Cyanogen Stable 6.1 port? - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hi,
I know there are a few Cyanogenmod based HD2 ROMs, but was wondering if there are plans for a (clean) port of the new stable release?
Or what is the 'cleanest' CM 6.1 release to date?
I'm using MDJ HD desire build and it's solid, but I prefer Cyanogen to Sense...
Peace out brosephs...

I'm waiting for HD2ONE, shouldn't be long for 6.1 stable to be released.

sweet, cheers.
trying the current build. seems pretty sweet. way faster than Sense build.

Why stable?
Nightlies are just as good, the very few ones that contain bugs are just ignored by the HD2 chefs anyway.
HD2ONE is good now as it is too (i.e. nightly build, unless I'm very mistaken here), and I like JDMS (based on Ultimate Droid, which is based on Cyanogenmod) too.

I wondered if there was a build that is based on the CM 6.1 final version as that is now out, (not the RC versions).

Which Rom?

Hi folks,
I've been out of touch with custom rom going on's for a while - at the moment I'm running MoDaCo's 2.9 on the 1.5 firmware. Am I right in thinking there are now custom roms I could flash to my Hero that will also update the firmware? What are the particulary good ones at the moment (I haven't seen a MoDaCo Rom for ages - I think 3.2 was the last one?)
Sorry for being such a pain, there just seems to be MOUNTAINS to catch up on.
Thanks,
Pete.
Best 1.5 ROM is SenseHERO 1.6.
there is a new modaco rom, based on the latest 2.1 and it's great. fast and stable.
You have cronos droid which is based on the official 2.1 release (cronos 1.7) and you have villainrom which is also based on the official release (villainrom 10).
Both are rock solid choices.

Yeah I'm running Mocado 4.0 R3 and it's a great ROM!

confused over cm6 versions

Sorry if this is a total dumb question. What CM6 liberty is the most up to date? I see the original cm 6.0.0 and then if I look at the change log I see cm 6.1.0 listed. Should we be installing 6.1.0 instead of 6? Is the version downloaded as 6.0.0 really 6.1.0? Thanks
6.1.0 is the current work in progress. It isn't final yet. It's like a beta again.
That makes sense. So how do the nightly builds fit in, are they in between 6 and 6.1 or are they the 6.1 plus nightly fixes/progress.
I'm running 9-7 nightly and it has the audio focus configuration in the music app which is in the 6.1 changelog. So I think the nightly's are between 6 and 6.1.
Clarification: between 6.0 *final* and 6.1 *final* which would in turn mean 6.1 betas
Nightlyies right now are the wip to a final 6.1.0. So all changed going for 6.1.0 will appear there.

[Q] Switching Roms

*Originally posted elsewhere and got no response*
Hi Chaps, I'm considering switching builds to the current Typhoon nand rom, I'm currently on the old M-DeeJay nand Rom for those of you with long memories, and for the most part it's been very stable. Unfortunately just recently I've been having issues and have decided to have a fresh install.
Reading through the last 60 pages or so of the typhoon rom, it seems like the ROM has become somewhat unstable with the latest versions, with data dropping out, batteries being drained etc
I've experienced no real issues like this with my current Rom (no issues that I can't solve), are these real problems for typhoons rom at the minute that I should wait to see fixed, or is it a case of user error and I'm fine to go for it?
I've never used cwm, so haven't flashed nightlies, I prefer to find a Rom that works and stick with it rather than risk screwing up my phone
Also - just how improved are current roms over ones that were cooked up around christmas time?
The other ROM I considered was the Dorimanx one, it seems to be just a little too tweaked for my liking
current cm7 roms have android 2.3.5 base. instead of them you can use roms with android 2.3.4 base (which are stable).i typhoon rom op there are old rom download links.i'm not sure but version 3.4.1 is said to be very stable.
best stable rom i ever tried http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905060
and fast ...
thanks chaps - now running typhoon 3.4.1
best rom with sense is Android 2.2.1 Sense 2.0 NAND Firmware (based on stock Desire HD RUU Ace 1.84) by Mikhei777
I cant speak for non Tmobile HD2 devices. But for the TMobile version this ROM is the fastest, cleanest, and most stable I have used. I have been using it for almost a year. So far have not run into any issues especially once I switched to the CLK version. [OCT16] AmeriCanAndroid AOSP HD2 GB2.3.7 CM7 | bk2sdext [KERNEL:ACA823]

Out of interest, why choose the older versions? Gingerbread is pretty stable so there isn't any real need to select an older version as they're all very stable and fast. I don't know about the others but I know that Typhoon is past v3.8 right now and the one you listed is 3.2. It might give people the impression that v3.8 isn't as good, which simply isn't true.

UK GT-I9505: Which is the most stable Android 5.0 or 5.1 ROM?

UK GT-I9505: Which is the most stable Android 5.0 or 5.1 ROM?
I usually only install Cyanogmod but I'm pretty sure their Lollipop builds are all still in Nightly. I'm only interested in stable builds.
My GT-I9505 is from Everything Everywhere in the UK (who still haven't released lollipop).
Thanks.
As of CM11 there are only two release channels: Nightly and M Snapshot. You want the M Snapshot if you want a stable release.
All custom ROMs not based off Touchwiz or the Google Play Edition firmware are Cyanogenmod-based. All are suitable for daily use.
Thanks Strephon.
Do you have a specific example of a stable S4 ROM? They maybe all based on CM (I didn't know that) but imagine some are more reliable than others.
I read about the M snapshots thanks .
p.s. Stable being used generally. I'm aware CM used to use Stable as a specific naming convention.

The GPE rom. It's the most stable and bug free rom I have used.
But pretty much all roms I have used have run without major issues
