I'm not very sure about this, but the Android Developers Blog released some info on a new version of the Market today, located here: http://android-developers.blogspot.com/2010/12/android-market-client-update.html
I was just wondering... anyone happen to have seen it floating around?
Some on Droid-Life has it... anyone wanna share?

Frequently Asked Questions
[Last updated on 03/01/12]
Q: I downloaded the latest CM9 build, but [XXX] isn't working!
A: Search! Search the CM9 threads, search Google, but for the love of God - please first search for the answer! If you did, and could not find it, you have three options:
1) Read this, it might very well answer your question.
2) Check out the live support chat But search first.
3) Go here and ask your question. But search first. Did I mention you should search first? You should search first.
In any case, if your question or query is not directly related to development, please do NOT post in the development section!
Q: I can't connect my phone to my PC! What can I do?
A: This is a known issue. There are several ways you go around this - either by downloading to your PC a program called Droid Explorer, or by downloading any of the wi-fi file transfer apps on the market.
Q: When I start up the Superuser app, it crashes! What do I do?
A: Users are reporting success by searching for Superuser updater on the Market, installing it, and forcing an upgrade.
Q: I can't buy apps from my phone! What can I do?
A: This is a known bug. The only way to buy apps right now is through your home computer. Refunding is reported working on the phone, though.
Q: When I download a big app from the market, I get an error message! What can I do?
A: This is a known bug. Nothing can currently be done about it, unless you already downloaded the app and have it backed up. In that case, there is an advanced work around that you can find by searching the CM9 threads.
Q: I heard Codeworkx got a Galaxy Nexus, is he going to stop supporting the Galaxy SII?
A: Nope, not currently. Actually, it means he can use his Nexus for day to day use, and only focus on development on his GSII. This is in our favor.
Q: I found and downloaded an ICS ROM by Airbus360, I heard its better than CM9, is that true?
A: Apparently, Airbus360 simply took what the CM team has been building, added a few useless lines of code (read: they don't do anything), and claimed that its faster. He also pretty much claims to be doing most of the hard work when in fact, he isn't adding much of anything.
If you have anymore frequently asked questions to add, please PM me and I'll add them as quickly as possible.

Hey guys, really new here. Its been great reading all of your threads and choosing a ROM to install on my Acer A500. I have what is possibly a really dumb question so I appologize but will Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (is it even out for installation?) run on the Acer Iconia A500? Isn't there a dev version out now? Thanks in advance!
P.S. does anyone know if I can get the Linux version of Gratuitous Space Battles to run on the Acer A500?
Please use the search tool next time, this has been discussed many times and your post is just spamming XDA.
Now, answering your question, rumor says Acer will be releaseing ICS on February (they have even confirmed so in their Mexican Tweeter account), who knows if they are serious this time. There are also a few A500 custom ROMs based on ICS, so hardware-wise, the A500 is more than capable of handling it.
Thanks. Moderators please feel free to delete this thread.
there are two threads that are on going about linux on the iconia.. One is in the dev section. the other i think is in the Apps and mods .
Ics does have a few roms out now..but none of them are complete.Neither of the two are on xda forums as stated above a quick google search will bring more results then asking in the forums...
There is no absolute to when and if .. we will get ics from acer..When it does I would suggest to not take the OTA . As its likely to not be able to be rooted from the start. IF when it does come the Developers will be all over it.. And we will see rom s that are rootable to be releases.
good luck
Is there a tutorial around anywhere to show you how to create a custom rom for the nexus s 4g? Is there a website or a section on this website with all the mods you can add to the nexus s 4g? Is there a way to make a mega rom with every mod and every customization possible?
To be honest...I have not seen a Guide to create new ROMs, but I have seen some for theming:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=916814
http://www.xda-developers.com/android/guide-on-how-to-make-basic-theming-changes-to-roms/
It can get you started
I do believe Codename Android's website may be able to help you.. not too sure, but check it out, developers tutorials at the top..
http://codenameandroid.com/
I found this one also. It can get you started (this was for Xperia X10 but compiling and getting ready is the same for all):

I read recent posts about installing google now on any android device, I have a galaxy centura running ARC 1.3 from Androidarea51 and im trying to find working links so I can download and install. Thanks in advance to anyone that can point me in the right direction.
Hi there,
I've recently updated my tablet to a custom ROM for the first time and this is my first post here, so please correct me right away if there is a better place for asking such kind of questions.
My question is specifically about omni-4.4.4 (FINAL). For now I'm not interested in the 5.1.1 branch (NIGHTLY) at all, as I'm looking for stability.
So the question: is there any kind of update policy for the OMNI-4.4.4 branch? In the light of the recently published security flaws in Android, I'd like to know more about my options. I don't mind to try to build the rom myself, provided that the source code in the branch is updated regularly.
Stagefright-Bug-Fix for Galaxy Nexus Kitkat 4.4.4 (post #2) answers the question about the forthcoming update.
Good to know that "FINAL" doesn't mean that support for the branch is over.
Entropy512, do you make any kind of announcement after the source code has been updated? I'm just wandering what is the best way to follow the process.

We'll make some sort of announcement when it happens.
I have the day off Friday and will hopefully be far enough ahead in the apartment-cleaning process to work on this.
