What's the best RDP app you guys are using with the Tab to connect to your Windows PC ?
Oh btw it seems most of the RDP apps are not free... Not willing to be a pain, but even if you ahve to pay for WM 6.5 it has a free excellent RDP client...
Im using VNC and it work very well over 3G and WiFi. Im using Dyndns.com to connect over 3G.
You can get it from the mrket

Tried the wyse lite version, seems ok, the virtual mouse is useful.
It does not support 1024x600 in the free version, anyone know if the paid version does?

I just took the plunge yesterday and got the paid version - it doesn't explicitly support 1024x600 res, but it does have an "automatic" selection which essentially sets the resolution to 1024x600. It's a great app...$15 is a bit steep for an app, but its extremely well put together and Wyse is a very reputable company.
By and far the best RDP tool on Android at this time.
Wyse PocketCloud is my favorite.

I read good things about both. What makes you prefer Xtralogic ?
PocketCloud is my favourite.Theres a free Version, which only supports one Connection (PC).
I have been using logmein for a while now and it always felt like it wasnt designed for my tab. I tried PocketCloud and fell in love. Free version works well enough.

Is there any app available that will allow me to control my Desire from my PC (via b/tooth or usb cable connection)? I've seen VNC suggested, but can only find VNC Clients for Android that go in the opposite direction (control PC from Desire). VNC Server for Android?
I know this is not exactly what you are asking for, but maybe this app will be of interest http://www.appbrain.com/app/net.xdevelop.rm

i've been looking for something similar that doesn't involve installing the android jdk. if you don't mind this might be of use to you :
http://code.google.com/p/androidscreencast/
Search the market for droid vnc server. I know this thread is a year old but that app is handy for anyone that found this thread using google like I did.
Cheers,

The name of the app or a link would have been useful.
When both devices are connected to the same network, you can use iDisplay. It supports landscape and portrait mode and can be configured like a second display under windows.

I use a mix of software on PC & Tab for extended desktop to work:
PC:
ZoneScreen: http://www.zoneos.com/zonescreen.htm
RealVNC: http://www.realvnc.com/
TAB
Android VNC Viewer
just install ZoneScreen, configure RealVNC to use the second monitor in server mode (command line option) and connect the tab as viewer with VNC.
cheers

When apps start to cost what their value truly is, perhaps I will pay for them then.
For iDisplay, it's worth about 30 cents US.

I think I could actually go without my laptop now. Life is good. Thank you CM9 team, thank you Google.:good:

What sort of printer do you have? I want to see Cloud Print hacked onto DD-WRT, which would enable a lot of people to easily print from any Android device, with almost any printer. My AP is my print server.

I am using Printer share from the market, It was free a couple months ago from the Amazon app store. But what makes it complete is the Google printing part.
I'm using several printers at work that are on the network. At home I am using my Epson Wi-Fi printer. Still it is amazing.
On another note, I don't think my phone has ever looked better either.

that big gaudy sense clock ruins it! jk.
To add to the completeness.. there was also just released a Scan to Phone app, that is supposed to allow you to scan directly from your scanner to your phone
A trial version is available, that allows 10 scans to verify if your scanner works
Accusoft USB Scanner - Trial
i have a program called Camscanner that works quite well for that. Pretty much an office in my hand.

Got Print Share and Camscanner...to really be complete you need Officesuite Pro! I've tried Quickoffice and Documents to Go and OfficeSuite really is the best IMO.
Yeah, I should of added I have that too. When I am setting in a meeting and can go back through emails while I am sitting there, and print it out, it is pretty awesome.

You asked for the best, not the cheapest.
It syncs perfectly with multiple dropbox accounts or google drive (docs). It is Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Adobe Acrobat all in one. You can do a conversion of PPT decks into PDF documents quickly and easily.
I use it all the time for work as I keep all my critical work documents in a dropbox folder so when I am traveling to the client I can quickly and easily access my decks, edit them, and save them back to dropbox all in one app.
It has paid itself off for me 5 times over.

I always wanted to know that. Is there any way to mirror my desktop's screen to my S4 and then control it? I tried Unified remote, you can just control some stuffs there, but I want something which could mirror my PC's screen, is that possible?
VNC or RDP
Server in one side and the other side is client
You can do it both ways
And you can do it from one mobile to control another mobile too or any other platform
It's possible to do it far remotley by port forwarding in router settings .....
I try it once and its was fun
I was thinking to do a tutorial about that one day

Use phone to PC or the popular splash top.
I recommend splash top as it has it uses your wifi as a intranet so there is very little delay even with a wireless G router

Hey guys sorry for BUMP after a long time.
I have been using Splashtop as per above suggestions and I am very happy with it.
But now I need an app which will do the opposite, I mean I need something which will show my S4's screen to my laptop / PC, and I will be able to control the phone from there, is there any such app?
I have tried AirDroid, don't like it. It shows very limited apps, can't reply to WhatsApp / Hangout messages! Then I tried Team Viewer, didn't do the job either.
TIA.
