We need a cab for modded froyos that can't get this OTA.
http://a.yfrog.com/img69/4670/asy.pngI'm a modded froyo user and it showed up for me

Im running stock Froyo FRG83D and have not received the updated market.
What version does your market show as in your application settings?
Market 1.82
Sent from my Nexus One
This is the same as was seen in the Gingerbread video, hmm.. http://www.androidpolice.com/2010/1...i-gets-exposed-in-the-crispest-video-to-date/
I am 83 not 83d. I'm on a cyanogen nightly. Happened after I updated my flash.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Interesting, so it seems this is not related to the 2.12 update that came with FR83D, and somehow they are remotely activating it. I have 1.82 and have not seen the new tab yet.
Is it on all the apps in the market or just some?
All the apps

Mine's 1.82 as well but I'm not seeing any related tab. Will try installing Flash.
Edit : Confirmed, Flash reveals it.
might be related to a restart then I'll try that
Update flash
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Weird, I updated flash earlier on and haven't seen it yet, maybe its just installing any app?
Well just installed epicurious and still no extra tab, will try reinstalling flash.
Was themes under apps menu there before ?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
My market still doesn't have the similar tab and I see themes so yeah it probably was.
It might be slowly pushed out instead of being tied to the flash update. Or it might be both .
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
I had neither Flash nor the similar tab... installed Flash, then I had both. Weird.
Installed Flash, cleared Market cache, rebooted and still nothing. So it must be a slow rollout.

I had two updatede apps today. They downloaded fine but won't install. Don't know if it's a Market issue or something with my device. Any ideas?

Ok. New apps will download and install but still have the issue with updating apps.
Sent from my rooted DROID2 using XDA App
Usually an uninstall and then reinstall fixes apps that don't update.
Sent from my DROID2 using XDA App
Tried that. Also cleared Market cache and data. Done several reboots.

Read in another thread that it could be an issue with Google servers. Has anyone heard anything?

It is a google problem, the same thing is happening on the hero Just wait for them to fix is probably the only thing we can do right now
Same thing has been happening to me. I have just been clicking the update and then immediately clicking on the name of the app I just downloaded and watching the download and install meter and it works for me everytime.

The issue was with apps on the memory card. Had to move them to phone memory, update, then move them back to the card. Annoying.

Moving apps back and forth isn't working today for updates.

Could Google have made changes to the Market ahead of Gingerbread?

Possible, maybe why they're having market issues
Not sure it's the Market now. Since I couldn't get Angry Birds to updated I tried getting it at GetJar. That wouldn't install either.
Sent from my rooted DROID2 using XDA App
Ok. Completely lost. ROM Manager successfully updated but Angry Birds still won't.
Sent from my rooted DROID2 using XDA App
I'm having almost the same issues. It started yesterday when I accidentally unistalled the wrong app. When I went on to market to re-download it and found it sat in the ongoing downloads going nowhere along with several others. I cancelled them and started them again one by one. They all downloaded and then failed to install. After that they all appeared in the downloads list but say "FREE" next to them instead of "Installed".
I know that, apart form the first app, all of them are definitely installed. Rebooting the phone made no difference. I also removed the memory card to see if that helped. At that point I managed to install the first app.
I put the SD card back in and the problem returned. Most of the apps I have installed on the SD card only appear in my downloads list intermitently, and I still can't install or update anything from the market with the SD card in the phone. I also am having issues re-installing backups and non-market apk's.
Have I done anything to the phone to make it do this or is this a Google issue? I'm using a rooted T-Mobile UK desire on stock 2.2 with ModInstallLocation set to external.
Thanks for any help or advice.
I also get Free instead of Installed.

Ok. Was able to update apps and install one new app. Still can't get other apps to install. At this point I'm open to crazy possibilities.

It's still the server issues, until Anroid 2.3 is out this will probably be a problem
I hope I don't have to wait for 2.3 given how long it takes Verizon to release an update.

I noticed when I updated my seasonal angry birds that there is now 3 tabs under the app.

My guess is v1.82 = similar and v2.12 = related
The thing I don't understand is why the results for related/similar, are so bad and non-related?
I did a test and searched for the USA Today app, then clicked on "similar" and it didn't give one decent result. You would expect it to list Reuters, CBS News, FOX News, etc..but not one of them were listed. Not one TRULY similar app.
I did the same with the Evernote app. It actually listed another app with the word Ever in the title. Everpaint...it wasn't actually related at all.
It would have been nice if Google had made this feature more functional. Maybe it will get better as time goes on.
I know I too did this and found that with angry birds it looked like it just searched for angry birds and gave me all the results for it. I am sure they will improve upon it and make it something like. If you liked USA today you will enjoy CNN or something. Time will tell.

I would have to agree. Still wondering if lets say the UK ver is a different version # base then the US. Or if they are all the same.

I running on N1 with CyanogenMod 6.1 rc2 and I had tested Market v 2.12 a week ago and the related was NOT in the market at the time. It seemed a little faster at the time and kept the "download" section in cache so it didn't need to reload it everytime.
I downgraded earlier this week the 1.82 and 2 days ago, I got the related tab out of no where.
My market hasn't automatically updated yet since im rooted and on a custom rom so i'm still rocking 1.82 until the newest gapps comes out.
For those who are stock, you should automatically get the 2.12 update and should install behind the scene.
Hello everyone. I am running an epic rooted and running 2.2 froyo dk28. Everything was working fine until this morning, I can't update any apps or download any new apps even the paid for ones. The status would show downloading sign for a couple seconds then it would just dissappear from the notifications. Is anybody experiencing the same issues? Please advise.

every once in awhile the market, will do this..
Wait about an hour and try again and it should work.
happens to me every now and then. I usually just do a battery-pull re-boot and that usually fixes things.
Thanks guys. I'll try again in an hour and I'll try the battery pull reboot.

not a problem also here is another tip, if for some reason your downloaded apps from the market dont show up in your my app or my downloads in the market:
goto settings/Applications/market/then clear data and it will fix that market issue too..
Battery pull didn't work. Btw what version are you running? 2.1? 2.2? I keep thinking that the market has already updated so that DK28 softwares can't upgrade or use the market anymore because they are preparing for the new froyo(official, set to be released Feb 21). Still can't update apps or install new apps. I also have used only half of my rom space. About 60-70% has been moved to SD card via a2sd app.

I am using dk28 2.2 as well. The battery pull trick would always fix my issue, but maybe try clearing the data and cache for the market like davidrules said. Also, this is a long shot in the dark, but try updating your "profile" under system updates.

Yeah, I tired the market app reset move too. I guess I'll try waiting until Feb 21 for the official froyo.

Hello,
For new Android market that is rolling out now, will we will get the new Android market even if our phones have been rooted and have custom ROM on it?

I couldn't imagine them doing anything specific just to (I'm sure only momentarily) annoy people with rooted phones.
If your market works now I'd say there's a fairly good chance the new one will as well. Although I cannot confirm it.
Yes, the new one works. I use it since.yesterday on my dhd.

Anyone else getting problem with it not showing your installed apps? Only showing 11 apps when I just counted I actually have 55 apps installed. Don't want to have to uninstall and reinstall all them just so they show up.

I'm waiting for the offical one just to come along.

A restart and a bit patience sorted the problem.
Overall I like it. Would rather there was a my apps button on the front page but in not going to go on a murderous rampage because its missing.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA Premium App
From what I can see it is a very data hungry application as it can take a while to fire up when network connection is on the slow side.
i still havent got the update on my dhd.
so there are different release dates between different regions right?
Ye, Google did say the update (which will go on your phone auto, so no need to go to settings and update) will be with us all between now and up coming weeks.

i hope the version that goes arround is not the final one cause beside being very laggy it is buggy. it broke a market link of an installed ap while trying to update it.
also even though it showed me one app being able to update it didn't allowed me to. clicking on it brought me to the apps details page and there i could only open or uninstall it.
i could onlly update apps if i had more than one by clicking update all.
p.s. oh and not to forgot: the amount of traffic it causes is extrem! a multiplactive of the old one, as if they would not cache the images of the apps showcase on the front page.

Agreed, same problem here, uninstalled the update. Don't like the new layout, hard to find things.
I have uninstalled the update and gone back to the last version. New one is almost unusable on anything other than a perfect cell connection.

Same here but i guess i'll keep it as it looks great, just a matter of few days to get habitual of it
when i click on download in new market it is starting to download for ages
when i reset phone it download the file immediately
Am I the only one, who thinks the new Metro-look (WP7 like ) is ugly?
I dont see any slowness. The only thing that bothers me is the updates. With the old one you could see the updates right away. With this one not so direct.
JUST THOUGHT I WOULD TELL YOU NEW MARKET APK IS OUT
source:engadget, phone arena .
*if someone updates before me let me how well it works with cm7, looks better with auto update
Works great! I'm on nightly 2
