Try charging your phone while it is off until the green led turns on. Then unplug the phone and turn it on. Android should be at 100% (or maybe 99% depending on how much power your phone uses to start up).
You gotta charge to 100% in windows and then boot android

Posted about this before, but issue was never resolved. Using a telstra Leo on vodafone nz, getting VERY bad service. Almost always using g instead of 3g, and dropping very often, that is, when it actually gets service, which is barely ever when I'm not right next to a tower. Please help.

try changing your radio??
look under settings/about phone/software version/radio, try a diferent compatible one for your device.
this can also be related to the kernel so u can try different kernel
Using the latest 20.xx.15 radio, and tytungs latest kernel. Are there any radio Tom's specifically for vodafone nz?

I just flashed my HD2 with android. It's hard spl'd and at "SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE", CotullaHSPL 0x50. The problem I'm having is that signal swings quite a bit. I can be holding the phone in the same spot and the signal will go from full bars with 3G to no bars within a minute. Could I flash a new radio to fix this or do I have to stay with 2.08? Most ROMS require 2.08 so I wasn't sure how to resolve this.
BTW, I'm on a T-Mobile USA version of the HD2. I've got Magldr & Clockwork mod recovery installed and using
[30 DEC] Desire Z 1.85.861.3 [Froyo 2.2.1][v1.1][Raf+Mde 1.9OC]
But I have this issue with any ROM I use.
Use 2.15 radio which is recommended in combination with android.
There is a thread here on xda with all radios for our superphone.
Find it and flash it.

I have been having bad signal and sluggish data speeds after flashing a rom. On any rom I was choosing actually. And then I decided to give it a try after almost 6 months of being rooted to reflash my current radio and I noticed immediately the difference.
Is this a known problem or am I the only one? I know flash my radio after every rom.

Your radio is not altered when flashing a new ROM. By reflashing your radio after every ROM flash, you're only increasing the possibilities of something going wrong and leaving you with a brick. The radio is the most dangerous thing to mess with and radio flashing/reflashing should never be taken lightly.

But why is that I get signal drops and slow browser on every rom even on stock rooted
Sent from my HTC Glacier using xda app-developers app
Your ROM does not touch the radio. The radio resides in a partition not touched by recovery.
Flashing a radio is dangerous. Failure = a bricked device.
I'm not sure why you're having this result, or if it is a placebo effect. All I know is ROM does not affect Radio performance
But I do notice a big difference in the time it takes to load a web page after reflashing my radio as well as no more signal drops

Did you flash the same radio version or a different one?
I just reflashed the same radio that was already on my phone

Is there any explanation for me having random signal drops and slow data speeds

Shaky service in your area? Is WiFi like this too because it might be the hardware
Sent from my HTC Glacier using xda app-developers app
Nope wifi is perfect, my wife has a sensation 4g which never has a call drop and we live in the Miami area and I would get call drops in the middle of the day in the city.
It happened on virtuous affinity (but I know sense 3.5 has kind of a problem with signal, correct me if I'm wrong), virtuous unity, lee Droid the latest one, everything. Until reflashing my radio I don't understand why.

In Miami too... I just reflashed to the latest GB radio from Panache stock and it did feel like it was giving me better overall service. On Sense Roms though I do notice an occasional signal loss and then it comes back and a lot of times it's while sending SMS. After the last time going from Dark Unicorn back to ARHD I was not receiving some messages from my g/f and she wasn't getting some of mine, if I did they were late (that didn't make her happy, lol) but I think it is better now. Maybe it's T-Mobile, maybe my Android doesn't like her iPhone.
Actually I just flashed the latest version of miui.us v4 and I can say that it has the best signal on any rom I tried and didn't have to reflash my radio as compared to just changing from the last GB version of miui.us which needed a radio reflash
