how to get the sbf file for my device
and which sbf file should i download ?

i us 6.1.5 version is the last version and it stil has the same error

Make screenshot with that error. And what your Defy model? XT535 or MB525(6)? If MB526 - when you need flash MB526 files....

Thanks for the link but I look and I see you brought that there is no version for ics it's just not the normal froyo?

since http://sbf.droid-developers.org has been down for a couple of days for me now, I was wondering if you have any other mirrors for moto x firmwares. I am looking specifically for fastboot-ghost_retbr-user-4.2.2-13.9.0Q2.X-116-LCX-35-36-release-keys-cid12-Brasil-BR.tar.gz

I have the 4.2.2 for XT1060 that is used to back before rooting. I can try to upload that somewhere tonight when I get home from work..

Some people got the OTA but it is a very small portion still.

Oh boy... not good.. in the meantime I will try to upload the firmwares I have into another area... maybe if people can do the same I will consolidate them in a thread. I know there is one already but they are for US ROMS. I'd like to get the ball rolling for other countries as well

Hey man, do you know someone who got it? Maybe get a romdump on their phone. A friend says he got it but he's a total noob. I will try to meet him this weekend and try to get it from him!

not sure if the vzx US file is correct for slapmymoto. the droid-developers link is for file VZW_XT1060_4.2.2-13.9.0Q2.X-116-MX-17-57-X-1_CFC_1FF.xml.zip. this link is for VZW_XT1060_4.2.2-13.9.0Q2.X-116-MX-17-53_1FF.xml.zip.
can anyone confirm this file works for root?

Thanks for the list. I noticed that these two files are unusually small and likely to be corrupted files.

I'm specifically looking for the TMO 4.2.2 for my device. I wasn't able to open the file. I tried googling around, and so far, most links point back to the original link which is down right now. This page: bbs.ihei5.com/thread-259763-1-1.htm is locked behind a forum. I don't have a QQ account and I can't read Chinese to look at the link. For all I know, it just points back to the sbf servers originally. Could you maybe give it a shot, since your homepage is in Chinese?

I'm pretty sure you need the 17-57 file, which I've also had difficulties finding since droid-developers is down. The 17-53 is the pre-camera-fix ROM.

I did a stupid thing by flashing with 4.4 and now I'm getting and "downgraded security version" when flashing back to 4.2.2 (required to root).

If you're familiar with the guide to convert your phone to single sim this works but you sacrifice your second sim. Its working for me on xt1033

No! do not install it on XT1033! I tried it and the result was that I lost signal. But that's not the worst part! 4.4.3 updates bootloader and once you update your bootloader you can't downgrade it. So... coming back to stock rom will become a challenge. It's possible to revert back to 4.4.2 but you'll have to unlock your bootloader.
