Hey guys,
So I had posted a thread about starting a new theme, and I though I was off to a good start....had started replacing images...
But I ran into some problems when I was replacing .png's for the framework-res.apk.
Is there some general "rules" for theming in order to have the framework themed? I discovered that just replacing images and zipping up/signing the .apk and pushing it back starts to cause issues after a certain point.
Can someone point me in the right direction? Either point me to a thread or even just give me help in this one.
Thanks in advance!

To contribute something back to the community, i've written a step-by-step guide for installing Android.
It includes picture illustrations and I hope to add to it troubleshooting answers and such.
It's still an on-going project but I hope it will help people to put Android onto their HD2.

Please post any comments or anything people would like added to it or any commonly answered questions that can help guide people. I hope this guide alongside the various forum guides we have, it will make it much easier for new starters
Thanks!!
Excellent piece of work! Would have been of great help when I was installing Android! Thanks for all the hard work

hey guys,
As you know there are many mods out there, can someone teach me how to compile all the mods into one zip file. Cause i am lazy to flash mods one by one and i'm looking for a way to lump them together.
Any help is much appreciated
Thanks =)
Hi,
I have just recently recovered from a drawn out computer nightmare after having tried to change the logo.rle (second splash screen) in my intrid.gz by myself. I have researched the web and xda on how to do this. I even found a few guides here on doing it. But none of them really give you a step by step set of instructions for a nooby, and I am alien to linux. I tried with ubuntu and couldn't do it. Then I messed up my boot loader for the 4 windows os's i have installed. went through a lot to get that back. and i am out of ideas.
so I am hoping that there might be somebody out there that uses linux and has the experience to do this with relative ease. If anyone can help me. i will attach the 3 logo.rle files and the 3 intrid.gz files (all aokp). myself, dad, and sister are all using the hd2 and i'm setting them all up for us, and i really really want to be able to replace the 2nd splash screen with a reward if found screen, as i have seen here in the forums is a very good thing to have.
can anyone help me?
--- edit
i have attached the 3 logos and the intrid.gz (same aokp intrid used for all of them)

I find it hard to believe that you didn't see this post that is already on the front page...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2342278
I can give you this advice...
Go to each S4 subforums and read ALL of the pinned (stickied) threads.
LEARN to use the forums search function
Start reading the "suggested" threads that automatically show up when you start to post a question.
This is the BEST help you will get, ignore it if you want, IDK, but please don't post about it not being helpful if you choose to not follow it.
If you follow the advice, good luck, I'm sure you will get on track.
Thanks
