Where abouts in Ventura? I wonder if it up and running in Thousands Oaks and Santa Barbara.

from the looks of things there may only be one or two towers in the Oxnard/ElRio/Ventura area.
Not much to write home about at this point.

In case anyone was wondering, I just tried 4G in the UCSB area and its not here yet :/

From what research I have done, sprint just has line cards in the towers and all towers in So Cal are owned and maintined by Clearwire. It appears that Clearwire has also cut back on the roll out of 4g. Oxnard tower maybe the only tower in Ventura county to get 4g for a period of time till clearwire and sprint can work out all the details.

new to ventura, put up a u600 with cradlepoint mbr1200 with cradlepoint router both read full signal 77dBm but i am experiences consistent 1.0-2.2 Mbps down .30-.80 up i have done a bit of research and have not been able to solve this issue

there isnt any in simi and its in ventura county

i live near barnes and nobles in ventura and no 4g yet.

thats right you are! keep being impressed. last year i did a very extensive testing of all 4 major networks. i did the tests just like this in three different markets. elizabethtown kentucky=rural indianapolis=metro louisville kentucky=mid way
and in the 30 days i tested the carriers sprint destroyed the other. i never lost 1 call with sprint, i lost 6 with att. 4 with tmo. and 1 with verizon. data speeds, sprint beat them all with verizon in second. and data while traveling (75 mph on I 65) i had data 100% with sprint, i hit a dead spot with verizon and att and tmo i didnt have it 30% of the time.
but anyways i ended up choosing sprint again. no one comes close to them IMHO.
thats my rant. i cant wait to get some developing on with the evo when i get it.
In your case it worked well, but I live in San Diego in a quite popular area and sprint service is mediocre at my house and my wife's workplace. In fact, at her workplace it is terrible. At&t was much better

All Epic 4G users should install 4G MapViewer

This app is just like Google Maps but instead of traffic shows you 4G on a very detailed scale. It's based off reports from other people running the app and helped me find a location 4 blocks away that had reported 4G. I walked over and got 2Mbps down on the SpeedTest.net app.
I live in NYC and 4G is not official here yet so this was a great surprise.
Look for "4G MapViewer" on the Market and grab it! You might find a location nearby and it will help everyone else!

i have gotten a 4g signal from west chester all the way to the walmart in ft.wright
Time Warner Cable seems to have more updated 4G maps than Clearwire does. It show all the areas in Cincinnati and Cleveland (which both haven't had official 4G launches) where there is 4G service. If you go to http[colon][slash][slash]timewarnercable[dot]cellmaps[dot]com[slash]viewer[dot]html you can see the map. (I'm a new user so I can't post links)
I was getting 4g in Hamilton and Fairfield when I went to Jungle Jim's Friday.

looks like cincy side of the river is covered well, but still creeping slowly over to the kentucky side,
that map is the most detailed I have seen so far.
Yea it seems like coverage has moved slowly I had real shaky reception at first but now its consistently strong.
I have noticed that the new YouTube app likes to fail to play videos when I'm on 4g.

i get a signal on 471 near the big mac bridge, I also get a low signal at work near mitchel ave. I dont get a signal at home yet though which is near the anderson/cheecmont area.
Over all it is still pretty spotty reguardless of what the maps say but it does seem to be getting better.

AT&T LTE getting closer to Sacramento!

It's been widely known that AT&T's LTE service didnt go further north than San Ramon or San Rafael for a while now, which is in the Bay Area. Well i'm in Davis, just 15-20min. outside of Sac and have LTE service! Hopefully this means Sac gets it soon cause its pretty damn fast!

HTC One Data Speeds

Just thought I would ask what kind of speeds others are getting on the DC-HSDPA data. I was amazed with regular download speeds of over 15Mbps but tested just today and got 26.2 Mbps down and 3.38Mbps up.
This is unbeleivable, who needs 4G.
This is on the 3 network by the way.

German VF LTE, look @ signal strenght
one'ed....
i think he meant the bbc news APP is back ...because it was incompatible with the htc one at the beginning (sorry wrong thread )
From my understanding DC-HSDPA (DC=dual channel) requires you to have good reception from TWO base stations. So you need to be in a city centre or densely covered area. If you are on the outskirts of anywhere, you are likely only to get one strong connection. So far the highest I saw was 14Meg on Three, but I haven't been into London with the One yet.
LTE will be better because you only need a good connection with one base station to get those kinds of numbers.
So while it is true that DC-HSDPA gets very close to LTE...LTE will be more consistent once its widespread.
Wow I need to get one of those phones I'm on 3 and in London my one X only gets like 3mbps
