Ummm, I just realised that you can't flash roms to the Nexus S via Recovery, since there's no SDcard slot, that means NO ROMS!!! :-( :-(

Hmm... Can't you just put it on internal storage?
Yes you can, just put the ROM file on the 16gb internal memory

You can either use fastboot to flash new system images, or, as folks have already pointed out, drop an update.zip on the internal 14GB /sdcard partition (using USB Mass Storage, if you like).

Flashing Samsung Android phone doesn't require memory card.
FACEPALM.
On the Vibrant, you MUST put the ROMs on the internal storage in order to flash it. It's literally an 'internal sd card'. It IS an sd card. aka /sdcard/
The Vibrant's external SD card is /sdcard/sd/ or /sdcard/external_sd/
Therefore it's the same process on Nexus S. Copy the ROMs over via USB onto the storage. Which is, /sdcard/.

nop... formatted it from computer=no good, on the fone=no good, using a different software=no good....
Exchange the card it may be bad, I've held off buying a 32gb card because half of the reviews on Newegg for 32gb cards are negative and report failures or DOAs. Seems like the techs a little immature. Sandisk is the most reliable brand though.

Where did you get your SD card from cuz it sounds like it may be starting to go bad. I'd try formating again with a stock ROM...bit of a pain i know, but might produce a better result also you may wanna try to just reformat a few times in a row with your current ROM to see if it corrects the problem.
best option is if it keeps up is to pull your SD card out of your device and format with a computer when u have access to one then format using your device.
Is it a bad idea to format your SD card while you're rooted? Will it delete the main rom on the SD card? I have 7gigs left of free space but I want to have around 13gigs free.
Any ideas? Please and thank ya

No, makes no difference. All you are formatting is the space set aside for user content. This will include.downloaded files, cwm backups and app data stored on the SD card.

Is there anyway to move apps to SD? I know they took out the feature in ICS, but maybe via an app or something? 8GB is pretty small when you take away a gig for a rom slot...

better yet, has anyone figured out if you can flip flop the internal and external sd locations so the phone thinks your external sd card is the primary? I know this was possible on the X2 and the RAZR's.
I have the memory switch .zip file, but no way to install it on my rooted Droid RAZR M
I was curious how difficult would out be to just rename the internal storage from sd card to internal storage? If that is possible then we could just rename external to sd card then we should be able to move apps to the card easily.

Tried an app from the market and it seems working: GL to SD. need root access
Sent from my XT907 using xda app-developers app
nah. tried renaming them last week or so and it not only didnt work, the damn things renamed themselves upon reboot. im pretty pissedf about the memory on this phone cuz the phone itself is pretty snappy.
Dang I guess Motorola has this phone on lock down. I used my EVO 4g to copy songs over to my SD card and once I inserted it back in and tried to mount it, it kept saying blank, so I rebooted my phone and it showed up. If I wasn't as smart as I am I would have probably formatted the damn thing lmao I was wondering if they did that as a minor precaution to people trying to hack the phone with something on the SD card, but then again I'm sure if they did a reboot wouldn't have made it show up then.

So were you able to move anything other than game data to your ext sd? It let me move dropbox, but nothing else showed up on its list of transferable files.
Hello. I have a hudge problem with my phone. Somehow it automatically unmounts and remounts my sd card for no reason no matter what rom I use. Sometimes it unmounts my sd card and don't mount for a month. Sometimes it gives damaged sd card error and asks to format it but when I insert my card to tablet and it detects no errors. What could be the problem? Can anyone help me fix this?
Repartition your SD card in recovery
But save your data first

You must clearing ext partition in recovery and format sdcard. + set min cpu fraquancy on 245Mhz.
didn't help
If it does happen with all roms you've tested, including stock 2.1 then your SD card is propably faulty. You formatted it under Windows?

I can't try stock rom because it says that my recovery is to new. SD card can't be faulty because it is new. I had other sd card earlier but my phone didn't recognized it so I bought new. And i have formatted under Windows.

Which ROM are you using?
Now using cm9

Then you have to check different roms and kernels to see under which your SD card works properly. I suggest trying newest AOSP / SDSL or CM 7.2 by Tejas build three.
Maybe is the slot of your SD Card, Why?:
Using every ROM, same device and same problem = device
Used other device and everything ok = the "other" device
So, definitely your slot on your device is bad. Good Luck!

Just delete all partitions and make new (FAT32) with some Live CD if U don't have Linux on PC (for best get gParted Live).
Next put it in Your phone and partition again with CWM 6.0, or just use fat32.
Some customized roms mess up sd card if it has /swap.
Noticed this in some 2.3 custom rom, but don't remember name of it.
