[Q] Wireless Tether HELP!!!! PLEASE!!!! - Epic 4G General

ok i have wi-fi tether on my epic 4g and i get up to 3.68mbps on 4g when browsing the internet and downloading files. HOWEVER when im trying to watch videos for example on hulu.com or southparkstudios.com when the page is contanstly using the internet i only get up to 800kbs 100-300kbps being the regular so the videos buffer like evey 5 to 10 secondds and its so goddamn annoying. is there a problem with my tether??? cuz ive done it on 2.1 and 2.2 custom and stock roms and its all the same result. any help?advise?suggestions?? thank u!!!

Are you sure u're connected to your 3G network?
why is youtube so slow on 3g???

iv tryed a few different ones
iv tryed all from X1 programs, panels, tweaks, fixes [COLLECTION]
Tweaks which are posted on the fourum, they all work gr8 on wifi but all too slow on 3g.
I think you are jusing the htc youtube app.. try to change the quality from high to low this should work..
tryed it mate still really slow what have you installed on yours and does it buffer or play smooth?
I've been meaning to address this as well. Whne i connect using 3g, for any form of a connection(youtube or interent in general) I have a slower connection than i do when on hspda. Any ideas why this may be?
well probably cause the 3g icon is plain umts, and hspda is way faster than regular umts, more than double the speed sometimes, its more like 3.5g so when theres an H instead of an 3G you should get blazing speeds.
on H or 3g its never been at blazing speeds its good enough to brows on the net for but not for youtube its way too slow

Am I the only one to nitice this, or is it just me or my phone?

I have a T-Mobile HD2 (was the first person in line and got it first here in Nashville). And out of the box it was able to tether to my cradlepoint in my truck on the way home. I finially called tech support last night and here is what they said.
"It works and they dont offer supprt for tethering."
Well, if I use my mobile browser and do a speed test, I get up to 3 megs down, which is 3G and great... But if I tether or use ICS or the WiFi Router functions, I am now only getting 300k up and down. Is there some setting to give the tethering the same speeds and just useing the phone to surf the web?
I have read alot here and even used the "dearmasfamily Internet Speed Boost" cab and still the tethering is very slow compared to just useing the phones browser. Any ideas or is this just a sad issue for my phone?
The stock rom did this, I have tried other roms, and am currently using the Energy ROM which came out April 1st.
Thanks in advance for any help with this issue.

[Q] Odd youtube problem.

Hello,
Im getting a weird youtube problem on my hd2 w/wp7. This happens on any video longer than 1min 20ish sec. It will start and play a video fine, but it will stop playing at around 1:18 min:sec or so. Its like it just doesnt bother to finish downloading. But if its connected to wifi, it will play the entire video.
With good 3g signal, Ill get around 900kb/s dl speeds.
I have tried several youtube apps including lazyworm and HTC.
Im running green mango w/ market place, but this has happened to every rom ive tried.
Im on giffgaffs network (o2) and I have unlimited downloads. I also have asked them if they throttle youtube at all and they said no. They said to try to erase any apn/proxy settings i have, but I dont have any settings under apn.
Thanks or looking and any help is much appreciated!
Chris.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem or have any ideas??

3G Problems

Hey all.
Iv been following xda for awhile now... im loving my SG2 but I have some trouble with my 3G.... I use it to tether to my laptop and noticed browsing speeds etc will be fast then go really slow then fast again as if it looses the signal... even browsing and using anything to do with the net, even downloaded apps... it will download fast then suddenly slow down and speed up again... and sometimes I cant download apps at all because it doesn't even start...
BTW: Im on LeoMar75 2.6 XXKH3 and on Optus Network, I have tried other versions of LeoMar, MIUI, CM7 and others...
Can someone assist me, maybe have seen this problem else where.

T-Mobile Tethering Issue

Hello Everyone!
Now I know what you're thinking;
"Not another tethering thread! Use Google/Search function! SMH" etc, etc
Well, I did, but I couldn't find someone who had my same problem. So, here it is;
Since the beginning of the year, I was able to successfully tether my phone on my unlimited plan at full speed with no issues. I've never hit an upsell page and still haven't to this day. That's not the issue I'm having. The issue I'm having is that for some reason, downloads are extremely slow. I'm talking like 20kbps slow. This is a relatively new problem that cropped up within the past few weeks and it is really irking me to no end. Web pages and YouTube videos will load nice and fast, but whenever I download something, it starts off fast but then all of the sudden slows down to a crawl. Why is this? Is there anything I can do to fix it? It doesn't matter if I use WiFi tethering or USB tethering, it's all the same.
ROM: ParanoidAndroid 3.99 RC2
Kernel: Franco Kernel
Radio: .33/.84 Hybrid Radio
You really shouldn't download too much on tether. T-Mobile monitors traffic every second and knows when you're downloading a file from your phones browser or a tethered device.
