Probably not, this is a Hong Kong rom, includes English, Chinese and a few other languages but not German

does it include french language?

It just has English (UK, US) and 4 Asian languages.

There is a misconception that this is a Hong Kong rom. Actually it is also provided on Kies for Taiwan users. So to be Totally correct, its a Hong Kong/Taiwan rom or Greater China rom...

Seems to be more polished compared to JPO. Swype doesn't lag. I haven't had any of the wifi issues people are reporting.
I've lagfixed via trasig's kernel, which has Voodoo RC1, and it's pretty good for now.

How is the Battery Performance?

Yes, has anyone who has had the sensor usage issue noticed an improvement with this build? Ive flashed my phone 4 times this weekend, bit too tired to try it again as i need it all working and setup for work tomorrow

yh they can create this themselves. I think you should add some of your own features and cook your own rom rather than pregenerate a rom that people can do on their own. Good thinking though . even better you can use jv1 instead of js7 as your base starting ROM because JV1 is Gingerbread 2.3.2 and runs much better although keep in mind its a leaked beta so their MIGHT be problems but personally i havent faced any yet.

Ok - maybe you can work on adding Hindi font support to a non-DDJP6/JG4 ROM.
I briefly had a look at the problem yesterday and have pinned it down to libskia*.so (i.e. the DDJP6/JG4 version of the lib seems to support DroidHindi.ttf while the other ROMs don't). Possibly libwebcore.so needs replacement / modification too.
Might be possible to just push libs from DDJP6 to other ROMs to get it to work - I have not tried it yet though.

[Q] what is the best ROM for X8 available now?

I'm lost in choosing a ROM for my new phone ,I wanna know what is the best and most completed ROM for X8
hy, i think, if you wanna replace the stock rom, choose racht's latest rom. For me, jerelpea's rom reboots after locking the screen every minunte, while, in use it doesnt.

im using miniCM - RC1 and everything works perfect for me, so i'm satisfied
none of these roms are fully stable, if we are lucky the new libaudio will fix the most of the bugs. I usually use skype, and it doesnt work on any of these roms, so i wait for the fix.

No way libaudio will fix reboot issues. They are totally unrelated. A custom kernel will though

sorry then. i read it in racht's thread, but it looks like libaudio is just causes skype crashes.
i think 2.2 ROM based is the most stable for daily use. i've installed the latest ROM for 2.3.3 and i restore back my 2.1 because lots of bug. too many reboots. the most stable ROM for me is :
Floyo 0.15
MiniCM for X8
thanks for replying guys , I have installed Floyo-0.15 and it was perfect but I found that it doesn't support Arabic keyboard ,
anyone have a solution for this problem before trying MiniCM or restoring to the 2.1 stock ROM ????
floyo n minicm are the best so far.
right now I'm on floyo with mod on system/app.
usually I try cm7 2.3 racht n jerpelea Saturday to Monday.

Most Stable Stock/Custom ROM [Poll added]

Hello all, this is my first post and I have some queries. As we all know the new Samsung firmware JP2 has many bugs like Swype not working, Battery draining very fast etc. I want to know which is most stable ROM which doesn't have these problems.
I don't want to try any custom ROM because of overclocked processor as it will short it's life and void the warranty. I am thinking to flash the JPN ROM but though to get advice before doing anything. I hope it won't have any effect if I use European firmware as I am from India. I am currently using JP6.
I think you should be using Kyrillos' ROM. It's very stable.
Opt for a non-overclocked custom, you won't regret it If you really want to stay using stock roms, i'd suggest JPM/JPN.

Try the new European release....XWJPF. Its a very stable rom. And no bugs. I am from india too. Its working flawless on my galaxy 3.
DDJG6>DDJP2>Kryillos 4.1>XWJPF
Using Kitchen v1.0 to create a new ROM with your feature do you want.

I'm testing it. Let's go with me.
customs are a balance and trade off
well stock ROM may be the most stable but from my experience of experimentations with different roms, and i've tried many roms, if you are thinking of intalling many applications then stock roms are just useless as you would get blank/black screens too often in the stock Tw launcher as the applications try to load from SD card, where you will have to install them for want of space. so if you want to try lot of applications you will have to go for a custom rom with ext2/ext4 support. after trying many custom roms i've finally stopped at POX v 1.0 non oc. Its silky smooth and thats after installation of more than 43 third party apps/games, though you will have to live with some minor glitches which you wont mind. Yes stay away from OC versions as they drain your battery and freeze your phone. The hardware (processor) structure if galaxy3 if not designed for overclocking though it may be overclocked.
XWJPF + go launcher ex
perfect combination..no lags blazingly fast
(oh yes i,ve also rooted my phone and have set cpu.. , so maybe thats y..still XWJPF...no problems)
i have JPM and thinking of moving to XWJPN.
how is it that JPM is pre-rooted if it is official samsung firmware?
I think you should be using Kyrillos' ROM too. It's very stable.
Samsung engineers aren't idiots or fools.. JP2 is d most stable ROM for this phone. I have used custom roms and trust me..there ain't any ROM more stable.

Then i think you should try using the latest European firmware, XWJPF. Its far better than DDJP2. Trust me.
Lol JP2 has many bugs including battery draining issue. How come it is more stable?
Confused between multiple opinions. Might add a poll soon.
If you were to use custom roms, use the Non oc version by Kyrillos. From all the roms that i have tried (there have been many), i have found Kyrillos to be the best.
If you were to use regular Firmwares, the best i believe is either JPF or JPM. A lot of them out there still support JPF, while the constant flashers would recommend the JPM
BTW...Kyrillos is based on JPM
XXJPM by Kyrillos, safe flash and very stable
No worries, I think I have the perfect solution for you... In a few minutes I'll be posting my ROM, which is exactly what you need - because I made this ROM for I had the same problems as you!
Also, I'm writing this, coz I want to post it in the development section but I need 10 posts for that...
There are a lot of ROMs and as far as I see, you should try more then one, because everybody likes a different version...
Yeah, so here I am again. Uploaded, you might even try it - see if the problems go away!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1079052
Now don't mind using any custom ROM if it is stable and good to use.
Poll added just to solve some confusion between multiple choices.
InDroid
InDroid v4 looks good n is going to be released soon
i would prefer non OC as it is more stable but u can look for OC as well!
Allthough I use my own custom ROM, I vote for Kyrillos's ROM because it's very stable and fast. I use it for a long period and I was very pleased.
Kyrillos ROM is not only stable, but gives you the choise of OC or Non OC capability!

[ROM] BUJV9

Does it include JVO modem or a newer one?
EDIT: by the FUS url it looks like a new one
BUJP5 was a great modem for me. Would someone be so kind as to post BUJV9?
**Simply Honey3.5, GTO beta6 kernel 1.3ghz, JVO modem**
Here you go mate .
Seems to be working fine here. Maybe even more stable than JVK, as I haven't had any dropouts yet in my room (which has really really ****ty reception lol). Bit too early to tell though.
EDIT: oh here we go, lost signal again . Stupid house!
Thanks for that on jvo now and with vodafone Australia. So hopefully this will work a treat.
**Simply Honey3.5, GTO beta6 kernel 1.3ghz, JVO modem**
Hmmm, just flashed the JV9 modem and on my phone it shows up as BUJV3 - not the expected 9.. Signal strength has gone up so hopefully it's all good (compared to BUJP5) on Simply Honey 3.3.

recommend a rom

after becoming fustrated with the lack of a update for north/latin america, ive decided to flash my phone. Im currently on jh2 and its working really well without problems. Ive download jpm to flash but not sure if it will work as its a european rom and also been hearing recently it has a few bugs like the battery showing an incorrect percentage.
So can any1 tell me if it will work/recommend me one that will.
Well i can tell you one thing - you will be getting lots of advises !
However, first you might try the latest Canadian Firmware which was released last week since that seems to be the closest stock ROM you can get for North America
P.S. - You might check THIS THREAD too...

I've installed indroid 4.2 and it's a really nice rom. The only thing until now that's not working is the gps. It takes really long time to get a fix. And when i get a fix, my google navigation crashes. In indroid 3 it was working perfectly.
Thanks for all the responses guys. As this is my first time flashing ill stick with stock. I have the the jpm without bootloader files so ill give it a go.
Btw anyone know if its recommended to remove your sim and sd when flashing or optional.
use stock JPM most of the custom roms are stock modded and nothing special..
Use stock and your own ****ty tweaks which is a lot better !
I recommend cyanogemod....Marcellusbe is working on that. It will be great if he finishes it.
try Destiny Based on JPN, and its fully stable.
I recommand the Kyrillos'ROM 5.5
It's the more stable and battery saver rom i've ever tried !

Even the indroid developers respond very quick and to the point. Rudolf is awesome. @everyone: go for indroid 4.3
Hi
My preference is:
Kyrillos 5.7 JPM-based with Fugumod 2.2 Bleeding Edge kernel OC 1300mHz
Most stable ROM I've used, quick responses and no FC so far (only been using again for 8 days but hey all the others I tried would FC a few times a day). I love it!
Switched to Indroid for a while and it is good but went back to Kyrillos as I prefer it.
Ive finally flashed (jpm). I just couldnt wait anymore. Everthing seems to be working good thus far, Thanks for all the help.
for american roms try stock DTLKDA or rafo's ROM those are the only ones I know for america I am currently on Rafo's Rom and its very stable btw I am new to this forum
I would recommend using team lambent kitchen and creating your own personal rom. I'm using jpq with g3 v1.32 lite for extra stability. G3 has a ram script built into it already so just remember not to install the ram hack performance mod.
