Ill have to try hulu.com when I get to the house where I get 4g,,,but I use netflix from work all the time no problem. It does buffer for 2-3mins,but after that its smooth, quality will try to shift to HD when I get a great signal, but I disable HD so I dont get interruptions...Ill get back to you in about 8 hours.

Are you trying to download them over wifi? Apparently sprint doesn't like that, try it on 3g

This. Sprint's MMS server is not accessible over the public internet, thus you must download on 3G.
Most Sprint phones will automatically run the data transfer over 3G (without manually turning off/on wifi), not the Epic though.
That said, many of the custom ROMs resolve this issue (including Heroic, which I run).
Thank you sooo much to all that replied.. because that's was the problem. I had my wifi on.. I guess its time to get a custom rom..

Anyone else with this problem?

Have you tried Barnacle?
Do you BONSAI?
You're not trying to play games online through your phone's connection are you? Cause if so you will fail miserably.
Not sure, but I don't think the PS3 can connect in ad-hoc mode. Are you sure you're using an app that supports infrastructure mode, and is configured to operate that way?
Every one I've ever used has operated in ad-hoc mode...

I have tried barnacle without success. I did manage to finally get wireless tether working through the default wireless tether app that comes with asc roms.
Now all I have to do is improve my 4g signal strength. Thinking about overclocking a tower or two. ;p

**HERES HOW TO TETHER YOUR DATA TO YOUR PS3**
First you must tether to your laptop (if you have one). Then what you do is get an ethernet cable (cheap on ebay) and hook it from your laptop to your PS3.
Then you have to share your data from your laptop to your PS3. I can't say exactly how to do it on your laptop cause I don't know what kind you have so you will have to look up how to share your internet connection from your laptop to other devices.
Thats pretty much the short explanation. Look up on youtube "how do i tether to ps3" and you will see exactly what to do. Thats how I figured it out
My wifi is playing up really bad I used speedtest and got 4mb but when I try to use The web browser it won't load any pages any sugestions

I agree with this post completely. Netflix is a bandwidth HOG. I think you could easily hit any cap if you streamed the app regularly. That along with other normal data usage like Pandora streaming &, web browsing/downloading.

No, WoW's data use is relatively trivial compared to, well, almost anything else you might be doing that uses your internet connection short of simple vanilla web browsing. Forget Netflix, just looking at YouTube or listening to Pandora will completely eclipse anything WoW uses.
Now, if he's *PATCHING* WoW over his tethered 3g connection, that's a different story. Playing WoW, however, is a pretty minor bandwidth use.

Agreed! Thats why I think in time the caps will rise after more and more people start hitting caps using normal apps like Netflix, Pandora, and You-Tube. People are in bed with their service providers believing that its other users that kill the bandwidth using hot spots, tethering, and gaming. When that's not the case. Normal apps that are included in the phone are what eats up bandwidth.
I was just curious how hard it would be to get around it. Thanks!!!

I tried it on my galaxy s3 using t-mobile hot spot and it kept redirecting my me to sign up for the hot spot plan. However, I did use a different WiFi router app and was able to tether. I am rooted btw.
Tether did not work with my S3, but does with my G2 and current S2's Did not get a chance to try a different rom on the S3 before sale tho so not sure about that.

Probably a stupid question on XDA, but are you rooted and running custom roms on your S2s? I'm interested if anyone has tried this on stock firmware with one of thee non-root tethering apps. I would test myself but I can't remember the last time I had a phone with stock firmware.

Yep I used both the s2 and s3 sucessfully.....
There is also another topic explaining another method of replacing ur apn in the general subforum of the tmobile s3
As for the s2 there is threads for apns and then for user agents
Live throws a code stating that some items may not be available but playing and netflix green light
Updates you have to dl on ur pc then transfer it to ur xbox by disc, etc storage medium
I have also changed my dns servers but I can still use tmobiles dns and do both
I use to have a full live experience until the last 360 update and now something borked....nebody have ideas? Lol
So I should have no problem using my sensation as a hotspot to power my roku box to stream Netflix to my t.v. right? Thanks!!!
