Advice - Looking to buy imported Desire HD from Ebay

Hi guys,
I am looking to buy a Desire HD from an ebay seller (based in HK I think, although it says Australia).
eg:

Are there any other Australian users that have done this? Do you think I will have any dramas using it on Australian 3G network? (Optus)

Personally i wouldn't buy a phone off ebay (even though that's where i got my psp) but it's up to you. Clove is cheaper and i've had good experience with them

Got mine sealed brand new from ebay £280 bargain of the decade.

DHL was around 30 pounds last time I bought from them, which was a DHD by the way. I would also recommend them as I've bought a Hero and Desire before from Clove and they are both got to Sydney in perfect condition.

$249 (with price match) BestBuy Dec 2010.
I would suggest they are worth a little less than the ebay price as there is a raft of new Android tablets available and there is Huawei's own Slim model as competition.
They are still a great buy, though.

If you are in Australia, some **** Smith stores were selling the Aussie version at a$99 a couple of weeks ago. Not sure if they still have stock. There are also other electronics stores selling at $149 to $199; some with a car charger and soft case thrown in.

Probably SIM-locked and carrier OS. And not sure if is the 105 sold here, I found only S104 here in Portugal.

USA Note Users, where did you buy your Note, and for how much?

I think it would be helpful to make a thread so we can all make the right buying decision. There are no wrong answers, of course, and I realize some may not want to give a dollar amount, but from most of the posts I have seen people have been pretty open about the $
I for one am hoping that the Note will come to a country with a more favorable exchange rate than those with the Euro or the Pound..

Just had a look on the argos website and they only stock the 16gb n7, same with another UK retailer, can't remember which though!

The 8 GB version is a Google Play exclusive. You can't buy it anywhere else. This applies to all countries, not just the UK.

If you can cough up an extra twenty quid you can get a 16gig from Tesco for 189 with a code (ask if you need it) with free next day delivery to a store for collection.

Bought mine straight from google. It arrived the next day.

I got mine from Tesco, ordered it tuesday, picked up from store on the weds.
Tesco are only selling them online, PC world had them instore but seem to be all sold out.... Carphone warehouse is selling them from friday so if you want one on friday, that is the place to go, if you cant get and want to order it, then tesco is the best place, They do free delivery where google charge (and yes you get a free £15 voucher no matter where you buy it from... somthing i didnt realise, i thought you had to order it from google to get the voucher so i was well chuffed..)

8gig from Play store = £169.98 (159.99 + 9.99)
16 gig from Tesco = £189.99 (199.99 - 10)
It's worth it I'd say. Saves you worrying about space!

[Q] Where to Buy 16gb Nexus 4 in UK?

OK guys I wan't to pick up a Nexus 4 here in the UK.
I have the Xperia Z Ultra on order but thats not the kind of device I want to take out with me on a night out on the Sauce
I know the N4 is available on google for £199 now which is a great price.
However is there anywhere I can get cashback or a voucher for a few quid extra off before I buy one?
I would look out for a second hand one in good condition on ebay for about £140-£150 but in some instances people are paying over the google play price for second hand.
Any help, or tips appreciated :good:

I know Always worth checking if there is a couple of pounds extra, or some cashback to be had though...
I really don't see the point for paying £160+ on ebay when it can be had new for a few pounds more though...
