Kernel for Wi-fi tether to work?

I have the stupidfast kernel v1.1.4 installed on the super clean ROM and I am trying to get the wifi tether to work but having no luck. Anyone out there get it working? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That seemed to do the trick! TYVM!!! Now I can use this for my new Galaxy Tab! YAY!!!

[Q] vega & barnacle wifi tether

hello,
I have x10i (froyo cm 6.1.3 by wolfbreak - no native tethering due to closed bootloader) and advent vega.
the only solution for wifi tether I know of, is barnacle wifi tether.
the problem is, that my advent vega (cm7 with corvus kernel) is not able to connect to hotspot made by barnacle wifi tether on my x10.
it sees the network, but than no connection is made.

I have been trying the cm7 hc rom courtesy of mad murdock. I ran barnacle on my htc magic qnd was able to connect my vega and download data that way. Hope thos helps.

its beacuse barnacel sets up and ad hoc network. you need a patch that you flash to make it work. i found it over at modoco somewhere

I installed rachts floyo v1.0 yesterday and i can find my wifi network but when im connected and access the browser or even try any app that needs the wifi will not work any ideas?

i am using defy Running on CM9 nightely build-120413.
wifi hotspot doesnt work. when i click turn on wifi hotspot, it says turning mobile hotspot on and nothing happens. is this problem common for all defy users on my build n will this resolve if i update to later builds? or is this a problem with my phone?
p.s however, i used to hotspot when i had Defy running on official froyo.
any help would be thanked n appreciated.

If you are using Eppy's ics then I would recommend you go with the latest nightly

Try "WiFi Tether" you can download from play shop.

I have the same problem Running it on JB and just like it did on ICS it just sticks to TURNING WiFi ON (or off)

Try wifi theter for root user.

X8 and tablet

I have GingerDX v026 on my X8. On tablet I have android 4.0.3 and I would like to use my phone as a 3G modem to my tablet.
Is there any way to do this?
I`ve tride to use USB tether but its not working, same as Barnacle Wifi Tether.

i suppose you did not read the section name. first read the name and then try to tether
