Video Problems - G Tablet Android Development

I've been using CyanogenMod 6.1 Beta4 for a bit now and really like it. Got flash to work but will not play any of my videos either on stock player or media players from the market. The videos are all mp4s converted from handbrake and they all play on my stock Nexus 1. They're saved to my external SD card. Help?
Thanks
Rick

I believe that cm6.1 is not hardware optimized (yet). Tmk, it's a known issue.

2 topics: Sirius Radio & streaming mp4 videos

1) Anyone know if Sirius has addressed when the 2.2 ready app will be ready?
2) The mp4 videos that are recorded from my Windows Media Center tv tuner on my computer all seem to be jittery and audio syncing problems when playing off EVO sd card. I have tried the stock video app, rockplayer, doubletwist, mixzing, and arcMedia; and they all are glitchy, audio problems. Is it simply that the files are too big? I dont know if it is a 2.2 problem b/c never tried playing them on 2.1.
try converting them with handbrake, the evo isn't as powerful as you think

[Q] Problems after NAND flash

I decided to try some NAND builds but didn't like them because .flac music files could no longer be played and most video files too, or the subtitles would not show, so i reverted back to FroyoStone Sense - V3.2. Now the problem is that now these same problems are still there. I used mixzing to play my flac files, now it isn't registering them as music files at all. As for the video i used combination of rock player and vplayer. On both a lot of videos wont play at all, or if they do the picture is choppy and they lag a lot. Also it used to be possible to play video files with hardware mode on rock player now it isn't. If anyone has any ideas as to what may be causing these problems i would appreciate it.

FLAC playback?

I heard a while back that Android 3.1 was supposed to include native support for FLAC playback, but today when I attempted to play .flac files from an external hard drive and a microSD card, most of the songs refuse to play, with it saying "Error playing selected track." The files play just fine in Rhythmbox on Linux Mint 10 and foobar2000 in Windows 7.
Has anybody else tried this? It seems FLAC support is somewhat incomplete or broken, and that the TF may require very specific settings on the encoding for the files to play correctly. I've occasionally had issues like this before on a few music player applications in Linux and Windows, and I'm just wondering if I'm going to need to re-encode most of my music collection in order for it to play.
By the way, I can confirm that I can get working FLAC playback by running the problem files through Sound Converter in Linux Mint, using the default .flac settings. It's just a pain to do that, especially with a large collection of files.
Try another player from the market, for example poweramp (claims to support flac)?

There is a player in Market that claims to play flacs but it doesn't work for me. I didn't found a way to play them. Frustrating.
The FLAC on my microSD finally showed up in the stock player after I did a factory reset. I am still on leaked 3.1. They play fine. It's a slick interface. FLAC with MoboPlayer required turning on an expermental feature (soft decode), but then worked.
Would be nice to have DLNA supported by stock player though.

For Dlna, you can use Plex for android and see how that works for you.
It appears support for Flac was added to 3.1? I can play my flacs now in WinAmp (but the stock player doesn't see them). Sound quality on my stereo is not bad but a little muddy (in comparison with my old SB Live!). I hope one day Android will work with USB sound cards (or maybe HDMI sound output could be used... hm...).

Video formats?

Going to finally get around to putting some videos on my tab. I just wondered what format was best? Do you guys use the stock video player? Probably will mostly be anime stuff and am planning on just converting with Sony Vegas.
Any help would be great!
the best format for the tab seems to be mp4, but I play 720p mkv files fine too, including over wireless. The stock video player won't cut it so you should get a better player. There's plenty on the android market, mx player and mobo player are free, dice player is not. I use mx and it works fine.
I haven't yet found a format that BSPlayer won't play fantastically Plus it's free, so there's no reason not to IMHO...just remember it'll ask you to install a plugin first time round - install whichever one it asks you too, that'll improve performance as it will use hardware decoding
Change your video format to mp4 with a xivd or dvix code, you will find it so cool in this tab. This format support 1080p video.
This tab is weak with h.264 code.
Thanks to all you guys got it working great with Bsplayer!

I used to be able to play a version of Cars2 transcoded to MP4 on 4.1.1. Now the video plays but without sound on 4.1.2. I'm using Daroon player.
never mind, forgot daroon was updated to wondershare. video works great in wondershare
