I've had a quick search but cant seem to find anything. So thought I would ask.
When using android the green status LED at the top of the HD2 keeps blinking. A bit like when you get a message in WM. Is this normal or have I set something up wrong.
Using darkstone release with latest cotulla zimage.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
It is a "feature" since the last zimage. i think it will be fixed with a zimage in the future.
superb work, thank you all devs
Its to attract the attention of the iphone users.... in morse code its say "Look at me I can run more than one task, and more than one operating system!"
It's a shame it doesnt project a big neon sign above it saying the same!
Isn't this how most WM devices used to be? (Not exactly sure, as the TP2 was my first WM device. Perhaps someone more experienced could step in.)
I think their LEDs would constantly blink to show the phone was on.
Maybe it's the same thing.
I have the same problem (with the same ROM). Also the key pad lights stay on also. Not that bothered by it because the awesomeness of Android/froyo outweighs any negatives!

Yes, it lets you know that the thing hasn't locked up as well!

You can avoid the keypad lights to stay on with the following:
When your phone is shut down turn it on.
When windows is booted never press a button from the keypad!
Go to your sd card and android folder and start calcid.exe and haret.exe.
Now the keypad shouldn´t turn on the lights!
Thanks for the help. I've had my phone running android for a few hours and now the blinking LED has stopped. So now I'm very confused but oh well not major issue.
Keep up the good work devs. I'm going to donate by not sure who to donate too yet lol!

There is this problem that i seem to be having that i cannot find any information on at all, i mean i have seached the forums several times and no one seems to be having the same problem as me
Basicly every now and again when i hit the power key to bring the phone screen back on it will sort of glitch and turn into a sort of negative look, you know the kind of effect you can set the camera to do, it looks like that and i cant remove it without a reboot and its getting a bit annoying, i just thought maby someone could help me
I am using the new shubcraft 1.4c and maxsenseui energy rom for WM. And i might as well ask if there has been any solution to the screen not coming on straight away when i press the key to wake it up, it doesnt ever sod but it does not come on straight away and sometimes i have to hit the power key several times to get it on but thats no show stopper whereas my main problem is pretty annoying. Thanks for any help in advanced and thanks to all of you guys that made android on HD2 possible
Cheers Dane.

I think the 'slow' wakeup is a known issue... I think
As for the negative efect, I got the same thing a few times, but it all seemed to stop after I started using mskip's bootloader....coincidence, maybe but its worth a try.

No worries,... as i said, the bootloader may not have been what fixed it for me, it may have just been coincidence... but I know I have had far less problems and not a single WSOD since using the bootloader....
Good luck

Thanks alot Ah i love XDA such a nice bunch of people, would never get that level of tech support in a 3 shop lol !
I have this happening randomly at times, but very rare at think twice
now in a span of 2 weeks. It happened even after I stopped using
Android loaders (ie., mskip) (every time I make a fresh test, I HR winmo, format my sd card then start a fresh) as i said it is very rare
and occurrence is difficult to attribute to anything in particular
Before my actual WinMob ROM I had this effects a few times, now I haven't had it for about a week... Chuckys ROM has a "build-in" Android-loader, works fine for me...
This happened to me yesterday
I pressed the power button a few times in quick succession with a press of the home button thrown in somewhere for good measure.
I should learn to be more patient and let the screen come on
Im also using Mskips loader so can confirm this doesnt stop the issue
it happened to me once when i was using old kernals it also happened on windows mobile , but with new kernals it works fine
solved with frantic key presses

Hi,
Imilka reported on this saying it was only a glitch. Just reboot and don't worry about it.
Its happened to me a few times, mainly when I disconnect my charger.
Flashed from my fingers to your face
Hi,
many people still claim there isn't such a problem but there IS:
After ending a call the screen stays off and can't be turned on again. Hardwarekeys don' t do anything.
Only option: Hold the phone in bright light or take battery out -.-
I tried the most popular roms here (NAND&SD)
In WinMo everything works fine.
So here i want to show that not only i but many others suffer by this issue.
Hopefully some real CHEFS/Devs realize this.
Making tons of senseless customisations and graphics tweaks isn't enough to be a real Dev...

this really helps! But now the screen stys on all the time, must be careful not to end the call by touching the screen XD... But it's better than having a blocked phone.
But still the issue itself isn't solved ...
You could try http://www.xda-developers.com/android/proximity-sensor-re-calibrator-for-desire-hd/ this?
yes tried this already before, thanks, but didn't work.
I know this problem sounds weird to those who don't have this issue but it's real (i'm not crazy XD) The hardware is also working correctly as on WinMo everythiong's fine
I'm been having this problem since my first rom. I actually thought it was just my phone. It drives me crazy, as I found that plugging it in gets the screen to return. Very annoying!

Hi!
With my HTC HD2, whenever I try to, for instance, type a message, the keyboard on my HD2 barely reacts or hits the wrong key. Installing a swype-like keyboard like TouchPal may solve this but for some apps like games this may get an issue later on.
I'm running tytung's NexusHD2 v2.3-HWA, which runs fine (thanks!). Just this issue.
No idea if this also occurs in WM6.5, but not going to switch back just to check that
How can this be fixed?
Aside from that, is there any way to speed up the ROM? It's fast enough as of now but speed is always useful
Thanks!
Was am issue with my ROM, flashed another one and now it works fine!
Sent from my HD2 using xda app-developers app
Try disabling the keypress vibration or sound when typing. It helps ALOT for me.
same problem for me
i had the same issue with ROM,after flashing to another one it works great
In the future, just run a ROM from SD and see if that changes things, that way you don't lose your current ROM.
But yeah glad you fixed it
From an SD card it's even worse, lmao

Most likely you won't be able to fix this(unless you replace digitizer, but it's not 100% solution!).
Sometimes, it's true very rarely, some HD2 hardware is not fully compatible with android(more often touchscreen function related!), but could be fully working on WM.
Even it seems a bit hassle, you should flash a WM and see what happens!
Thanks for your reply.
It works fine now, so I am not going to fiddle around anymore

No, myMIUI works better than the other ROMs. WM6.5 sucks, I'd never switch back to that
@bib*oops: Sure.
long story short i went from an old GB to an ICS. didn't care too much for it so i went back to this one. loved it but i noticed that when i went to reboot none of the options worked. also then noticed that it would freeze at other times too and the only way to get unstuck was to put it to lock the screen and unlock it.
thinking it was the rom i switched again to this one just a trial and error. well its doing it on this one too. but now i can't even unlock the screen.
unless im missing something, i am doing all this through cwm and doing a data wipe and cache wipe each time.
what else can i try to get everything rectified
edit: and no, my digitizer is not broken as it has worked for well over 2 years as well as when i had the ICS rom up until the past weekend!
But the digitizer can brick from one moment to the other. In my case, i flashed miui and my digitizer was broken after that. Before that all was fine.
What i did to find that out, was to reset the phone completly. What means, back to WM 6.5. It's just an idea to do another trial and error. If it doesn't work in WM 6.5 u're digitizer is nearly to 100% broken.
Sorry for my bad english. May i could help u

pls change the rom to gingerbread.....use asop roms i.e. non sense roms for less freezing specially when unlocking screen freeze...currently ics hardware acceraltion under some issue the xda members are working hard to come issues...wait for a stable daily use ics build release..........all ics rom are beta hence no hardware video codecs etc.....dont doubt your screen it works well ,,,my htc is 1.5yrs old it is fine.. dont doubt your digitalizer..it is fine ...only your kernels in rom make this error ..
i personal recommand to go with stable cm7 base builds...for better battery life and stablity...

every time i hold the power button in to reboot/turn off it hangs. i can't choose any of the options. if i hit the back arrow it removes the options screen but is still hung. i can hit the power button to black the screen but then i have to wait about 10 seconds to unlock it. if i try right away its still hung. but if i wait the 10 seconds or so it seems to be fine.
i know its not a big deal since i rarely reboot/power off. and now that i have that app it works.

ok full fledged lock up this time. had to yank the battery.
could there be something still lingering on the system even after i did a wipe of the data/cache? im not opposed to reinstalling the rom if theres something else i can run to wipe it further.
also after booting back up it reverted to monday june 18 8:32 am!

Hey, whilst it's great that you're trying to help, this is fundamentally wrong. This is an opinion based question but you're stating this as fact, which is misinformation and could cause confusion. Please choose your wording more carefully as the majority of ICS users DON'T have issues and I find it a tonne more stable than GB. Also overuse of emoticons

Since you say you aren't opposed to reinstalling the ROM, try that. If that doesn't work, try WinMo. I'm inclined to agree with Kameirus here, it sounds like a digitizer issue, and you shouldn't rule it out as a possibility just yet. Installing WinMo should be able to tell you whether or not this is your problem.

well i am on reinstall #2 of this exact rom. like i said since going to ICS a couple weeks ago this is my 4th rom within said 2/3 weeks. even up to the install of ICS i have had zero digitizer problems.
can i install winmo from cwm? if so does anyone have a link so i can give it a whirl?
ok reinstall #3 of that rom. this time it acted like the first time i installed it. the touch screen was responsive when choosing the options for installation.
the only thing i did was flash CWM 150mb instead of the 400mb i think was on there. not sure if that had anything to do with it but at least i would eliminate it.
ok up and running. i won't do any updates and see how it acts.
HA! well that didn't take long where's that winmo rom i can try out LOL!

Provided you have the right ROM for your device type (i.e. a TMOUS) then yes, it would work fine. I find his guides very good actually, much more noob-friendly than some of the ones here on XDA (general statement, not trying to say you're a noob or anything)
