Is any one else getting slow speeds over 4G?, this is with full bars by the way.

lucky you, im getting .23Mbps on 4g and 500k on 3g but 3g seems to be down for me right now
Same here, I think it is PRI related.
I got 2300+ the other day but 4G is unofficial here, the city is actually testing it for there new emergency systems and the police department. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

I was getting consistent 7mbit speed tests on 4g with 1.34 PRI.
Sent from my Evo running CM6.
I've been consistantly getting 8-9mbps on 2-3 bars of 4G.
Where do you find the speeds at? Do I need to download an app for that?

Thought so. Thanks.
Is there a way to update your pri without running a custom ROM or rooting?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
I get at least 4.5mbps down and 1mbps up on 3 bars 4g. Upload seems to be definitely limited at 1mbps. 1 bar 4g usually gets me 1.5mbps down and 1mbps up. This is in the Baltimore region.

If you don't do these 2 things than you don't have an old PRI in the first place...
Now that Boston has FINALLY Got Sprint 4G what is everyone take on its data speeds? I'm waiting for my EVO 4G and Epic 4G to come in. I ordered them last week and cant wait to see what the speeds are. I was shocked to find out that a friend of mine was able to get Vonage working using the Sprint 4G network.
I'm getting 9mbps consistently in Cambridge.
6mbps all the way down in Quincy
JAson
8.9 in norwood
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
3.43 mbps in lawrence, i can barely hold the signal though
In Quincy i am getting between 5mbs and i hit 11 at the Thomas Crane Public Library. Pretty sweet if you ask me.

My normal 3g is about 700kb down.
I got into a 4g outside Chicago and just hit 5.5Mbps! Very nice...
Sent from my PG06100 using XDA App
I usually get around 700 down on 3G, 4G can be anywhere from 7 to 10 down.
Edit* just tested 220 kbps down and 17 kbps upload that was 3G
4G was 2000 kbps(2 mbps right?) And 25 kbps upload I hate Sprint in my town
Wow zero I wish my download speed would be over 500 kbps down and more than 20 kbps up lmao its been like this for months on 4 g with fair signal I get 1 mbps and its every evo on my plan getting that crappy service

Sounds good, there's no doubt that the data issues have been improved in a lot of areas.
Hasn't made its way to Jax yet, lol.

Chicago 3G speeds also took that same jump bout 4 months ago...
4G has also really improved just recently...not so much that's its faster, but signal remains much more consistantly.
Am much happier.
Lucky you. My 3G is still as fast as a frozen glacier.
Edit: Even you previous 700-800 kb speeds are 3 times faster than what I get.

I have the latest PRL, but the "amazing roaming speeds" are because you are running off of Verizon towers when you're roaming.......it has nothing to do with Sprint.
Edit: Also, I don't want to force the phone to roam on Verizon in any way. Hopefully some of whatever you're getting comes my way sooner than later.

Yea im also getting like 5-6mbps down on 4g before it was like 3-3.5
My 3G speeds in Orlando are kinda slow. Roaming or not, they are actually a little slower when roaming. So I just use 4G as often as I possibly can.

Yeah figured 3G would pick up when customers are jumping ship. hahahahahahah
MY speeds in Jacksonville (Right along the line of ST Augustine) has increased GREATLY! My speeds went from 50-80 kpbs to 1800-220 kbps DL. And about 10 kbps upload, now 550 (on average). It's great! Beats Verizon's speed @ my house (tested w/ a friend's HTC Eris).

There is a great deal of work being done on a great many of the Florida sites to improve speed, capacity and overall experience. Glad its being noticed.

Oh, ok.....I must have misunderstood what you typed earlier.
My max speeds when roaming hit 250 kbps, because when you roam, Verizon only shares their 2G (not 3G) speeds.
i'm in melbourne ,has anyone else noticed they can connect to wi
max?????running decks 2.3.4 and cm7 both upon booting automatically start 4 g and to my surpise lately it connects but gives different I.P. addresses.anyone else???

I'm able to get 3G roaming on Verizon. It's also double the speeds of sprint. I am using PRl 01115. it's nice

Yes indeed VZW 3g is nice. Sprint in Louisiana is horrible...20 kilobit to 50 kilobits for me. Data is useless unless I force roam.
My speeds in Tallahassee were great for about the first 4-6 months of owning the phone, now it's merely decent and there's been no improvement.
I just found a spot near my local Publix where I was getting 3 and 4 bars of signal with WiMax, which I rarely ever see in my city.
I speed tested and was consistently getting 16-18mbps down and around 3mbps up.
I'm curious to see how that compares with what everyone else is getting on Sprint's 4g network.

Sprint's 4g is pretty good here in Cincinnati. I get about 6-7mbs down and 1 up at my apartment with one bar, but when I go outside I get about 10-12mbs down and 2 up with 3-4 bars.
Here is a screenshot. I wasn't on wifi, I was in the middle of a parking lot.
I wasn't getting 3mbps up here, but I have before.

mine has definitely improved within about the last two weeks, as well! I'm getting about 15-20% stronger signal and speed
Not only that, even 3G improved in my area.

This is good to hear. Hopefully Sprint is staying good on their word and largely improving their 3G this year.
Especially looking forward to the Galaxy Nexus and LTE, even though I'm not in one of the cities getting it first.

No you haven't. Wimax used to be capped at 1mb now it is capped at 1.5mbps. Clearly your screen shot would have shown the 3mbps upload had it really occurred.

Not necessarily, wimax upload speeds were capped. No official word that it's been removed though or made higher above 1.5. Any of you claiming higher have a screenshot?
