Yeah, Letters are separated for me as well
I downloaded the arabic folder and placed SYSTEM folder in my root of my SD card.
Rebooted device, yet, nothing has changed.
the right way to arabriz your Loedroid
Any easy and guaranteed way to make your device support Arabic see the below link
http://www.ce4arab.com/vb7/showthread.php?t=245275
What I got actually changed the font to a nicer one and connected the letters. There is still the oddness of the right-to-left writing but overall it works.
Step 1 - download this from ardroid.com
http://www.mediafire.com/?cfc0irjf5flkuer
Step 2 - Extract the .zip on your desktop somewhere.
Create a folder INSIDE the Android folder on your SD card and call it "root" (without the marks)
Step 3 - Take the extracted files and place them in the "root" folder. Then start up your flavor of Android. The "root" folder works because it thinks it's flashing that onto your phone.
Step 4 - Enjoy. Do not delete or move the "root" folder. Just leave it be.
Then just download an Arabic keyboard off the Market and enjoy.

Tried that, now Android doesn't boot & stays on the HTC white screen .. Using the MDJ FroYo HD 4.4.
Anybody has the original libskia.so file? Wanna replace it & try again.
Edit: Never mind, solved
2011.08.29 changes:
- Increased the dictionary size to 370k words (LatinIME_370k.rar) which is almost the maximum size based of the makedict.jar's source
- Rebuilt from the latest CyanogenMod (Nightly #172) source
- Added new (adb) install method
2011.06.16 changes:
- Added the 2 length words (example: az, de, és) into the dictionary
- Rebuilt from the latest CyanogenMod (Nightly #104) source
2011.04.13 changes:
- Rebuilt from the latest CyanogenMod 7.0.0 source
------------------------------------
I've created a custom gingerbread keyboard with an sms friendly Hungarian Dictionary for my own use but I tough maybe someone else could find it useful also.
What I call SMS Friendly characters:
Because of the limitation of the extended ascii characters encoding when you enter the one of the following acute accent characters (á,ó,ú,ű)
then the maximum length of the current sms message will be only 70 characters instead of the original 160.
If we replace them with their grave accent version (sms friendly) than we got back the original length of the sms message.
Dictionary:
- contains the top 100k frequently used words created by Hungarian Webcorpus
- removed all the very short words (length < 2) and numbers
- replaced all special Hungarian accented characters to its sms friendly version:
á -> à
ú -> ù
ű -> ü (*)
í -> ì
ó -> ò
ő -> ö (*)
(*) : I know this replace cause incorrect grammar but I can live with that
Keyboard:
- used the latest CyanogenMod's source from the github (credit goes to the great CyanogenMod Team )
- changed the accented pop-up characters to their friendly version as I did in the dictionary also
Installation methods:
- Before you install it a backup is highly recommended!!!
- I. Replace the originally LatinIME.apk in the system\app directory in your custom rom before you install it via recovery
--OR--
- II: Install via adb commands:
1. Reboot phone into Recovery (make sure phone is plugged into PC)
2. Select "mounts and storage" then select "mount system"
3. Open your command prompt and remount /system as writable
Code:
adb remount
4. Push the LatinIME.apk to the system/app dir
Code:
adb push LatinIME.apk /system/app
5. Set the correct permission
Code:
adb shell chmod 644 /system/app/LatinIME.apk
6. Reboot the phone to apply the changes
Code:
adb reboot
After you installed the apk you should select the Hungarian (Magyar) language to take effect.
You can do it here: Settings -> Language & keyboard -> Android keyboard -> Input languages
Warning it removes any other dictionary from the system!
Please note it was tested only on the CyanogenMOD's nightly ROM.
Enjoy!
Update
Dictionary and source updated (details in the 1st post).
Update
Increased dictionary size to 370k words and new install method was added also.
See the details in the first post.

Hey,
is it possible to delete mistyped words from the user dictionary of the gb keyboard?
I know that there is a personal dictionary in the input settings, but it contains only the words I typed with the HTC Sense keyboard.
I cant find the personal dictionary of the gingerbread keyboard.
Great app, thanks!

Requirements:
- Rooted SGA
- File Explorer with Root permission (i'm using File Expert)
NOTE: I was only successful in moving apps/games without 'lib' linked to them
0. Move App from SD to Phone memory (or install to Phone Memory)
1. Open File Expert
2. Menu > More > Mount > Read/Write
3. Go to directory /data/app/<app name>.apk then copy file
4. Go to directory /system/app , then paste the <app name>.apk file
5. Look for the file (usually com.<source>.<app>.apk), long press on it to open a pop-up menu, select 'File Operation' then 'Permission', tick all check boxes in the 'Read' column then 'Apply'
6. Delete /data/app/<app name>.apk
7. Delete /data/dalvik-cache contents
8. restart phone
How to free some memory space from /system
1. go to /system/T9DB delete languages that you do not need phonepad_XX.kdb, qwerty_XX.kdb, Samsung_400_XXubUN_xt9.kdb. Where 'XX' is the language indicator (i.e. en - english) (i have deleted all extra languages aside from 'en' and free upa around 4MB)
2. Delete unwanted ringtones, notification tones. Or you can move those that you dont like in SDcard by creating folder name 'media'(and sub folders like those on system on the root of the phone.
3. Delete unwanted bloatwares in /system/app
So far these are the files that are safe to delete.
[07-29-2011] Update
1. Was able to move Ninjump to /system/app and libninjump.so to /system/lib, game works (not successful on Angry Birds though)
Which mean that the apps which can only be installed in Internal can be moved to SD?
letsurock, you can do it using titanium backup app.
YES. titanium backup more safe
avoid mistaken with titanium backup
At attachment is table of apps which can be deleted from system/app folder without brick your phone...

I'm not sure about this one. There is a file /system/csc/others.xml , which contain settings about input method . You can see there "<inputlist>" languages that can be selected. I think if you find a way to edit the XML file properly you can add your language so that it can be selected in one of the input method you select.

Working...
Copied phonepad, qwerty, and ldb file for desired language or languages to /system/T9DB, than change permissions like other files to rw-r--r--, and than edited /csc/others.xml file, and added two letters code for new added languages... restart and all working, I have my missing keyboard and T9 suggestions...
How to add/remove languages to swype.
Preparation
* Get a tool capable of working in zip files. I use WinRar. WinZip, Total Commander or anything else should also work.
* Get a Swype Version which works on your device (QVGA for Galaxy 3). Install and test it! This is your base - it has to run propperly so you customize it. You can find swype keyboard swype inside a stock rom.
* Check your swype version & download a swype (With any resolution).
* When i refer to "dummyfile.apk", that is always meant without quotation marks.
Customization
* When you find your swype that suits to your device, we start. I refer to it now as "myswype.apk"
* Open "myswype.apk" in WinRar/Total Commander/Winzip/WhateverYouLike - we wont unpack it, we work inside it.
* Delete the "META-INF/" Folder inside "myswype.apk"
* Go to "Assets/Files" inside "myswype.apk"
* Each standard language consists of 3 Files here: "Language.htm", "Language-full.htm", "Language.le" - some complicated languages like korean may consist of up to 5 files.
* Delete the Languages you dont need.
* Dont delete anything else! Important files are "languages.lst", "license.dat", the two "Numbers-XX-Latin1.zkb.le" files, the four "QwertX-XX-Latin1.zkb.le" files and all .png's!
* Now copy additional languages from the other swype with the languages you want here. Of course it is in the same location: "theotherswype.apk/assets/files/" - remember: 3 files per language!
* Open "languages.lst" in any text editor - even notepad will do! (I use Notepad++)
* Write a list of Languages you wanna use here. The name to use is the name of the .htm file without .htm. This is case sensitive!
* The Contents of the original language.lst as an example: "EnglishUS,Spanish,Italian,PortuguesePT,German"
* Open "helplanguages.lst" in any text editor and repeat above steps
* Delete unneeded keyboards from "assets/keyboards/". The "SwypeRef*" are QWERTY default, the rest is self-explaining like QWERTY or AZERTY. There is no way to see what language needs what keyboard. You either know or you have to test.
* Delete chinese help-file from "res/raw/dict_pinyin.mp3". It's only needed if you use chinese.
* Recheck all your steps and close your zip-tool!
Optional: Customize Skin and Sound
* If you wanna change the skin, modify the .png files at "myswype.apk/assets/keyboards" - the other .png files in the .apk are only for tutorial and help.
* There are some skins at XDA forum, which already made it to a custom .apk file.
* The one and only soundfile, played when typing or finishing a word, is located at "myswype.apk/res/raw/beep.mp3" - change this if you like
Finalization
* Download a sign tool from xda (Auto-apk-tool v1.0.7 its nice)
* Open it and press "10". Drag "myswype.apk" to the command and press enter.
* A file will be created (myswype_signed.apk).
* Thats it! you are done! install the .apk and have a nice day!
Troubleshooting
* If you find your language not working, that usually got one of 3 Reasons:
* You messed something up. Recheck your "language.lst" and "helperlanguage.lst" file and see if you have all needed language files in "assets/files"
* Your language is not allowed by our included license file. That happens a lot with new languages like the Chinese in 2.10.52. Users reported workarounds with renaming the language to some supported language. Like renaming Serbian to Croation.
* The language files you got are not supported by the latest swype version. Rule of thumb is, 1.x swype language files wont work with 2.x language files, but 2.x language files are compatible with each other. As far as i know this rule applys in most but not all cases. So search for another swype version containing your desired language and try that file.
* We obtained another license file. Right now, it is unknown which languages it supports, but it is from swype 2.7 asia galaxy s. the license we currently use is 2.4.44 based. give it a try, it might work with your language. please also give feedback, which language works/doesnt work. copy it it "assets/files/" and overwrite the exiting license.dat
* Swype languages from swype 2.XX dont work on swype 3.XX!

I havent tried it but it will work
I have installed Swype 3.xx from official site and procedure. Licensed.
Worked at first but after reboot, it started giving FCs. Nothing else can be done with anything related to swype now. I do have the apk backed up. Using that backed up apk, i re-installed it but now it says Invalid License and will work with limited functionality. which is basically no swyping at all!!
How do I get it to work again???
I did a search for "Auto-apk-tool v1.0.7" but results showed me only earlier versions.
Where can I get the version you mentioned?

Not working.
Used AutoApkTool you provided. Signed my Swype 3.xx.apk. Got a resulting Swype 3.xx_signed.apk.
Copied to SD.
Then using Root Explorer, copied apk to /system/app
Went to Locale & Text...
Saw Swype Settings (but the was no "Enable Swype" checkbox)
Tried entering Swype Settings. Gives force close.
Uninstalled!!
Went to SD. Tried installing directly by clicking on the Signed.apk.
Installed like any normal app.
Went to Locale & Text...
Saw Swype Settings (this time, there was "Enable Swype" checkbox also)
Checked it.
Entered Swype Settings. Language, audio & vibration were grayed out, cant select (not that i want them though )
Went to text input box, new message compose.
Selected Swype as Input Method.
BACK TO SQUARE ONE. "Invalid License. Will have limited functionality"
Cant SWYPE at all!!!
Yeah. If you take swype beta, you need a licence (which mean you need a cracked swype 3 qvga). So you can take one from a rom, or you should find one (type "mobilism swype" in google)

how can I get Swype Keyboard v3.25 from your rom? Do I have to install it first and then find swype on my Galaxy 3? Can sbd upload it here?
I know this thread is probably forgotten (which is a shame, its great) but I feel like responding regardless.
1. Extracting Swype from a rom:
windows- "Disk internals linux reader" can do apparently do it for windows. Thanks -Vinne2-
linux-extract factroryfs.rfs from the rom .tar. in a terminal cd to the folder with the file, then run (as root)
Code:
#mkdir mount
#mount -o -loop factoryfs.rfs mount
now the folder mount will be like the system folder in yourt phone, so go to the folder app and copy Swype.apk somewhere else.
mac - I don't have mac experience, but I think there might be a method similar to the one above for linux
Phone
Flash the rom, copy the file from /system/app/ (of course)
Put factoryfs.rfs on your sd card, do the same as for linux (isn't it great when your smartphone can do something that windows cant )
2. Installing your SwypeIf you want to install it as a system app, you also have to put libSwypeCore.so in /system/lib. You can find libSwypeCore.so in the Swype apk in the lib folder. If you do this you can also delete the lib folder from the apk to save more space!
You can install it like a normal app (will go to data).
3. Signing the apk / -linuxThere is no auto apk tool for linux so I made this script (well I didn't actually make it, I stripped down APK manager, so credits to Daneshm90( java is required, and I guess a chmod 755 may be necessary.
Extract, place the apk as Swype.apk in the "Swype-signing" folder, then run the script
Code:
$chmod 755 Script.sh
$./Script.sh
P.S. There was something else I wanted to say,... oh yeah, I dont know if I can post Swype here so if somebody wants it, I can send them the one from kyrillos's cm7/gingy rom (the 20+mb one with a lot of languages), just pm me and hopefully I'll see it soon afterwards .
I still have the feeling that I'm forgetting something

Can you please do me an apk file with arabic files from the link above into a swype of version 3.26.92.39150? Thanks. I tried the steps from the 1st post, but it aint working. I even tried this but did not work:
Rename arabic files to greek ones, and replace the original greek files, in a plan to select greek, but get arabic. but it aint working.
Please advise.
I have a Samsung Note 3 with Swype that allows me to download some additional languages, does anyone know where those language files are located? Thanks.

same question.
I'm trying to add portuguese language using swype "add language" function but every try show me "error" so I want to download manually the language dictionary and also add manually to the direction/file where could be located and be "readable" by swype.
Thanks in advance for your help

FILES YOU NEED:
- Apktool - Compiles and decompiles apks (type extract, but Winrar not have to use this same program)
- UpdateSingTool - After compiled apks need a signature, that is what this program does.
- Notepad + + - edit the XMLs in a more organized way.
DOWNLOAD HERE ALL FILES NEEDED:Turbo Gamer Edition TRANSLATE
PART 1/if anyone have doubts directly PM me.. :
First we have to put APKTool disk C :/ or D :/ ....
In the folder where is the apktool.bat copy the following files from your rom: / system / framework / framework-res.apk
/ system / framework / SemcGenericUxpRes.apk
In that same folder where is the apktool and those files you just copied, will you hold shift and press the right mouse button, then click "Open command window here"
In this screen prompt that opens you will write:
apktool if framework-res.apk
apktool if SemcGenericUxpRes.apk
(fra writing prompt and press Tab to complete the filename, not only the framework-res.apk, only used for example.)
With these commands you will install the things you need to be able to decompile the apks.
Now I give the commands you use to decompile the apks and compile:
(Remembering must be installed with the framework, as explained at up to close the prompt have to install again).
apktool d nameofApk.apk - Decompile.
apktool b nameofApk - Compile. (Without the. Apk at the end)
When decompiling will be created a folder with the name of the apk in the same folder you are working in these folder will be all the apk files.
To translate'll get into the res folder, there will be a folder named values within this folder will be a file called string.xml, most of what the user sees in this file, but we will not change it, but will change the language "mother" of the ROM.
Let's create a folder with the code values that we want to translate the language.
Ex: values-pt-BR (Portuguese Brazil), values-es (Spanish) ...
In this folder you'll want to copy the files to translate.
If you want to translate to Spanish its better create the folder values-es and copy the files from the values-PT-BR, since the languages are similar. Use Notepad + + to translate.

PART 2
after finish we will use the translate command to compile, if the framework installed and all is right in the translation will compile, will be created two folder inside the folder you compiled apk, dist and build, build folder will be apk without the signature, to sign this apk is only put in the folder and click updatesingtool sign_apk.bat, after a few seconds will be created nameofapk.apk_signed.apk a file, this file is the file that goes to rom.
Now just rename the taking _signed.apk and replace this file in the rom.
files to translate:
In the folder / system / framework
-famework-res.apk (much to translate) - things rom as shut down, restart buttons, statusbar
in the folder / system / app

You mean uploading the files to there? Otherwise the link is missleading.
