The audio out on the dock was working fine with the earlier froyo builds but no longer on dk28. Anyone know why
im on dk 17 and its not ever worked for me. i was told it was because the 2.2 wasnt official, so the desk home hadnt had an update and when it got updated it would finally allow for audio out.
like i said, ive run every leak thus far and havent had audio out working yet.
Strange cuz I did have it working on one of the leaks
I noticed it when plyingmusic then plugging it into the dock the sound disappeared. When I plugged speaker into the dock it was playing.

The reason I am asking is I have just horrible results listening to music through the headset!
I have tried a couple different headsets with the same results, they all skip and pause like at least 5 times a minute!
As a experiment this morning I took my wifes original instinct to the gym with me and used that for an hour and it was flawless.
So anyway I was just kinda hoping it might work!
Thanks
Roman
No it doesn't...
I noticed this too. What rom are you using
I have used a2dp bluetooth with my car stereo on Darch's rom, Flip's and Damage's. They all have had the same BT hiccuping issues. Mine is more like once every five minutes, but occasionally it freaks out.
Really I am just waiting for the official 2.1 release to come out and then I will go to an AOSP build (come on Darch!). I expect this issue will be sorted out then.
I am using Damage, but it's been off with all the roms I have used! Although it does seem worse with damage! I am thinking about trading with the wife, the bluetooth at the gym is way more important to me!
It really seems to me not a lot is known about A2DP other than it seems kinda unreliable to many, but works great for some!
I really don't know what the hell is wrong, but i am tired of researching it and trying to find a fix!

Because in the official 1.5 build a2dp worked without this issue... and an official CDMA 2.1 build has not been released yet.

Ah I see, I had never tried bluetooth on 1.5 yet, so maybe I will do my nandroid and see how it works!

Post your results. I was using the stock 1.5 build, but rooted. Now I am running Damage's 2.1 build with Flips new radio.

Well I did my nandroided back to 1.5 about an hour ago, and since then I have been running around cleaning house!
In the same room with my phone absolutely no skips, when I walk out of the room a few skips and the farther away I get the more skips I get, but not important to me as the phone will be on me when I am listening to music anyway!
Using the phone while listening to music only presented a few skips as well!
Using any Rom while doing the above would have left the music skipping at least 5 times a minute!
So all in all I guess I got it solved, although I am stuck on 1.5 as it seems, but i am stuck with the question of why does it not work so well on any Roms that I have used!
Thanks to you danknee you have made me a happy man(well as happy as a man can be cleaning house) as I have spent countless hours searching for an answer to this!
Edit:
Forgot to add that I am still rooted, but all stock!
Good to hear. Your results sound about the same as mine. I use my phone in a stationary car bracket (ProClip) that is positioned about 1.5 feet away from the A2DP BT radio (Sony with built in receiver).
With this setup my 1.5 was outstanding, but all the 2.1 builds have been very sporadic. I thought it was data connection issues with the 2.1 builds, but tried locally stored music and video with the same issues (narrowing the issue down to BT).
Just wanted to give another update:
Went to the gym today and did 20 mins on the treadmill and 30 mins on the bike and about 15 mins playing B-ball! I had one skip that was like 1 100th of a second skip, could of even been the song!
Now my question: Why do most of the Roms not work very well with A2DP?
Thanks again danknee!

from other things i have read, android has some weird issue with the way it handles bluetooth, which has clearly been resolved with 1.5 given the results that i can attest to, but possibly not as high a priority for 2.x since they haven't even really gotten it out yet and probably have more basic issues to take care of first?
just a thought...

So I love this phone. I received it yesterday, and I can get a very accurate GPS lock in about three seconds, without the 'fix'. I havent noticed a single problem with the phone. The only thing I have a question about is this 5.1 Channel Surround Sound. It says you can only use it in headphone mode-but when I put in the headphones that came with the Vibrant the only thing I notice is it makes the movie/music higher pitched. Is that all it does or am I missing something?
It's an SRS sound processing effect, best for movies since you can't adjust the "TruBass", "Dialog Clarity", "Center/Surround" or "Focus"..
IMHO some of us would be loving a true SRS iWOW DSP, and not this crap Samsung gave us. It's best left off for music and it probably isn't that great for movies
Boy, ain't that the truth!
If there is some developer out there PLEASE port SRS WoW to
the android platform...!
Or at least give us some way to set the sound options on the
video player. I really like this phone but, even with headphone on
it's sometimes very hard to hear movies while they are playing.

Mine was the same way until I rooted it.
After I rooted it I went from 18 hour battery life to 6-8 and the freezing problem got really really bad, the more apps I put on the phone the worse it got, it got to the point were I got a black screen for 3-5 minutes every other app I opened.
My GPS also worked perfectly but I try the 1st "fix" and I had nothing but problem ever sense I did it.
I returned mine for a new one and everything worked great except the GPS and I applied the 2nd fix and all works great now.
Moral of the story is
If it's not broke don't fix it
I'm not going to root my phone until things are ironed out.

I loved reading what uninformed users think. The Update.zip only installs Superuser.apk, SU, and Busybox. All three only run when called upon by another application, and then exit. You battery issues are unrelated, more than likely caused by leaving your brightness up too high, or wifi or bluetooth on. The lag is a known issue by Samsung. It is caused by the way app data is stored, and can be remedied by moving the datadb to another partition and sym-linking. Blaming these problems on rooting is like blaming a flat tire on the oil change you got last week, it's just ignorant and uninformed.
Also, all of this is unrelated to the original post, so please, stop trying to thread jack and take your misinformed opinion elsewhere.

Well, I don't know how rooting cause all that, 'cause all rooting the vibrant consists of is copying Superuser.apk, su and busybox over.
Zing!
That was a bit harsh.
I havent seen this anywhere on here so I thought I would post it.

On the note of Root GB... How are you liking it? I really hated the original Blur so I am apprehensive to go back to it....
I"m running Liberty now.

The new blur is far far far superior to the old blur. Much smoother and snappier. GB in itself is very smooth, even without overclocking. Its worth a try.
Agreed. Sorry to come off that way. Between folks semi bricking their phones and posting a thread about it. I kinda was like o_0 . I used to not like blur. But now stock GB at 1.25 GHz is great.

Put my phone on GB this morning. Cant comment on its battery life. I came from fission 2.6.1 and this seems alot smoother. I also got a 300point boost on quandrant. I have not OCed it yet but I am sure I will soon.
Exchange setup is different that before which threw me for a little loop but got it figured out.
Hope Pandora works ok this. on 2.6.1 after I unplugged my headphones pandora would pause and if I waited several hours before pluggin headphones back in and playin pandora again it would play the cached song then would close. Wouldn't give me a FC but just close out and then I couldn't get it to work again unless I rebooted phone..

i never had this issue on any of the fission ROMS, it may have been the version of Pandora you were running. the only recent issues i've experienced with Pandora is how it will sometimes kick out of the "station" and go back to the selection list. if you're walking along, you don't know if it's buffering or quit or what!!
new blur is big improvement. still hate the app force-feed of backup assitant and city ID, but nothing a little rooting can't take care of.
Ya that is what my pandora is doin. but it wont let me select a channel then. well it does but it kicks back out to station selection.
On GB haven't had that issue yet. I have had it close. so I am sure its Pandora's problem.
Has anyone got Corperate Sync to work on this GB. I can not get it to work I get failed to logon message everytime.
OC'd GB and got 2235 on Quandrant FYI 400 higher than I seen with fission i was getting 1800's at 1350.
But I run underclocked/undervolted just needed to try it out
when pandora acts like that (can't choose a channel), i usually quit it and open it again, seems to fix it, for a little while at least. not sure if it's a network issue.
pandora hasn't FC'd on me yet (knocking) and the headphone/phone call "coordination" seems to work better (unplugging headset pauses music, etc.). something weird that seems to happen is after i plug in a headset, pandora pauses, but only eventually. i don't think it's instant, usually it's like 30s or something.
Bluetooth and regular media volume are know linked together vs before headphone jack and bluetooth were seperate. Use headphone jack for car and bluetooth for my S9's. Kinda a bummer since I blar my music on S9's because i use them at the gym and then when I go to plug it into my car my car speakers about blow up LOL..
Has anyone seen the keyboard and botton 4 buttons not light up. Its a hit or mis if they light up on me. I noticed it last night when I was tryin to type in the dark. the lights are lighting up today but early this morning they did the same thing.
Looking for the best guide to root Droid 2. Any links please thanks.

Hi,
I have searched for bluetooth and did not come up with anything useful. I am using a Jawbone ERA which used to work pretty well. But, recently the people I call have been complaining so much about the voice quality that I have to switch to the handset and turn the bluetooth off. They say that the voice keeps getting choppy, dropping off all together. I was wondering if anyone else is having similar issues with Jawbone in particular or any other bluetooth headset that they are using. I think the problem is probably with the handset's bluetooth stack updated with the GB. This has been such a bugged release that Sprint/HTC shouldn't have even bothered subjecting the users to this load of crap. Anyway, would appreciate if any one can help with this issue. Thanks.
Jawbone does the same thing from time to time but I'm running MIUI so I don't think the update has much to do with it

My jawbone icon works fine other than it losing connectivity more than I like.
So not much I can do I guess. I've emailed both HTC and Jawbone let's see what I hear back from them.

I use the jawbone icon on Mikg, among others. I have not had any problems with it. I did use stock rom for a few days when the gingerbread release came out. I don't recall any issues then either.
What have you done to troubleshoot? Have you unpaired and then paired the bluetooth device again? Have you done a factory restore to see if that fixes it?
I haven't done much yet. I will try the repairing. I am also trying it out with the noise assassin turned off, but haven't had a chance yet to test that much. In a brief conversation, the drop off went away after turning off the noise assassin. But, I'll need more testing to confirm that noise assassin is the culprit. A2DP is turned off too. I might try turning that back on as well. Now, that I think about it the problem probably starting occurring after I turned off the A2DP but I can't recall exactly. Thanks for the suggestions.
A2DP seems to have been the culprit. After turning that back on the voice quality seems to have gotten better.
Sent from my A500 using XDA Premium App
I have the ERA also and the EVO4g, and no problems here. I'm on Synergy.
Yeah so far turning the A2DP and noise assassin back on has solved the problem. You could try it on your end by turning them off one by one and
see if that reproduces the problem.

OK so this is bizarre. If anyone else has noticed this I'd love to hear an explanation.
Basically, five days after receiving my N7 tablet it developed speaker distortion at any level above 60%. Sounded a lot like a blown driver. It was a crackling on bottom end. Its unlocked, rooted running 4.1.2 stock and Faux b6 kernel. I was getting set to flash back to OEM and return it to CW for replacement today when I noticed the problem was gone. Vanished. I mean totally absent.
My question is, WTF?
I know these things are smart but I didn't realise they fix themselves. Anyone else experienced this or have any explanation?
