just flashed Onyx R4.2, I notice that the Unlock screen sound is not playing (using samsung's glass sweep to unlock)
The screen lock sound IS playing, I did enable the unlock screen sound setting in the sound settings menu.
System volume is at about 50%, which is irrelevant to this problem because the screen lock sound is playing!
Anyone else having this issue, what could the problem be?
i flashed cognition v4.1.1 and i have the same problem ive been trying for the life of me to fix it but aint nothing working idk what to say
The question is: why are you installing a ROM that's like 3 months old? Download bionix v 1.3.1, you'll be happy with it.

Even using Bionix v 1.3x, you will still experience the sound unlock problem.
You can hear the unlock sound if you toggle on both 'Audible screen selection' and 'Screen lock sounds'. If audible selection is off, you wont hear the unlock sound.
Try it.

Hi all, i applied the fix for the audio booster bug, but after closing the player and opening again, audio booster is still turning off.
Did this just fix the between song bug then, i hate having to re-enable it every time, crap.
bump same issue with me, might just uninstall it
Thread moved..original response now not appropriate
Install Dutty's ROM and the bug is gone.

about audio booster in htc hd2
Dear Buddies
audio booster is a problem i think...if i set that to my preferred setting, it satys. Then phone is automatically locked and goes to sleep mode. Music runs on. I am so frustrated as the track changed in that time it gets turn off again. It something like I have to turn on the booster after going to it for each single track. It sounds ridiculous and frustrating to me as well as an smart set. Anyone can give a clue about it so it runs even the set is in sleep mode.
Thanx for ur concern
When I am playing music using HTC's sense music player, if I press the end call button to lock the phone, the music stops. This problem has only started happening last night, before it was working fine. The only new programme I have installed is SPB Travellers Demo. Any suggestions to fix this?
PS: if I manually lock the phone, it keeps playing.
It shouldnt happen if your using headphones, if your listening through the speaker then you just have to let the screen turn off on its own, just set it to time out after 30 secs........ its annoying i know.....
havent noticed a fix for this anywhere though.........
I havent really looked for one though to be honest, there probably is one.......
Thanks but I'm sure it used to work before ...

Now that you mention it I only noticed this recently and like you I dont remember it having happened before but because I rarely listen through the speaker I just thought I was imagining things and it had always done that...........
Now I'm really confused........
I know, does anyone know what might have caused this problem or any solutions?
sorry i dont know what causes this but it happens when i use headphones sometimes to - i find if i press the end call button straight after pressing play it stops but if you let it play for a few seconds then press it its ok?
Might be obvious but have you installed the official music stability update?
Yep, as I say, it appeared to be working fine until last night. The only programme I have recently installed is SPB Travellers Demo.
My alarm clock failed me again this morning! This is the second times in less than 1 month. This is quite annoying and I don't even understand WHY?
Settings are correct, volume set at about 50% and it works (most of the time ) fine. But this morning when the alarm rang out, for not reason, volume was barely audible.
And I actually noticed that all other sounds (ringtone, notification and media) had the same problem. I tried to set media volume to max, I could ear some sound but nothing compare to loud sound it should be. I didn't find any way to fix this, except rebooting my gs. After that everything was working perfectly fine.
Anyone with the same problem? Thanks in advance for your help.

Tell us a bit about the firmware you are running, any custom ROM's? Eclair or Froyo?
Actually I used the wrong forum, my phone is a Galaxy S I9000 released for the Japanese market (Japanese name: GALAXY S SC-02B). Appreciate if an admin can move this topic to this appropriate forum, thx.
Here are the details:
Firmware version: 2.2
Baseband version: SC02BOMJJ1
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #1
Build number: FROYO.OMJJ1
I also use the free version of AudioManager as volume manager

I have the exact same problem, i noticed that the lock sounds are actually sounding out of the ear speaker. i have tryed several HD roms an all do the same. Dont know how to fix either. A dev is needed to check out the problem.
This worked for me, Download [Volume Master Free] form the market and check your system volume, mine was down to 50%. Hope this helped. Happy New Year!
Whenever I get a call, the ringtone is very quiet for a couple of seconds before suddenly playing at full volume. Increasing volume is disabled, so does anyone know why it does this?

Try checking and unchecking increasing volume a few times in the settings then. If that does not fix the problem you might be able to try wiping all data to do with the phone and sound settings in Settings > Applications..
It was doing it even when new out of the box though, and also when I first installed XXUAMDN, so it's definitely not an app issue or anything. Tried toggling the increasing volume toggle several times too.

almost all new phone act like that, it is normal.for not to be "surprised" at first ring :good:
So how can I disable that behaviour?

you cant, but i dont know if you can when it is rooted
I'm rooted, so if anyone knows then feel free to share!
This S4 is my first Android phone and i was wandering this also as my phone has always done that for about the first 2 seconds which ive found very strange, never found a way to change it either.
I've had several android phones, but this is the first to do it.
My previous note 2 and the wife's s3 don't he same (as well as my s4).
Unsure if it's an android thing or Samsung thing.
I think it's so the phone ringing when your not expecting it doesn't frighten the living daylights out of you!
Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 2
It's definitely not an android thing, otherwise my previous 3 phones would have all done it too and I'd already have had a 5 year head start on learning how to stop it!
Right, just found it's a Samsung and LG thing. Seems you can edit the secphone.apk if you're rooted, or alternatively you can download an app called "disable increased ring" from the play store. With this app you get a persistent notification that it's running, but then if you go into application manager you can disable notifications for it. I tried the app and it works, no root access or custom rom needed.
Flash Omega or Wanamlite ROMs, they have this "feature" disabled

Thanks, just found an app that disables it anyway. What a stupid "feature".
I have this exact same problem on my s3 mini. So it's deffo a Samsung thing... Thanks for posting different solutions
"Disable Increasing Ring" app works fine so far.
