Hi, everyone i am new here..
Today i had installed MiniCM-1.0.0-RC2, everything was fine but only loosing Root, i just wanted to know is just a common problem in this version MiniCM-1.0.0-RC2 or is just me or few unlucky ppl like me? I had done with superoneclik in order to have root access gain, the process showing success, but after restart the phone, the phone still in not root. Will it be fixed in future?
sorry for my bad english! I hope you all understand what im saying..thanks
Yes. everyone is losing root. just root again
@daredevil : he says after re-root, he didn't had the root back
@lookingpost : have you check it using root checker?
ya, i had try using superoneclick to re-root again, but after reboot it remained the same, i had try using root explorer to remount r/w or r/o, unfortunately didnt work, and i had checked with superuser, only titanium backup in the list and no other apps like setcpu or root explorer in there. I had try the superuser twice (the result showing success root), but after reboot, the result still the same.
Im using this superoneclick (provided a link)

My tab isn't rooted and I've done factory reset a couple times but I just want to get it back to stock, I was in a thread in this forum and flashed a file through odin that was supposed to root the device. It never "really" worked and I can't seem to get rid of "superuser" If I install a rooted app like titanium I cant get any permissions. I am one of the unlucky to have a locked bootloader. What should I do to get it back to out of the box state?

Greetings everyone, it is now 5:23AM here and I am completely stuck as to why my Galaxy Tab (GT-p1000T Telstra, Australia) doesn't want to root itself this time.
The story is: I had my tab rooted on 2.3 using the method involving Odin (addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-root-samsung-galaxy-tab-on-android-2-3-3-gingerbread). It worked fine.
Problem: I am going abroad and will not have data. I order to have a clean phone and delete any data consuming app, I just decided to factory reset. I did that using OCW. I followed the same steps as above to root my phone. No error is mentioned anywhere. Odin declares the operation to be a success, except... when I reach the phone, Superuser isn't installed and every root-requiring app is telling me that my phone needs to be rooted. I can still see the icons for OCW and OCW Tweaks but both of them are asking for a rooted device.
What did I miss? I get the feeling like it is OrangeClockWork which is preventing me from rooting.
Can anyone help me? I greatly appreciate any attention

Install the following Apps from Market:
Superuser from Chainfire (free)
Reboot, and see if you can get superuser access on titanium backup.

I tried this but still no good. It seems like the tab didn't even get rooted. Root Tester tells me it isn't although Odin appears to have done its work. It seems like something is preventing the file from being transfered.
Well thanks for your help. Slept over it and decided to install overcome.
Except I didn't go all the way. I just used the stock JQ1 gingerbread firmware (which is better than Telstra's btw) and tried to apply the root from here.
It worked.
Thanks for your attention anyway !
The newest OTA system update alert (4.5.621.en.US) just popped onto my VZW Droid2 today (current: 4.5.601.A955)--will rootkeeper allow me to keep root after this update?
I've read that RootKeeper does allow you to save root and is currently the only way to keep root with the new update.

So who's gonna try it and let us know?
RootKeeper Question and Help Needed
While I was working the OTA from Verizon was released and my wifes phone was updated and she has lost root. We both have the Droid 2, both rooted the same way and both at the same level before today. I do have a good backup of my root on my phone.
I'm curious where and what files I need to copy from my phone to my wifes phone to see if I can restore root from my backup.
Edit to add: the backup was done with Root Keeper.
All help is greatly appreciated.

While you're waiting for a reply, were you able to update your phone and keep your root with rootkeeper?
I'm not going to update my phone just yet. Once I know the location of the files and what files I need to copy over, I'll try fixing the other Droid 2 and see where that goes. I'm in no hurry to update just yet.
Sent from my DROID2 using XDA
so I updated using the root keeper app, and I don't really recommend it. For some weird reason only certain apps retained their root privileges, actually the only one I can see that has is titanium backup. Also u can't install new apps that need root. It really blows in all honesty. I really hope someone figures this one out, not having root, or the option to put on another rom is such a pain in the ass.
motorola one click root will reroot OTA tho DO NOT DOWNGRADE EVER or you will softbrick your phone

I have tried, I think they patched the exploit used by motorola one click. If I'm wrong I would appreciate a link to what works.
While I was working yesterday the OTA from Verizon was released and my wife's phone was updated before i could stop it and she has lost root.
We both have the Droid 2, both rooted the same way, and both at the same level before today. Pretty much identical phones and system except for the obvious differences. I do have a good backup of my root on my phone using Root Keeper.
I'm wondering if I could copy the root backup files from my phone to hers and then try to restore the root on her phone with Root Keeper using my backup.
If doing the above described restore is a possibility I would need to know what files I need to copy from my phone to hers (file names, location(s), anything else I should know) to give this an attempt.
I've found the location of the Root Keeper program files but it's not clear to me where the root backup files are.
All help is greatly appreciated.
