I have a brand new HD2 and wanted to wipe WM completely and have only 1 OS (Android). From the searches i did. It appears that there is no way to have only 1 os.. You MUST have WM and put the andriod os on the SD card..
Can the experts who have been in this field confirm.
If it is possible, can someone please advise how?
thanks.
We will be able to soon. The dev's are currently fine tuning the linux boot loader. Once they release it we will be able to have our choice of OS. Eg: WM 6.5 WM 7 or Android!!!! Really looking forward to it. Will breath new life into a fantastic phone!
man it's in plain sight

Until NAND development is completed you must have Windows Mobile as your primary rom and load Android via haret. Information about this is available all over the HD2 Android General Forum if you want to learn more about it

I installed Froyo 2.2 by darkstone recently and everything is working well except one issue. After I installed the software, if i reset or turn off my phone I go back to winmo6.5.. How do i keep android up and running?
It would probably help if you told us what device you are talking about.
wesideballer96, there's a Q&A section you'd better post this kind of questions in. Expect to see your posts closed or moved often if you keep going like this.
And if you don't search the forum before posting, expect to be bashed or banned.
Anyway, did you try this:

for most wm6.x devices it is not possible to use android as primary os. you probably installed it on memory card. but in the ROM you still have wm6.x.
im using htc hd2 and have costom wm6.5.3 rom in the phone and a nice clean froyo port from desire on my memory card.
when iturn the phonw on it goes in wm6.5.3 but i have instalede dualboot app that emediatly pops up and sks me if i want to use wm6.5.3 of android 2.2 (froyo).
but remembEr. firSt it goes to wm, asks me for pin number, then i only have 2 buttons on the screen BOOT ANDROID, BOOT WINDOWS MOBILE (wm is already ready to use you just dont see it).
dualboot app is basicli a nice shell over the wm desktop that helpsyou to run haret.exe by simply pressing a BOOT ANDROID button.
search on this forum for a dualboot app for yourt model.
sory for bad english.
Is there anyway to install an Android ROM on a Windows 6.5 phone?
Not yet, but there are Developers that are working on that now, so stay tuned with the news...

here's the video to prove the work of the developers !

PS: It will actually be an Android ROM (I think) with MAGLDR (which is a bootloader) and will allow you to boot the Android from NAND (internal memory of the phone, this means that you can wipe your WinMo 6.5 out from your phone and replace it with the Android)
This feature is not released yet, because it's still needs some work on it, but it will be available soon, just stay tuned, and click the links which I gave you.
Hi all,
I am absolutely new in this world of Android ROM's and have respect for those guys who are able to make Android work on the HD2 but I have a question.
Is it ever going to be possible to flash an Android ROM on the HTC HD2 so it is permanently installed so overwriting Windows Mobile?
dude... check the sticky:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=817261
in short, yes it should be coming soon, but it's possible that it will take some more time for NAND roms (internal memory "install") to be better/faster/more complete than SD
Hi,
Okay, thanks. Would be great when they succeed flashing an Android ROM on the HD2.
Now I got the taste of Android I don't want to go back to Windows. There is so much more possible with Android. Tons of apps and really nice looking and usefull apps.
Hi Guys,
Hope someone can help me understand step in moving between WP7 to NAND android and back to WP7.
I love the devs which come out and constantly change my roms and and currently have WP7 nand and SD android which is great but I'm falling in love with using android compared to WP7
So I want to flash a NAND android using CLK but I want to know can I go back to WP7 at a later stage, meaning can i uninstall and remove the partitions that CLK creates.
I won't install CLK if the partitions are going to be permanent which will restrict it's flexibility.
I have been using WinMo since the first XDA hit the UK market almost 10 years go and I want to go back to WP7 when it matures a little bit with features and the bugs from zune are gone and probably when mango comes out .... and hopefully the very capable DFT do what thier best at
Can anyone help with some information. And in case you are wondering I have digging for this information through the forums and haven't been lucky to have an understanding on the partitions restoring bit ....
Thankyou in advance
Hi,
Please refer to my sig... Guide number 2.
You can post there as well, if you have any difficulties.
You can always revert back by flashing a stock ROM, and undo any bootloader you install.

Hello all still having this wonderful device HTC HD2,
Directly asking my question - Is it possible Windows Mobile and Android to work on the same device? I think people call it dual boot. Unfortunately I couldn't find a solution. Badly there are still apps only available on WM which are very precious but I also very much like the easiness of Android.
I am using tytung Android 4.4.4 KK and I am having EU version of HD2.
Appreciate any guides,
BR,
