How to enable JIT?

Hey guys. First off, I HAVE searched already, and found this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=637419
I've tried it, and all I get is a continuous bootloop no matter how many times I reboot.
So, basically I'm running IC3 ROM, which is based off the newest DC. I am only using Launcher (no Launcher 2 or Sense), so Sense won't give me problems. Has anyone found another way to enable JIT? I remember I found one once that worked back when I was using Fresh, but I can't find it for the life of me.

Make sure you disable HTC Sense, use helix or nexus launcher.

Also try to wipe dalvik after enabling it.

Alright I'll try that. I'm just using the plain Launcher that comes with Vanilla, so I shouldn't have problems from that.

Hmm still no go. Any idea what the problem could be? Could you try enabling JIT on IC3 ROM and see what happens when you do it?

Looking for A ROM with ADW Launcher

Hi all I am looking for a cool rom with the AWD launcher or a rom I can add it to. Can you guys help me out???

I haven't found a rom you can't add it to yet ...and i have been using it for quite sometime now......
only rom with it loaded by default that I know of is White Widow

Do you know of ant other app or program that does its features?

u can also port a rom
its really not that hard..and just about all the hero & g1 roms are loaded with adw right now.

what rom are you running now ?
just download ADW 0.7rc1 or rc2 and flash the zip file ....

Im running Sense Able 3.1. I tried doing that it said it installed but when I reboot it didn't change?

Andrizoid's White Widow is running ADW as default home.

Download "home switcher" from the market. This will let you set ADW as your default. Or you can clear the defaults under Settings->Manage Applications

well you need to change it once the phone starts ....download homeswitcher....
once it installs start the app and it will give you your options of homes installed on your phone...
adw shows up simply as "HOME"
it does flash over the vanilla home so hopefully you are to attached to vanilla home
and again: white widow is running adw ....

Can't install Android apps :(

Hey guys I have a HD2 and I was able to install the NexusHD2-Gingerbread ROM on there.
I've only been able to install TweetDeck and Stumbleupon.
Anything else I click the free button, then okay, then it says downloading and it never installs the app.
Any help?

It was the market that was down. At least that's what I can tell. Anyways, try again, it should work.

Thanks, I was able to install a couple then it wouldn't let me install some others, I assume it's down again?

HEY bro im using this rom for like 3 weeks now and its been working great, got that problem you got a few days ago installing one app to check the batt stats. downloading from applanet never had this prob.. so lets not be too quick to blame the rom when half the games and some apps we install dont work on gingerbread anyway..

[Q] GingerDX v013 screenshots feature help

Hi,
I think i've searched whole forums through and through and i haven't found my answer yet. If there's still a thread with answer to the question lurking somewhere, feel free to point me there.
The question is:
GingerDX 013 has a screenshot feature, accessible via power button hold menu (the one where you choose airplane mode, shutdown & restart), how do i use it (guide + where it saves the results)?
Since when i choose it, menu disappears and nothing else happens. I'd like to take some screenies but i don't want to install any 3rd party tool until i haven't found out whether the internal feature works (or not).

Hi. I use GingerDX V12 and screenshot option is working ok. When i press it he take shoot and saves it into folder pictures (galery)/screenshots. You probably have some problem with ROM. Try reistaling it, or use V12.

Well, thanks for the reply, but i don't find the feature worth reinstalling the complete rom. If i can't get it to work i'll just resort to thirdparty app.
Anyone with v013 who can help me mayhaps?

V013 Screenshot's working for me too. simple but why not try deleting the screenshot apk using root explorer and DL another copy of it and reinstall!
This may help !

To take a screenshot you have to shake your phone. Then using gallery you can see the screenshots.
This is what i remember, now I'm on Froyobread, so correct me if I'm wrong.

No. Thats for an app called drocap.
@OP
You just tap 'screenshot', wait a bit and then a popup comes up which tells you where yhe pic is placed.

Well, apparently the option's FUBARed, so screw it. Any suggestions for a good free screenshot app?
update: okay i have rebooted my phone for other reasons and now it's working, i swear i didn't change anything! lol. Thanks all for help.

GingerDX v13 ... Screenshot app is working good

Works fine on v0.13 for me too. It saves the screenshots on the sd in DCIM/screenshots. Hope this helps =)

[Q] I accidentally deleted my Touchwiz app. (Home screen app) What to do?

i reverted my phone from Creeds ROM back to stock ROM and installed merruks and restored all my apps using Titanium backup. I used my Link2SD apps and deleted some useless default phone apps. I saw an app called Creeds Home. i know that app is the home screen of Creeds and now that i'm in stock rom... i assumed that this Touchwiz home app thingy will be useless so i deleted it. when i pressed back button.... i can't see anything. its just black. but i can pull my notification bar. so i concluded that when i deleted that apk (creeds home) i actually deleted my home screen plugin or what. )) How would i fix this? T___T how can i put another home screen for this. i cannot open my app drawer so i cannot install an apk. I can only boot into download mode and CWM @[email protected] HELP! what should i do?!

Just try re-flashing your stock rom, restore from titanium, and be more careful deleting

Here is a more smarter way to recover:
When you click home button you get a force close and report option .. Click report and then scroll down for some privacy policy terms option and click it.. It opens browser and takes you to Google legal.. In browser type Google play..click play.google.com..it shows a pop up of Internet or play store app.. Click play store and click search and type go launcher or any other free launcher.. Install it and there you go you got a home launcher.. Now restore touch wiz back by pushing it to system/app

there are so many ways to do that..
you can also try to extract the stock launcher via a computer and push via adb

Thank you for that suggestion sir but since i don't have my home screen, i can't go to the menu or settings or browser or google play. i can't pick any button on the screeen ) i have thought of that method but i realized that i can't use any app since i can't see anything. I have solved my problem by reflashing my DXLC1 firmware by Doky Thank you so much for your concern

Read my reply carefully.. You don't need any home screen or launcher.. Anyways glad you got your problem solved

I just used my sd and did a backup off my friends stock s3 onto my sd the entered cwm on my phone and restored using said backup.....
