Hello,
I just want to ask whether I am wiping my phone correctly.
I'm using Amon Recovery image and then to Wipe and press option 1, 2, 3 which is Wipe data/factory reste, Wipe cache, Wipe Dalvik Cache ...
Is that enough to wipe or should I do something else before flashing?
I ask because on my 2.1 32b magic I have happened to have applications from previous flash and i did wipe correctly at least I think.
Thanks

If you can get into the phone's settings you can try uninstalling / reinstalling Launcherpro
Hi everybody! I have got a question, can I do only wipe cache & wipe dalvik cache when I pass from White rabbit(CM7 modified) to CM9?? Just to not installing all apps
Full wipe is recommended.
Definitely full wipe needed or else you will encounter some issues

Questions go in the Q&A section
As u are shifting major versions of CM u need to do a factory reset too.
1.Wipe data
2.Factory Reset(U ll loose everything. Except the SD card content)
3.Wipe Cache partition
Then flash the ROM.
It is recommanded in Defy update guide for CyanogenMod.
Hi,
could anyone please tell me the best way to remove all Google Apps? Wipe data/factory reset, clear cache and dalvik cache and format system partition? Or is it also possible with Titanium Backup? Thanks

Wipe data/factory reset and format /system is only way. Of course that wipes everything else too. You could backup data and apps and restore them later to get most back. But do not restore system apps or gapps will come back.

So is there any difference between a factory reset from the settings or the factory reset from the recovery? Talking about stock here.
Nope, both are going to wipe all the user and system data.
