This rom is extremely alpha, it is more of a proof of concept than anything.
Just in case you didnt understand, this rom is highly experimental.
Flash at your own risk. If you have any ideas to make this rom better, please, by all means, contact me.
This rom was made using the sdk dump that I pulled out yesterday, however Darkstone1337 made the rom bootable and passed on the knowledge,
then M-deejay took that knowledge and made the core of this rom. I am just putting some things in it to make it a little better.

Thats Gingerbread for ya
am i just stiupid or is my english too bad for understanding this?^^
when i read ROM, my brain says "u have to flash it"
but installation says:
"Extract the "Android" folder in the ZIP file below to your MicroSD Card, pop it into your HD2, open File Explorer from WinMo, find the Android folder, tap CLRCAD.exe and then Haret.exe, and you're off!"
so what exactly is the improvement in this version?^^
edit: its 2.3...now its makes sense^^

Slight increase in speed because of MDJs S7.5 kernel, and atoores data.img. I still dont know why, but that data.img helps with warding off boot issues.
This boots very quickly!
Has a long way to go but its awesome to see gingerbread booting on our hd2s. If you need any testing done, I'd be more then happy to do what I can.
Thanks to those who have put the work into this so far!

Ok finally start android, boot very fast, and i see avery 5 minutes i lost signal cell
Say Hello World!
Send from my HD2 gingerbread.!
What I like;
-No chopper on scrolling, but maybe is because SDK don't have hardware acceleration, let's see in future.
- fast data
Great first try of getting Gingerbread on our beloved HD2. Great to see that it boots up. Hope there will be new builds with extended functionality in the future.
Big thanks to the devs!
My experience so far.
- Quick boot
- Installs .apk files from the AdroidApps folder
- A lot of lag. In fact it hangs most of the time
- No or very bad signal
- No or very bad data connection
- menu graphics are messed up

Wow,
thanks so much!
I was able to record a short video of my HD2 running SPGinger:

Of course there are some bugs but data connection is fine for me (Vodafone Germany).
Also I can install the most apps with the FileExplorer.
I think in about one week we'll all run around with the perfect GingerHD2beast!
So long.

THANKS GUYS!!
What you will need is the installation copy of the build that you will be using, the latest zImage and your sdcard.
The latest Android build can be found here: Its under the standard builds section.
http://gamesquare.co.uk/
And the latest Zimage can be found here:
http://cotulla.pp.ru/leo/Android/
I personally recommend the dan1j3l's Froyo build.
Down load both the zimage and the build.
Format your sdcard, select default settings and unselect the quick format option.
After the formatting is done (about 20 mins)
extract the contents of the Froyo build to your sdcard.
Located in the folder "android" you will find a file names zimage, replace it with the one you downloaded.
WITH YOUR USB PLUGGED INTO A POWER SOURCE, reboot your phone.
As soon as you can, using the built in file manager if u have one, navigate to the android folder, select the program CLRCAD, (it will not do anything that you can see)
Then select the Zharet program.
Lay the phone down!
Sit back and wait, you will see text fly across the screen, the flash might flash, screen might fade and then come back.
Once linux is done loading and mapping out the hardware, android should be up and running.
Sign in to google and your contacts will sync if you have any on there.
Android is not perfect yet BUT it has come an amazing way since the beginning of the month.
I am using the current settings in WM, if you can do the same and you should have no problems.
SA TMOBILE HD2
HSPL2, I know HSPL3 is/has been out and is recommended, but is there any advantage in using it, i don't want to change if i don't need to
Radio 2.10.50.26
O.S. 5.2.21908 (21908.5.0.93)
Manila 2.5.20161332.0
Energy.Leo.21908.Sense2.5.Cookie.Jul.16 (absolutely love the energy roms, always updated and he includes the program to back up all settings making the update flashes a pleasant experience)
i ALWAYS TASK 29 before all roms!
CLASS 4 or better sd card.
When ever you want to load android, you must do so by selecting the two files mentiond above after a clean boot and always clrcad.exe first.
Sometimes android will not boot correctly, remember it was not designed for this phone.
Also all settings you make, programs you download, ect will stay in android
Pictures and such will be shared between android and wm.
Trying...
I'm installing it now per your instructions. A couple of concerns you might be able to help me with. I could not find the program CLRCAD in any folder, ok I couldn't find an android folder either. I went to my SD card where I had extracted the froyo & copied over the Zimage, I didn't see a Zharet program but I did see a haret file that looked like a program so I clicked on it and it started to download Linux! I hope I did it correctly even though it seemed slightly different. am I going to run into trouble not having run the CLRCAD?
Thanks for all your hard work.
Guess I answered part of my question. It did not install correctly. I'll look for a CLRCAD and retry.
cant believe im back in the winmo forum once again.ran HARET froyo last night on my HSPL2 Leon RoM,and wow.with wifi i was browsing, playing 3d games(flawless compare to my EVO 30fps capped),and watching youtube.really loving it.glad no one bought my HD2 but now its a keeper.

I Found CLRCAD ( I think I was just a little sleepy last night when I was trying this) I ran it and it loaded correctly. Wow it seems to run great! I am running Touch-X Extreme ROM and have some issues with the phone(it doesnt work, I have no antenna). I will try loading energy's rom (since so many people have got the phone to work well with his) and see how well it works out.
Good luck!
Do we really need to format our SD card? If we don't what would happen to the data already on there?
is the "zimage" provided for both dan's froyo and desire v4?
which files do i replace with the new zimage?
After a few days of use, this build seems to run fine. Except for a few things. 1) my phone tends to run real *hot* after using Android. And second, after about 5 min of idling the screen goes black and there seems like there's nothing I can do about except to reboot. I can't even push any of the bottom buttons, that doesn't work either. on. It will run just fine as long as I don't let it sit to long without touching the screen. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? I can't wait for a even more stable build.
why cant i sign into google and other networks and why is it running overclocked? help me out yall got daaaamn lol. thanks
Is Paradoxua's Froyo build more stock than daniel's? Because daniels' uses ADW, which I'm not too fond of.
Also, is anyone else experiencing weird scrolling issues? Like you flick down a list and it's supposed to go flying down, but it only goes down like a tiny bit.
Another issue, when the screen turns off while you're connected to PC, the phone seems to disconnect too. I assume this is a WinMo issue because in WinMo when you connect your phone to your PC the screen is always on.
Thread moved to General.
i got my hd2 to load android just fine.. but the screen is very dim.. any ideas??
maybe you can toggle the backlight settings in winmo.. idk. it works for the tp2.
I always get the green screen or death or it enters android and quickly says powering off. And shuts off.

you need to make sure automatic light is off in win mo before you boot up android and i always leave it at around 60% and it works fine.
I have also been having some scrolling issues. It goes down a tad bit and if you hold the screen for a fraction of a second too long after first setting your finger on the screen, then it acts as if you did a holding touch.
Also the 3g is very very slow, kinda makes the market place useless since it takes for ever to download something. Wifi downloading is working.
New zimage file
Try replacing your current zimage file with this one.
http://cotulla.pp.ru/leo/Android/Cotulla_zImage_CABDET_NOSPEEDDY.rar
Just replace/override it on your sd card.
Also delete your cache folder and your data file.
You will loose your information inside of android, like doing a reset of the OS.
Check this http://cotulla.pp.ru/leo/Android/ often, fair warning many people are having problems with the newer image marked(7-25)
Some roms or radios wont work for sure!
I am now running MIRI rom wm6.5 V17.6 with radio 2.12.50.02.2 and I must say very impressive how far you devs have come in a few weeks. Phone is working with audio and WIFI. I had stock rom TMO 2.13 installed with radio 2.10 and although Android loaded and ran fine I did not have audio during calls, they sounded robotic at times or no audio at all. I am not sure if it was the radio upgrade or switching the ROM to MIRI that did the trick. I have been playing with phone for approximately six hours nonstop and it has been solid...
Gen. Y DualBOOT Implementation
Does the app work well the newer builds?
Btw a very BIG thank you all the guys working on this, you guys are freaking AWESOME!

Thanks, I was using the Jul 19 zImage.rar file. I'm about to try this one and see if it makes a diff.
anyone know how to get the data connection to work for T-Mobile on the Android desire v5? I go into APN settings but it always requires a username and password but t-mobile doesnt use a username/password for apn.
I am very interested in the Android development for HTC HD2 and I would very much like to try one of these builds. However, I'm totally confused as to what to do, how to install, what to install, which version to choose, etc. In other words.... I'm not a developer!
I would therefore suggest an "Available Android Release Thread" here on the forum, where each developer who is working on this can have a post that they can update when they update their release, and where they could list the installation steps and the prerequisites for going through with it.
If this already exists, please excuse me, I just didn't find it.
If it doesn't, I would appreciate it greatly if you could take the time to create it.
Thanks, and let me add that I and probably the entire HD2 user community, greatly appreciate and value the effort you guys are putting into this!
1)Install HSPL on your win mo.
2)Load Radio 2.12.50 (must end with 50) via bootloader.
3)Download hyperdroid v 1.5
4)In your root of your sdcard, create a folder "HyperDroidV1.5"
5)Copy the files you have downloaded to the folder you just created.
6)Open up the folder, tap on CLRCAD to enable sound.
7)Tap up on Haret.exe to boot linux.
8)Wait for about 5 mins for initial.
9)Viola, you got android on your phone.
P/S : If you dont know the terms yet, do some homework by googling it. It is readily available in the net.
there are stickies on how to install, what version is personal prference
and the majority of devs who release their builds do say in inthe first thread of what to do to get it running

Your phone turns into a motorola droid or droid 2?
Just an FYI...
My wife has the same phone and she hates it, for obvious reasons. I will soon be using her phone to create an instructional video that will take you through the whole processes.
I will be including installing HSPL, Radio, Winmo ROM,and finally Android.
So, when time permitting and I can swipe her phone for long enough...

Thanks, but I flashed my winmo ROM and updated the radio, now I'm using sergio's desire build perfectly
One thing that should be noted, my feeling is that WM stock ROM messes with android and causes a whole mess of problems, so you should flash an approved ROM before booting your android. This is JUST IN MY EXPERIENCE.
Had SOD with every build before, now I'm nearing the end of my second day with no SOD issues at all.

PLEASE READ THIS POST AND UNDERSTAND IT CLEARLY BEFORE USING THIS ROM!
Heyo,
This ROM is now a port of the Nexus S Gingerbread ROM leak for the HD2. I would like to make it clear that this ROM may be unstable and not for everyday use! Since we're using a version of Android designed for a different device, we may have issues. The leaked build I'm using is available here - some modding is required though.
Starting from 0.05, my builds come with a 96MB Data.img file to get you out of trouble. I will provide data.img files that are 128MB, 256MB, 512MB and 768MB in size. You can make your own image via a terminal on Linux like this (don't type the dollar sign or the stuff behind it)
Code:
[email protected]:~$ dd if=/dev/zero of=/path/to/Android/folder/data.img bs=1M count=128M
[email protected]:~$ mke2fs /path/to/Android/folder/data.img
(answer 'y' to the question when mke2fs says "data.img is not a special block device, proceed? [y,n]")
Installation
Extract the "Android" folder in the ZIP file below to your MicroSD Card, pop it into your HD2, open File Explorer from WinMo, find the Android folder, tap CLRCAD.exe and then Haret.exe and watch the sparks fly.
For patches, extract the files in the patch archive to your MicroSD Card, overwriting any existing files.
Downloads
You can download the ROM from my server below. Please don't use download accelators, they will make my VPS cry...
LATEST VERSION IS 0.5, PLEASE DO NOT USE OLDER VERSIONS AS YOU WILL BE ASKED TO UPGRADE IF YOU SAY SOMETHING IS NOT WORKING ON THOSE OLDER BUILDS!
Version 0.01 > Get the goodness here! <
Version 0.02 (Patch only, download v0.01 first!) > Get the goodness here! <
Version 0.03 (Only a data.img for people who are having boot problems) > Get the goodness here! <
Version 0.05 > Get the goodness here! <
Version 0.05 requires 7-Zip to extract

I think bluetoth works too, I just started once and it founds other devices.
fast, and verry stable. I had it on for about 50h without any crash, after that i restarted due to wifi error.
With wifi on and doing some thinks, like smsing browsing, playing a game some minutes it lasted for about 11-12h.
I think if you having this rom in standby mode, it will propably last more than 12h, I haven't checked it.
With this rom and this rootfs, it works like a charm!

I forgot to mention that I have Energyrom, but i agree with the previous post.
Google goggles works too and every other app!
Good luck!
Edit: I have checked it, this FRX06_Full_Bundle_25.3.2011 is a 24h build
note that with no wifi enabled.

Nobody even give me an answer ?
I'm using Froyo 2.2.1 CBV2. It's a good and stable rom. Cam & Wifi works. So you can play around with this rom while waiting for a good CyanogenMod 7 rom
Good luck!
Edit: I advice you to change rom in order to overclock your touch hd. Energy rom looks flashy but it's very slow (no offence).. I used it for quite a while.. but when changing rom I saw the real speed of touch hd!

I tried FRX06 too.. but it's not as fast as Froyo 2.2.1 CBV2.. You have to prepare you're sd card (making partitions and stuff; all explained here) but it's really worth it!

You says to overclock my HTC HD, but that does not mean that changes (overclock) to speed procesor to burn it ? Like a procesor of Computer EX: procesor curent speed 1800 GHZ off 3000+ (procesor product AMD) but if i change speed of 2400 GHZ if posible to burn it, corect ?
Could also work a 2,4,6,7 months time, and then burn the procesor ?
I had an experience with the HTC Touch Diamond and burned to overclock the processor to 528 MHZ I went up to 688 MHZ, and after 2 weeks after he died (CPU burn, I find that to the guarantee, I have a friend who works HTC Service and that verdict has given me )
I am a little afraid to do overclock the HTC HD after I lived experience

First of all XDAndroid will not replace WinMo completely, yet.
There's no need to do any overclocking. You can, but it might cause instability issues.
Also, there's not one package that just runs 'out of the box' on Blackstone (Touch HD).
They either have missing functionality (GPS, Google Apps, whatever) or you need to follow a certain installation procedure.
Check out if this works for you:
- Get the FRX06 bundle from the Touch Pro/Fuze thread, follow the installation guide there too, but...
- use the correct startup.txt and ts-calibration (attached to post)
- get the special Blackstone kernel and rootfs by g3rm0 (see my signature), and then with everything on the SD card...
- follow the steps i described and you should be a happy camper.

I have those partition on my 8GB card. But i dont know if that helps.
Look at this video on youtube, download that program and do exactly as he did.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCV7Eu1pjWQ&feature=related
And follow steps that hrk7474 said.
Thanks!
Yes, use that build first and than try to use Froyo 2.2.1 CBV2 ...
You've to find out what Froyo build is really working for you..
For FRX06 you don't have to make partition of your 8gb sd card
For Froyo 2.2.1 CBV2 you do.. but it works well and still faster than the FRX06 build..
You don't have to overclock your phone if you don't want to!
So it's up to you.. Android is not fully optimized for our blackstones yet.. most things will work... But it's not as fast as it should be.. That's why the overclocking can be handy!
But you'll have to find that out yourself... Good luck!

As I'm sure is described in the installation guide in the thread where you got the FRX06 bundle from, yes, the startup goes where haret is.
By the way, have you looked at this thread at all?
'Waiting for SD' is the 3rd question dealt with in the FAQ. The fix worked for me when i had the SD-card issue. (I later removed it from the startup and my SD has been working fine
I further advise you to read the other threads as well and use the search function, because if this is your first serious attempt to run XDAndroid on a Blackstone i seriously doubt there's anything you will run into that nobody has experienced or dealt with before.
Don't get me wrong, we're all glad to help out eachother, but most of the answers are all over the forums already.

There are two (tree) possible fixes for "Waiting for SD card" issue
1. Make sure it's formatted to FAT32 filesystem.
if that doesn't work than
2. Open startup.txt --> find set cmdline and add this: msmsdcc_1bit msmsdcc_fmax=14000000 msmsdcc_nopwrsave
it that doesn't work either you can only try another card. My 8GB Transcend card refused to work so I had to buy an old class 2 SanDisk 2GB. Good thing they are dirt cheap now

same problem, the problem is the card 8Gb,thanks
Pff....
I tried all the above versions of Android and without any results, after restart back to windows mobile phone, why ??
My SD Card doesn't seem to work, why?
Most SD Cards are working, but if you the 'waiting for SDCard' message, you should try one of these fixes (and please let us know if it works)
Fix 1: Format your card with this tool http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter/
Fix 2: Edit your startup.txt file and add these red entries to your cmdline:
set cmdline "lcd.density=240 msmts_calib=0x395.0x3c9.0x79.0x77 clock-7x00.a11=500 msmvkeyb_toggle=off pmem.extra=1 gsensor_axis=-2,-1,3
msmsdcc_1bit msmsdcc_fmax=14000000 msmsdcc_nopwrsave"
Fix 3: Tell your wife / girlfriend that you are about to make some modifications to her phone... change the ringtone and steal her old Class 2 SD Card to use with Android. She will never discover what you have done, and if she does, you'll be able to use Android to send texts to your former girlfriends ;-)
Copy and paste from:

Follow that if you having card problem.

I have a big problem when you need to calibrate the screen ... but I do not look to the cross with calibrate the screen.
It`s Show me the screen and first cross calibration ( in top left corner ) for 2 seconds ( I do not see the calibration screen, how can I do if I can not see the calibration screen ? ) and then continues installing Android, after the installation is complet i can not use the touchscreen because is not calibrated.
I use Startup.txt and ts-Calibration,but .... no efect
Mention that the 8GB card is not working I found a 1GB card and it works
Or tell me how you've done and the steps that you made when you put the files on the card,
All Android versions have the same problem, HELP !!!!
Thanks
I think after the first corner the calibration spot will appear after that the other calibration spots wont show up, but just push each corner after you see the first top left cal.ponit, then efter when you have pushed all other corners and are about to push the top right corner push once again the top left corner then it should proceed as normal....Thats what i was expierenced with this FRX06 build.
Or just put calibriation file in the folder where haret is started, main folder. Startup file must also be there, both files is for your Blackstone. You will find Startup file in the STARTUPS folder and the calibrations file from the link below.
Here you have calibrations files for your blackstone:

Hi, I am quite new to the HD2, so I have a question that might sound dumb to the more experienced people reading this.
Is it possible to Dualboot WP7 and Android ? But it is not that simple, I want my phone to boot into android unless I choose WP7 instead, I currently have Android ICS on my nand so what I need is something like the SD method used to dualboot WM6.5 and Android, but the other way around and with WP7 instead of WM6.5
Thanks.
Seems like even if I wanted to singleboot WP7, I cannot, because I cannot even get a rom, all the links are broken, If any on you have a WP7.8 with all the good stuff and tweeks I probably want, please link it.
Hi Traysa, you can only boot wp7 from nand using magldr. magldr lets you choose which OS autostarts in bootsettings. So you would need to partition your sdcard and use an SD android build, or better, a NativeSd ROM.
Shame the links are down, have you checked the last few pages of the threads for re-upped links? What wp7 takes your fancy? I might have it on HDD.
Off to sleep now, night night.
Oh, and you will need an activation code for wp7, don't think Microsoft give them out now as wp7 is unsupported.
Yes, I did look for reups for about an hour, found none, I would like a WP7 rom that has lots of preinstalled apps, because WP7 is no longer supported and getting them might not be very easy. dont really care if its Mango or WP7.8, I just want it to work. And about the WP7 activation key, how would I go about getting one ?
Thanks
edit: Forgot to add, I dont want to install wm6.5, i want to go straight from android to WP7, if at all possible.
The one you say you have ( WP7.8 pdaimatejam v8.8) should work, please mail it, or link it if you still have it.
Oh and pdaimatejam put this code out, it supposedly should work TP4CF-GK479-Q9Q4Q-WPYRP-7YR4D
heres another : CRFV7-X32H9-7QF2Y-CG239-V62YR
Off to work, will look later
After a **** ton of digging, I found a Hd2O ROM from a Dutch website, will try it.
No need for the rom anymore, the rom I found is working great, is it still possible to use the market ? When I try to make an account, it gives me a connection error, what do I do about that ? Also, I didn't use the key like you said, it never asked me to use a key.
Turns out I actually need a code, the two I found dont work. How do I get one ?
Okay, so WP7 is working perfectly, but I want Android too, how do I do that ?
I like either something cool like FroYo, I need an SD rom right ? Heres one,but the link is down ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=870518 ) I already have a few things on my wp7 installation, so I do NOT want to delete it all, so I will probably need to back it up, but 1. Will it work if I partition the SD card 2. will it even work with zune down ? If you have this rom, please post it

Hi again Traysa, sorry been really busy in RL lately and haven't had a chance to get on xda. How are you getting on?
I posted a working link at the end of the thread you quoted for the Froyo build, but it would still be too big to install on sdcard without re-partitioning. I am pretty sure that you would lose your stuff if you repartitioned.
But see this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41706158 for a way to boot android without repartitioning, it is also superRAM as the original froyo build, and works well as long as you have only a few apps.
Thank you, but I cannot get the ROM, because it was uploaded on DevHost, which I guess does not work any longer, if you still have the rom, would you put it on mediafire or send it as an attachment ? It is kinda sad, that so many HD2 ROMs got lost this way. I am also really surprised that you were able to get android on such a tiny amount of space.
Best regards
Traysa

Hi, this build is soo close to booting, but when I go to Ad SD and launch it, Portadroid starts porting is and then it reboots, any ideas ?
I also have an unrelated question, I recently started experimenting with the CM13 build for the HD2, but I cannot figure out, how to get files onit, when I plug it in, it shows that its an MP3 Player and I cannot put any files on it, when I put the SD card in my PC directly,I quickly figure out that Windows is not Linux and does not understand EXT4. Because the browser/the play store does not work, I cannot put any apps on it, so that its usable, I wanna put a veeeery lightweight web browser on it and aptoide, it that works.
PS : Thank you for helping me, it always makes my day !
EDIT : I figured the file transfer out, I had to switch to PTP in settings instead of MTP.
