Re-rooted DI18 with One-Click and now updating. It is patching modem and boot files.
Booting up now...
Firmware: 2.2.1
Kernal: FROYO.DK28
Baseband:2.6.32.9
It is FROYO!
Need to download screen capture.

YESSSSSS FINNALY. tHANK YOU SAMSUNG. CHRISTMAS IS EARLY THIS YEAR. SOME ONE MAKE A ROOTED VERSION DEOXED PLEASE!!!!
Post a dump of your /system, and a kernel then. A screenshot alone means nothing, since you can just edit your build.prop.
How to dump system:
Code:
adb pull /system C:\DK28
How to dump the kernel:
Code:
adb shell
su
dd if=/dev/block/bml7 of=/sdcard/zImage
The one click root should still work.
Can someone please confirm this? I can't restore a nandroid backup due to the stupid battery percent mod, and if I go back to D118 and this ends up being a hoax I dont want to have to hunt jsinger down.

will i be able to install this manually like i did the leaked .3 version or will it mess up my phone
Engadget
I just read this on Engadget, I have to say I give HTC and Sprint a lot of credit for under promising and over delivering in my opinion. I absolutely love this phone and to know that both the carrier and the manufacturer are fully behind supporting the phone after launch is a great relief! I never hear of companies doing anything early or at least on time when it comes to software updates...I'm pleasantly surprised!

You can't reinstall apps with titanium that you deleted, at least I think not..
Use odin to go back to stock. You really shouldn't be messing with things there if you don't know what your doing

I've never seen EA28 ODIN files anywhere. You can ODIN to DI01, DL09, and stock EB01. Probably meant DL09. EA28 only came out as an OTA update.
firmware 2.2.1
baseband ED01
kernal2.6.32.9
build ED01
So who's doing a system dump?
Manual ED01 download links and update instructions for those who don't have the update available or want to download it and play with it first.

Yup, thats all you need to do.
If I'm on gingerblur can I just use RSd lite? Is everything going to erase?
I'm on GreyBlur 2.1. Will this work?
I'm pretty sure this is a complete wipe and reinstall so your phone will be just like when you first turned it on after unboxing.
Gingerblur and Greyblur are not compatible with 1.83 so your best bet is to flash and root and wait for an updated version or just wait and see if there is an easier upgrade method...
EDIT:
Just went through with it.... All my apps are still there, gingerblur theme/tweaks are obviously gone with all the stock moto stuff back like the dialer, keyboard, and some bloatware.
