Do you notice better reception or battery life? I want to flash the latest radio but now with different versions of hardware going around I didn't know if certain versions of the radio were made for different hardware versions. What hardware version is your evo? Mine is 0003. Thanks for the reply.

0003 nova screen
great reception, no issues at all I highly recommend it. make backup in ra recovery first to avoid rsa keys being wiped

I'm running the latest nightly of CM6 so yes
Any of the Hero CDMA radios will work on any ROM. The radio is ROM independent.

Just checking, but does anyone know if the most recent (i.e. July 2010) radio for the Eris will work as well as that older one?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=779304
Found it here, gonna try it.
edit: Well I flashed it just fine, but my dbm is actually higher, average about -90. Before with the latest Sprint radio it fluctuated between -82 to -90...I will need to test and compare for a little longer.

Have you tried it on another ROM? I had issues with bluetooth on CM6.1.2 (since i was using snap7.6 w/turbo) but I also had it recently with another ROM that I can't remember. It was a different issue but either way, it didn't work.
Works with AvaZ3 and Mik4.5 though.

WiFi Signal on G-Lite...

I've noticed my WiFi signal is quite a bit weaker is comparison to say RCMIX 4.0 or Affinity.
Is there any way to transplant the great WiFi performance to G-Lite?

Well I understood that wifi had more to do with the radio as opposed to the rom.
Hmm. I always thought the opposite. I thought wifi wasnt tied to the radio, that the radio was just for GSM signal...

So you've had the same WiFi performance between roms? Even Sense based?
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using xda premium
Well the radio and rom are two separate things, you must flash them independently. Certain radios work better for some on certain roms, but also it depends on the region as well, it really is the epitome of YMMV! I personally stick to radios from official updates, besides if it ain't broke don't fix it. In your case it was but now it's fine so just be careful. Flashing radios is the number one phone bricker next to one click root solutions.
I'd like to know which radio you ended up using as well. I'm also using G-Lite and experiencing weak wifi signal, at least shown on the wifi indicator.
Not sure who your asking but I'm using the newest stock from the last.official ota

Are you sure that it's not just the ROM showing that it has lower signal than it actually does? I'm using g-lite 2.0.1 and i have no problems with wifi at all and this ROM is amazing, i think you should flash the latest radio for the htc vision as that's the one that is recommended by the developer of g-lite. Here's a link to the list of radios for your phone http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=970809 , the one i'm using (which is also the recommended one) is the one at the top of the downloads list - Vision_Radio_12.62.60.27_26.13.04.19.

T-Mobile SMS problems

Anyone having problems with text messaging lately? I'm a pretty heavy texter and I had people tell me that some of their text messages didn't go through to me or some of mine didnt go through to them the past few days. Running Euphoria if that matters... I never had this problem on froyo but I am not sure if its coincidental and just a t-mobile problem atm...
I had the same problem yesterday while running Frankenstein-FishmanMod. I wasn't getting any texts and none were going out. A restart seemed to fix it.
That weird, I mean mine isn't completely not working but it seems to happen every so often and a restart doesn't help at all I flashed back to froyo this morning and it still happened... I guess im going to have to call tmobile
Have the same problem on my sensation

Which is the latest, most recent GB sense kernel?

Searching the dev section for Kernels are quite confusing now with all the ICS and JB roms out there.
Does anyone know what the latest and greatest (of it's time) GB sense kernel that I can search for?
Thanks
TDJ had a Sense kernel that was pretty decent. Start there?

Supposedly the codez(?) 3.0.62 and 3.0.64 don't have the overheating issue. Personally, I'm using 3.0.74 evervolv, but I rarely use headphones.
EDIT: Although, I'm still a noob and my kernels might be aosp and not sense... if there's even a difference...

There is a difference. Sense kernels should only be used with Sense ROMs. Everything else gets AOSP.
Yeah the evervolv one does have the problem, my temperature went all the way to 49°c lol.

Some phones get above 75°C. The temperature difference means little. What's important is whether or not it's within operating specs.

lol but for any googlerz
the sense one works for android 4.04(jellybean? or ics)
the next works for aops gingerbread
both for the mt4g
So what about the latest sense gingerbread kernel? Which is what the thread was supposed to be about!
I was using TDJ's darkside v7, however I was randomly missing txt's from people, not sure if that's a kernel issue or rom issue.
