I updated my media hub through the market a few weeks ago when I was on stock 2.1 and it still works after updating to DK28. I think the people that are saying it doesn't work didn't update it before installing froyo.

To get Media Hub working, flash this zip in clockwork.

Diselg is correct. I updated media hub before the update and media hub works for me. For those who haven't updated yet, make sure you download the market version!

However, for those who have already flashed to DK28, the solution I posted will update your Media Hub without having to go back to DI18.
Where's the new Android Market update? I see all of the pictures of the new Market on the tech blogs, but no update love for our Epics? Granted, I'm still on 2.1.1, but what's the deal, yo? Froyo only?
Not sure how they are pushing it out. It isn't just for froyo though. I finally got it yesterday on stock 2.1.

I got it on 2.1, and on 2.2.
Make sure all of your apps are up to date, it doesn't seem to take unless you have updated everything that has an update in the market.
I got mine after I cleared up remaining updates on both versions (could just be coincidence, but i see merit behind it)
Mine just got updated today... kind of strange as I booted into the old one... was using it and then all of a sudden it was the new one.

Disagree i got mine yesterday and my pandora has been at 1.5.1 rather then the updated 1.5.2 cause i have a modified one with no audio ads and unlimited skips.
I just noticed I got mine today & I'm running on 2.2 dk28

I got mine today after I updated Google Earth. It installed I pulled my notification bar down and boom it popped back into the new market when I closed it. I have the Baked snacks rom and it works pretty good but I can't wait for the official Froyo I installed the dk-28 but it was a bit to buggy for me btu great battery life.
I did the manual update for the market and when I did that I noticed that there wasn't a section for widgets like promised. I just went to my market and now there is so that's pretty cool I must have gotten it and not noticed it. And a section for live wallpapers too!!

Oddly enough, my 1.6 G1 got it, and my Epic hasn't yet. Poor G1 doesn't have enough balls to run it, I keep getting the "app is not responding" popup.
Is there a manual update for the market somewhere. My epic does not seem to be getting it.

here ya go : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=869352
Opened up the market and saw that I now have the updated version. Wasn't asked to update.
Is it laggy for anyone else? Doesn't force close but seems unresponsive and it seems like it chokes the network. Takes forever to download an app. Maybe it's just me. I even rebooted. Even after reboot, when I try to browse the market, my phone just freezes...
got the update here too. wasn't asked. its laggy as hell. glitchy as hell.
wtf?
im stock.
You have to leave background data on and I would turn auto sync on too for a bit. Open the market and hit the home key so it doesn't close it should do its thing.

I got mine about a week ago by flashing from CWM. However, if you have Titanium Backup you can force the new update out of ram and have it integrate back into rom.
came home and saw this http://downloadsquad.switched.com/2...next-version-of-android-market-and-music-app/ would be nice if you guys could port the preview apps
edit: the music app works nice!!! havent tried the others yet
Downloads in your link seem to be down now.

Have you tried them yet, or did you just post it straight away? I wanted to use them for a bit before I posted them in case they caused problems.
I've used the music, its really nice. But, since I'm not rooted, I can't use the market.

I have to be honest, I can't find anything that comes close to the samsung music player. that 5.1 support is amazing in the car!

Found one glitch with the music player. I stopped using it, so I stopped the track, then backed out of it, and went to the tw music player, and started using it. Then i wanted to rewind to a different track, so I pull down notification drawer and hit the reverse button. Well, it reversed, but then the downloaded music player started, so when I hit reverse it said the tw player was on one song, but a different one was playing. It was controlling both players, but he one downloaded was the one playing. Hope this makes sense.

So they were both using the same notification widget? As long as you delete the original music app then you should be fine....
Market working fine for me.

Since I'm not rooted, I'm curious to see someone post a screenshot or something of the new market, if its that new

I've got my music beta invite today, but it appears that the Google music app on the Epic force closes now that I have accepted the invite and uploaded a few songs.
Anyone else have this going on?
I'm on the EE03 leak if it matters.

Yeah pretty sure it's been confirmed that it doesn't work on ee03
I don't know about the service or how either part runs on the Epic, but the app, from the Market, runs nicely on an Indulge. So if it runs on the Indulge... it'll run, the app at least, on an Epic.
Still waiting on my invite. @k0nane - Like the new signature.

The market music beta app does NOT work at all on the EE03 leak. Works flawlessly on EC05...
I got a beta invite randomly but cant use it on my nook =(
I got an invite 8 days ago & just barely started uploading my music yesterday night. I've got the app for my Epic running SRF 1.1.1 & it doesn't seem to work. Maybe it might have something to do with the phone's modem? I'm not sure, but I'm only seeing the music on my SD. I checked my settings in the app & it is connected to my account, but it won't display the uploaded music at all. Damn it!

Just leave the app on your phone. Keep trying every couple of hours. It took my phone a while to sync up to my Music account. But once it does, it's pretty quick to update with newly added songs.
Yup. Once it's synced with your account, it'll work fairly well. Im on EE03 and I use google music all the time. especially at the gym with bluetooth headphones. The UI sucks though. And It could use a decent widget...
Google Music works great for me!
Only thing is, I have about 1800 songs and since this is only a beta, I assume it won't last very long.
Kinda sucks in my case, since deleting the songs for space and streaming them for a short period of time wouldn't benefit me because I'd have to add them back later anyway when the beta is done. =\
No Ogg support.
No use from me.
Just got my invite yay! ! If you haven't gotten yours yet you might want to check your email maybe your lucky too!
