There's two people selling there Evo for $200 so I'm lucky question is should I wait for the 4 or buy it now
buy it outright that way you don't sign a 2 year contract. if you activate a phone that YOU own you don't sign a contract. It's month to month. PM me and let me know if the other one is for sale. I'll buy it now.

Like I said sounds fishy. The post has been deleted already and that ad looked fishy. It kind of looked like you were advertising it.
well I paid $430 for my HTC evo i/o Google phone shipped from a guy on Craigslist in sfbay California. I'm out of contract,so this price was just awesome. plus I got it
We'll I had it listed on ebay it was going for $820 then some guy offered my $1100 through paypal. Woohoo this phone is popular, people were emailing me like crazy for it.

Scam, better make sure you don't ship it until paypal confirms after 2-3 days. I've had people do that to me before. They send a paypal payment, you ship the item, then they retract their payment and you're screwed.
Ya i already put the money into my bank account. I didn't realize how popular this phone was.

But was it confirmed? Paypal will let you withdraw the money even if it isn't confirmed, but they'll force you to pay the money back to them if the payee retracts his payment.
Like I said, I have went through all of this before.
Edit: Even if it has been confirmed, you can still do a chargeback through your credit card company. I'm not saying that's what happened to you, but you have to be cautious.
It was confirmed and I am protected
last time I checked the phone was going for about 880$ on ebay. what kind of idiot would pay 1100$? congrats if its true though

To be honest, I would like a NICE backup phone and for this price it's a hell of a bargain... IMO I know that prices will always fall but if your looking to use this on AT&T or Straight Talk in the US then it's a good deal considering that this device will get the updates quicker (usually) and HSPA+ is fast enough for a lot of people... I will probably ditch one of my Galaxy S 3's to pay for this (mostly) and return this open boxed one that I just got on Monday cause it's acting weird and I paid for a "NEW" item and got an open-boxed N7100 so Amazon can handle that one since it was fulfilled by them... I will probably end up getting a Note 2 on Verizon once the bootloader is unlocked (which you know it will be!) and everything will be grand!! Thanks OP!

I'm definitely happy that some are able to purchase these and I wouldn't hate but that seller seems to have some rough (recent) feedback.

What would be the actual shipping cost to Canada including insurance? Are you sure it is not a fair price? I know insurance can get pricey especially when shipping international.

I'm located in BC, Canada. Does anyone have experience to buying google devices on play.google.com?
Those of you in Canada, did you have to pay tax? Or is it $309 outright?
One more question, can we preorder the phone or do we have to wait til Nov 13 to buy the phone online?
Thanks~!
I'm sure there will be taxes collected somehow... as for when we order I'm not sure. Hoping earlier then the 13 so we get it on that day. So in other words a pre-order.

When you place your order it will be from Google Canada Corp. You will be charged HST and shipping. There are no pre-orders.
Thanks for the promptly replies! I think I'll buy it in stores to save on the shipping. How soon do you think Futureshop or Bestbuy will start selling the N4? Right on the 13th?
Thanks~!
Doubt it. Maybe 2-7 days after. There hasn't been any leaked info about anyone carrying it in stores in Canada yet. Same with carriers. The only carrier that I have seen that has any info on if they will be carrying it is tmobile. That's it.
I could be wrong tho.

For profit. They know people will pay $20 or 30 more because they won't buy it online. You might be able to price match it if your lucky.
Profit. Cover costs like shipping. Marketing etc. Wouldn't be surprised if I see if for 450+ in stores.

Not really. They get bulk discounts. You will be surprised on how much bestbuy/futureshop actually gets them for.
Well hopefully it won't be too expensive... When I got the nexus 7 from best buy when it first came out, they charged the same as play store (259 CAD).
$403.20 after tax

btw, anybody here on wind/mobilicity?
As an employee of best buy in Canada I can tell you that the company won't be selling the phone outright. (Galaxy nexus wasn't sold either) Makes absolutely no profit (all profits come from activations not phone sales) so your best bet, and mine, is the Google play store.

I didn't make any profit from selling my S3 ;'(
UK buyer here. I was under the impression that the £279 for the 16 gig included tax.
After having another look on the "Devices on Google Play Terms of Sale (Great Britain)" page it states:
All prices include VAT.
All applicable taxes will be presented at checkout, even if they are not displayed on the product page.
So what is it, the price shown includes VAT, or it doesnt and an extra 80 quid will be thrown on top of the 279?
Source: https://play.google.com/intl/en_uk/about/device-terms.html
I have no idea wtf anybody would pay this much, but if you really want an n6 there are a few for sale on swappa now. One is asking $1200... Really? I guess there's a sucker born every minute, I think I can wait though.
I REALLY want a Nexus 6, but I'm not paying a cent more than the price on the GPS, suckers gonna suck I guess
Scalpers are the scum of the Earth.
In a just world, they'd have a $1200+ car bill tonight. Because anybody selling a Nexus 6 like only bought it to resell it instantly, keeping the rest of us from getting a device.

Here in the UK the Nexus 5 was around £400 in retail stores for the 16gb while it was £339 on the GPS for 32gb.
It goes for as much as people are willing to pay.
Motorola should only allow 1 purchase per person instead of 6

Nope.
Just scalpers. And I stand by what I said.
If someone is willing to pay it, who cares. Nobody wants to live in a world where prices are set and governed.....it's counterproductive. If people weren't willing to pay this much there wouldn't be people selling them for this much. If you want to cast blame, blame the people paying the exorbitant prices, not the ones simply giving them what they want at the price they are willing to pay.

Very safe as long as you do it smartly. Do the transaction in a Starbucks (I sold OnePlus phones through that method easily) or a bank during daylight hours. Have them xfer money through Google Wallet, not Paypal, or even a 3rd party like their own banking software. If they want to bring cash, meet at a bank so the bank can verify the authenticity of the money.
