It blurs when you are zooming in or scrolling. The pictures should be sharp once you've stopped moving them around.

HD2 Landscape Mode in Album?

Hi!
Just recieved my HD2 and being a noob to this device, I presumed that if you flipped the device into landscape, the Album would rotate into landscape mode. Do I have to set anything up on the device to enable this?
Regards,
Alan
Have a look at the wonderful BsB Tweaks app. That has a menu option in there to allow rotation for the app(s) of your choice.
A quick search of the themes and apps section should find it.
I thought the album was already landscape???
I've assumed that he means when you click the "Albums" softkey. I seem to remember having to set mine up to rotate that, but could be wrong.
Albums flops between landcape and portraid whenever I do. I thought it was the deafult action ion both the 1.43 and 1.48 ROM and I haven't fopen anything I can rememebr to change it. This is to do with the arrangement of thumbnails. If the question is really about flipping the pictures in the album to Landscape then that's totally different
What I meant is that in some of the videos I had seen on the HD2, when the guy rotated the device in the album, it went into landscape mode (riverflow or something like that). I think that the music tab did the same....
They don't need setting up - they just work. (They do for me anyway)
That's photos and videos, available from your Home Screen Tabs and not Albums.
Well, I have tried it from the Album tab and the Album application and it does not rotate.....

What do you mean by album tab? Do you mean Photos & Videos?
The tab on the bottom of the screen... with the photo icon.... next to the music tab....

Yeah - that's photos & videos, not albums. #9Just to clear that up )
I take it you're holding the phone upright when you do this?
Sorry to ask that, but it's the only thing I can think of!
When you get into Photos and videos you just twist the phone, don't click on Albums or slideshow. Just in case their was any more confusion.
Thanks guys... I have sorted it.... it works now!

how did you figure it out? what did you do?
How comes pics don't roatate in landscape if you take them in potrait and visa versa? a la the iPhone? I took a picture in potrait and rotated my phone in landscape and nothing happened.

HTC Gallery blurry photos

I've just recently noticed (after using my camera more frequently) that the default gallery app causes the photos to be slightly blurry when viewing in full size. This problem is alleviated as soon as you zoom in, even slightly, but when you pinch out to full size again, the photo gets slightly hazy again. What is even more strange is that B&B Gallery off Marketplace does not demonstrate this fuzziness as all images are crisp regardless of if it is zoomed in or not.
Is there a setting that I can switch on the default HTC Gallery app to have all photos appear at full sharpness even at full screen size?
I see what you're saying. I took a few pictures of dinner with the family over the weekend and when I view the images in the default landscape view, they look a little fuzzy.
If I zoom in the fuzziness vanishes, and if I resize it to fit the relative size of landscape view, no fuzziness. If I tilt my phone to portrait and back to landscape, the fuzziness returns.
It is even more frustrating when you look at the photos through B & B Gallery. It isn't as integrated into the OS - ie having a shortcut within the camera view, but all the photos are clear from the start and they don't require zooming in slightly to capture the detail. Of course nothing is as bad as the stock Android 3D gallery, but it is disappointing all the same.
Just use Gallery3DMT.apk if you're having quality issues with HTC Gallery.

Is that different from:
http://phandroid.com/2010/04/13/images-look-blurry-on-android-2-1-theres-a-reason-for-that/
Just loaded it and answered my own question: no. The UI on Gallery3DMT is great, but the picture quality - especially when zooming at all - is just bad.
I too can see this. my eyes aren't great but i notice it and its pretty apparent.

[Q] picture gallery

Is there a way to get all of the photos when viewing with the gallery to fill the screen without having to switch to landscape mode?
On my windows phone, using HTC's album viewer and scrolling thru the pics, they always were rotated the correct way as to fill the screen without having to rotate the phone, whether they were taken as portrait of landscape pictures.
This is a bit annoying.
Oh, and a second question, how about a way to make the gallery go into camera shots by default when I push the gallery shortcut.
Thanks all wise android gurus.

[Q] Picture Orientation

It seem that the G2 takes all pictures in landscape mode and uses exif data to tell the viewer to rotate the image if it was taken in portrait orientation. This is totally annoying especially for mms and for viewing thumbnails in outside viewers like windows.
Any solutions on how to actually have the stock camera take a picture in portrait mode and actually store the pixels as as a portrait?
Thanks.

Hi, did you ever find a solution for this? It's so annoying, but there is almost nothing to be found about it on the Internet..
Hope you can help.

Gallery glitch no solved :(

If you click a photo holding the phone camera vertical and later then go to the Samsung gallery app and pinch to zoom out and open that image, you will see it is shrinked and once opened it pops to normal from shrinked state.
Not totally pinch to zoom out though.
