After Re-Flashing JPM phone is not starting - Galaxy S I9000 General

I have installled JPM and it was working fine but i have re-flashed with PIT = s1_odin_20100803 and PDA = JPM WITH selected/checked re-partition option
after i did wipe data/factory reset and my phone is not starting it is stacked at 'S' and getting vibrate continually.
what should i do now to re-flash with what ????

JPM is meant to be flashed without repartition checked with 803 pit but JM8 should be put on first with repartition checked using pit 512 and then flash JPM.

Flashed back to stock with odin, now force cloeses... Help Please

I flashed my fascinate back to stock with odin and now when i boot up i just get a ton of force closes and they keep coming up and wont let me continue. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
You should have posted this in the General section.
Now, what did you flash to stock from? Were you using voodoo beforehand?
IME, FC hell after an odin restore is due to the PIT file not being used.
Open Odin
Go back into Download Mode on your phone.
Hit the PIT button and select the PIT file you downloaded from the OP of the odin topic.
Hit the PDA button and select the "system" tar you downloaded from teh OP of the odin topic.
Hit Start.
Wait for it to finish (system takes a bit).
Reboot into recovery and wipe data/cache.
Sorry for posting in the wrong section and i was on vodoo and removed it and flashed a differernt rom was most recently on the zinc rom. i also tried to re run odin with pit and still force closeing. thanks for the help so far

Only other thing I can think of off the top of my head is wiping data/cache from both Stock and CWM recovery. You could also try wiping dalvik cache (CWM-advanced) or nuking the contents of dbdata...but that requires either adb or root access and a phone that isn't constantly fc'ing on you.
Have you tried restoring a nandroid backup?
If he was on vodoo then he write have to flash back to a vodoo kernel and then make the disable lagfix folder and reboot. Then revert to stock kernel right?

I think that a good question here would be whether or not you had voodoo installed. Tell us what you are/where running so we can diagnose and help u work through the problem. No worries though, this can be fixed.

ok so orignally flashed vodoo and when it was first put out then i (what i thought was) removed vodoo and flashed the Zinc V2.1.3 Fascinate Rom then i went from that to Blackhole Version 1.2 Rom after i flashed to blackhole and before i did any restore of apps i had 0 internal mem left and couldnt figure out why so i decieded to run odin to put the phone back to 100% stock and now all fc's
I had the same issue today, to gix it I booted to recovery and did "factory reset" it wiped the data and no issues since. I have also changed to the atupid fast kernel instead of voodoo. Hope it helps. I suggest you try it...

Help...problem flashing rom

Using Odin to flash I9000XXJPY. Odin finishes correctly and the phone restarts and goes into the recovery screen. I get two error messages.
Message 1:
update media, please wait
E:Can't mount /dev/block/stl10
(Invalid argument)
E:copy_dbdata_media:Can't mount DBATA:
Message 2:
your storage not prepared yet, please use UI me nu for format and reboot actions.
copy default media content failed.
If I reboot system it gets stuck on the logo screen.
Sounds to me like the first step would be to reflash the ROM and see if that solves it.
If you still have the same trouble, flash a recovery ROM such as your original stock ROM or Darky's Resurrection and go from there.
Of course, more technically minded types here will likely have better/more complete advice.
Good luck

Tried that several times and didn't work. Any other tips.
Flash a stock 2.1 rom using 3 files plus pit file and repartition ticked. I'd format the internal sd and do another factory restore then to make the phone as clean as possible before re flashing jpy. If using 3 files use pit file with repartition ticked. If one file skip pit and ensure repartition is un ticked. I've done this loads of times to get back to stock rom after custom roms. Good luck, hope this helps

Flash JPU first with repartition ticked using 512.pit, then flash the JPY you have without repartition. JPU also has the 3-button activated bootloaders and works great... no need to go back to 2.1, imho.
Im having this same issue and flashed many combos but still not working.
It seems the int sd is not formatted correctly and wont mount.

Yeah you can do that too. It doesn't really matter which you flash to as long as it's the 3 files with pit and repartition. It's only a base rom to enable you to get the phone clean and to flash over again

Use Odin 1.7 from my signature.
Which Firmware you ON & what did you flash?

Help! Flashed without Disabling LagFix

Hi
I have flashed my Galaxy S without disabling lagfix, and have tried everything to get it to boot and all I get is booting to the galaxy s screen and the occasional vibrate or two. I have flashed stock firmwares with Odin, removed the battery and cant get it to work!
Any suggestions? Can I somehow flash CWM through Odin to disable the lagfix?
Any suggestions will be helpful,
Cheers
the lagfix would be corrupted by now, with the Odin flashes and so on, so flashing CWM probably wouldnt work.
What you need to do is download a firmware with 3 files and PIT file. Then in Odin, check the re-partition box, That will restore the system back to RFS (stock file-system) then that should do the job
+ 1 for that
+2.
I always use JPU. Then reflash to the firmware you want.

Soft bricked my phone and need help.

Ok I messed up and need a little help.
Went through a couple threads to troubleshoot and not gotten very far.
I9000M
I was using a older froyo version of docs rom with voodoo kernal.
I decided to try to flash stock JVH with all files (pda, phone, CSC) with odin 1.7
re-partition checked, update bootload checked, 512 pit
phone reboots and when wiping data error message "E:format_volume: rfs format failed on /dev/block/mmcbl0p2"
No recovery but download works
You tried flashing eclair then froyo?

http://insanity.rollus.net/EZbase/EZbase-2.00.pdf
I usually revert to EZBase when switching roms. Maybe someone else can confirm this is a solution?
Flash back to KC1 using Odin.
And if you get the famous E: Can't mount /dev/block/stl10 (invalid Argument) message, follow the instructions in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=984140
Worked for me after flashing back to KC1 coming from JVH
Fixed !
Thanks you all !
used the EZbase and then flashed to KC1 ..booted right up !!!
Thanks again !

[Q] DL17 flash issues

First I want to thank everyone on this forum for incredible work. You guys have made my phone awesome.
I've been trying to flash back to dl17 in order to get the ec09 update. (crashed computer lost my original nandroid)
I've been using the files on ciscogee's database but have been unable to get it to work.
What I have done - wipe cache, dalvik, data.
When I tried flashing with repartition checked Odin stalled at set partition.
Flashed without it checked, phone booted into recovery but says update.zip gone.
Not sure what is going on. Scoured the forums for answers found nothing. Tried using the i500.pit same result.
If someone could help that would be great.
If it's too much trouble I'll just wait till someone makes an odin package for ec09 that I can flash over ec07.
Gracias

Well this is what i did, i hope it works for you:
I flashed EC07 odex "RELPRODUCTION" with the i500 pit with repartition on.
Then i flashed dl17 stock image files with i500 pit repartition off
and.........just rebooted and it worked just fine
if you repartitioned on the dl17 flash, you're gonna have to flash ec07 stock. dl17 doesn't have bootloaders or params.
Brilliant.
Worked like a charm. Many thanks.

I don't think the .pit file does anything if you don't allow for re-partitioning.
