I have a couple over here... http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/sprint-ep...clockwork-redirect-2-flavors-12-5-2010-a.html
Hate to bump this because it's in the wrong section.. but I'll be sure to donate to someone who will put up the most barebone, speedfreak version of the official DK28 Froyo. Basic theme, nothing on there but what is absolutely needed (with removed apps in a .zip, of course) .. and that be it. I just feel so much cleaner when all the bloat is goooone.

CyanogenMod is a ROM not an addon. Its basically a tweaked version of AOSP 2.2. So you have to flash a whole CM6 ROM to use it, you will find a ton of CM6 based versions around here for the HD2.
P.S. The best place for questions like this are in the Q&A section.

Hey guys im wondering what ROM is closest to pure aosp for the fascinate?
Thanks
Retro kids has some nice themes that you can slap on your rom of choice. As of now, that's as close as you are going to get.
JT's clean ROM with RetroKid's AOSP theme.

tried to install it but i never get past the SAMSUNG screen.
Is there a special way to install it?
and im not talking about the MAGIC aosp rom because thats still built on touchwiz so it seems from photos.
Did you get it from IRC? That's where it is. Also, it is very buggy, and the phone doesn't work.

that is a no radio/data with the 11/11 that some have stumbled upon in the rom manager manifest
Which version are you running because there are two different themes for each version. For the i01, check out my aosp request in the themes. Retrokid has instructions on how to install theme. For the version that doesn't really exist, his ultimate aosp theme is what you should look for.
Im looking to put froyo onto my htc hero. Can anyone provide some advice as to how i should approach doing this.

Why froyo?? Jump to Gingerbread .. Our Heroe's can run gingerbread thanks to the lovely Dev's and there's two of them ( infact 4 in total ) you can try out in the development section .. check them out
Just Replace Ur Recovery to RA 's one andthen Flash Ur Rom
I am using Elelinux one , quite good

Actually I prefer Froyo, but only because it's alot smoother. I dunno about benchmarks and stuff, but it does run more smooth than any of the Gingerbread roms I've tried.
Though if you can survive with a little bit of stuttering, go TastyGinger (by RaDuG) or Elelinux' Gingerbread. If you want Froyo, I strongly recommend Cyanogen 6.1.
Well, here is the complete guide.

You can try TastyFroyo or TastyGinger by RaduG. Links in dev forum
Ok so at the moment i have froydvillain which is ok but am looking to use cyanogen mod. I installed the file (update-cm-6.1.0-rc1-hero-signed.zip) on my htc hero and it worked perfect except the rom didnt have a market for buying apps? Anyone know why or how to get it?

hmm you'll probably need to flash a gapps package as well...search for it on the cyanogen site
My friend is coming over and he wants to fix his phone, CM7 has been pretty iffy for him. Did some searching but didn't really come up with much here. Can someone point me to a stock 2.3.6 AT&T ROM? Maybe one that's been debloated?
I found GingerMod.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1400023
But looking for something that's 100% stock. There's gotta be some good stock ROMs with light mods?
Thanks.
Check out the fruitcake thread in the developer forum.
