You have to copy android folder on the SD card (Root) not the contents in android folder to sd card.I had the same problem.I was starting android first time, after if i restart my phone and booting again android is stuck in the android boot screen. So this is the solution for me.I hope it works for you

[Q] Hd2 froyo error msg

I have been trying to install froyo on my hd2, and it actually runs the OS but after a few hours my phone just blacks out. then when i take out the battery to restart it and try running haret again, i keep getting the same error message
"userdata.img and system.img not found on the sdcard"
what does this mean? and is it fixable? Please and thank you.
Need to know the setup on your phone... Which winmo rom, android rom, radio version.....
And you will probably ge t more help in android section q&a thread..
Sent from my HTC HD2 Android
Had a similar issue and it was fixed by reformatting my SD card.
Did you put all the android files on the root of the SD card or the whole android folder??
If you were able to run it once... but not again the second time then it sounds to me like you've put the files on the root of the SD card. That's why it can't find the files. Your directory should look like this SDCARD/ANDROID/haret.exe

[Q] problem loadin android on htc hd2 the second time

when i load the driod on the htc hd2 it works fine if i cut my phone off and turn it back on then go to the the sd card to reboot the driod again it doesnt let me and a data file put up in between the clrcad and hacrt. if any one can help me that would be good i need a walk thur?
I bumped into this problem.
I fixed it by moving all the contents of the SD card into a sub folder called Android
So it was like
/sdcard/Android/....
Where .... were all the files originally in /sdcard/....

Second boot fail

I have this problem every time i turn of my phone or restart it, no matter what Android version is on it.
All Android versions boot without problem for the first time, It took me about 10minutes or so, I set up everything, spend hours on it and than if i want to switch back to WM, I can forget about it. Just can't boot Android for the second time, it gets to the black-screen-green-htc and go on like this forever.
I though it may be in SD card (I had 2Gb), so i bough new one few days ago (4Gb). I installed MDJ Froyo and it worked fine until I decided to restart phone in order to switch back to WM. Again, Android can't boot...
To get it working, I have to delete all android files, copy new one and start again for the first time...
This is really frustrating, and I can't keep my phone running forever without shutting down or restarting so does anyone have any solution for this problem?
Thank you,
Mario
EIDT: I tried every possible solution in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=854182 and nothing works
It happens sometimes, when it happens to me I just take out the battery and reboot and it starts normaly.
Secondly is you android folder on the root of you sd?
SD/ANDOID
Aren't you suppose to copy files from Android folder to SDcard root folder, so that HARET AND CLRCAD are on root folder, not like SD/Android/Haret.exe?
no the android folder has to be on the root of the SD
so it looks like SD\ANDROID (and in android haret...)
I have the same problem. I have tried different droid versions, and they work the first time, but if I restart the phone, I have to delete the droid rom and reinstall it again because it stays on the HTC screen for hours. I have it on the root of sd card.
What has worked for me a few times is instead of using the bootloader I go to explorer and manually click on haret......usually works.. and also check your startup.txt to make sure it points to the root folder Android while using the bootloader.
Increase the SD card size to 8 GB
Try increasing your SD card size to 8 GB, I am using 8 GB and it works well.

Please help android boot problem

PLease help... My phone was running android fine until one day it ran out of battery
and after that the rom was a fail. I installed a new rom and it said my sd card was damaged, so i formatted it. I then again installed another android build and when i went to run clrcad it said this is not a pocket pc application... My dual boot option window is now gone too.. I am running a very basic form of windows that does not sync or do anything. Can I just reset my phone and do it from scratch? If so plz point me in the way of a thread.

[Q] SD android stuck on boot screen

Hi all,
I need help...
I have been using AmericanAndroid for a while, I transfered files from my PC to the SD card, but when I put the SD card back into the HD2 android no longer boot. I am stuck on boot animation.
FYI I had been on 082811 for a while with no particular issues.
This is kind of nightmare since I have lost loads of data.
I would be very very greateful if someone could help either:
- get back my data from my PC from the SD card
- find a way to boot again in android on my HD2.
Looking forward to hearing from somebody...
Please help. Need to regain access to some important data.
