i want with a sense look as for keyboard i use beta swype and the one i have fills screen out in portrait and landscape
Holy cow I feel like such a noob BUT my.home screen (the one you snap to when you hit the home button) is the center screen when I had 7 screens. So it's screen #4 for those keeping track. BUT! I got rid of 2 screens (7 was just too much) so now I have a total of 5. HOWEVER the home screen is still screen #4! I tried adding and deleting additional screens but it stays at #4. Now, I did this before when I had 5 screens and it was #3. I obviously forgot what I did before to change it... bleh....
are you using the stock launcher?
I know for sure that Launcher Pro, ADW and Zeam let you choose which screen you want to be your home screen. I don't think the stock launcher can be customized like that.
Yeah I know. It's cake on adw and launcher pro. But noooooo, not on Touchpiss...
I've heard ppl complain about the fact the home screen is always #4 (don't know if there's a way to change it). But what I don't understand is, why not just use #4 for whatever you want your "main" home screen to be? E.g., if you use 5 screens, keep 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 (so 4 is the one in the middle)... if you have 3 screens (like me), use 3, 4, 5... etc. (That's assuming you want your main home screen in the middle -- but if not, just adjust accordingly.)
[EDIT: I guess I can see how if you want your main screen to be the one on the far left or far right -- not the middle -- and you're using more than 4 screens, it would be an issue.]
This issue has been talked about. I too was looking for a resolve on this. Unfortunately there is no solution other than launcher pro or adw. Sucks I knoe. I wanted to get rid of 2 extra but like you said. It goes to 4 no matter. Hope this gets fixed with 2.2

You can't change it in the current TouchWiz launcher. Maybe they'll change that in one of the upcoming versions (I hope so).

there is an app that allows you to change the default screen in the stock launcher
search on the market for SGS Screen Changer.
I've been using Apex Launcher for 3-5 days now on my phone and Nexus 10, and had a question or two about the App Drawer, if anybody has an answer. For one, I was wondering if it was possible to create a shortcut or widget to a specific drawer tab?
Second, I was wondering if it was possible to make it scroll Vertically (continuous) within a tab, then a horizontal swipe switched to the next drawer tab? I have found no ways so far to do either one.

The lack of continuous vertical scroll is the one reason why I won't use Apex on my Tablet. I just switched to Nova.

Click to collapse
It has continuous vertical scroll. I just want to Move from drawer tab to drawer tab via horizontal swipes

Hello,
Been using Nova Launcher Prime for quite a few months now. I really enjoy how light and slick the launcher is, however I generally add icons and little more than that. I don't really play around with the grid settings, margins, however I have seen so many great home screens for the Nexus 4 I'm beginning to get a little jealous as many are using Nova and not some bloaty launcher like Buzz.
I have found when using an icon pack, the dock icons are never the same size as the icons above on the main home screen. If I check "small icons" in dock settings they are smaller as I would expect, however if I uncheck this then the dock icons are bigger than the homes creen icons.
It gives any layout I'm trying to achieve an odd look. I wanted to give my screen an MIUI/Iphone home screen look where the icons in both dock and above are the same size. The only way I think I can do this is remove the dock, but then I won't be able to add dock backgrounds should I wish.
Anyone understand where I'm coming from here?
Also, if someone can point me somewhere to get the best out of Nova, put together some cool home screens etc, Thank you.
Have you tried resizing icons under nova settings>look and feel>icon size? Haven't really paid attention to the icon differences as I don't use a dock now.

I've noticed that some icon packs don't play nice with nova. Meaning that the icons get stretched out and look like they're cut off. Now if I manually add the icons, they're fine. It's not all icon packs though. Have you tried other icons?

I think there is also an option for the hight of the menubar itself (normal and higher). maybe this will help.
