Check it out as it looks to be a useful alternative to Clockwork for updating or changing kernels though not on the fly.

I guess I didn't read far enough but looks like you are correct. Could be useful though as it does say one of the requirements is either HTC drivers OR adb push. Worth looking into? Maybe.

Nope, fastboot.
Wouldn't be compatible with Galaxy S

Oh okay. Just thought it might be a useful alternative since a lot are having issues with Clockwork although I'm not sure why, oh wait yes I am sure why...not reading, and I guess something different would just cause a new set of headaches.

So, I was wondering if anyone has yet tried pulling the GPS fix that Samsung sent out for the Captivate and trying it with the Fascinate. Shouldn't be too difficult, as the GPS hardware for the different Galaxy S variants SHOULD be almost 100% the same.
Might be worth a look, just a thought.

Yeah, never even thought about it. Definitely try it out. You know how to do that right? Shouldn't be too difficult.

Someone would need to take a look at the OTA for the Captivate to see what we need, but yeah, pushing the needed files would be the next step. Seems simple enough.

Getting Google's home and fixing a gps are two very different things, but I get where you are coming from.
Does the Captivate gps fix involve a tweak to their radio as well? If so, I can definitely understand why that wouldn't work for us.

Wow, if you're sure it can be done easily from the Nexus S dump then it must be true. Someone who can make a statement like that must have the expertise to whip up some drivers for our CDMA radio, wimax, and all the other stuff that is different in the Epic from the Nexus S. Let me know when all this "pretty easy" work is done so I can flash it.

Sure, if easy means that you and all the other super smart guys on the CM teams spend time working on it. As for the OP, I'm guessing he hasn't been committing any code.

You are going to need to remove/replace
bin/
agpsd which is T-959
and
lib/
libclientgps.so , libhardware.so , libhardware_legacy.so , libsecgps.so
at a minimun
Before that, you should post this in q&a though ...
Can I ask why one would want to use this as opposed to the I9000 Rom?

Not want to use it, but a increase in options for roms. I know we have really good roms such as jim, darky, mine etc. But its nice to have a option although I do think we now have better roms.

Raaah forget Vibrant ROMs, i think it's time we started concentrating on getting MIUI fully ported, but obviously that won't happen until Cyanogen Mod 7 is released.
Anyway my bad for off topicness would be cool to see another variant of ROMs.

I do agree, but its not that far away into the future, I mean supeecirios kernel runs the nexus s file system so when miui for nexus s is released, we also automatically get it as well because of the kernel , but it needs some bug fixing, and I wish supercurio makes a update.zip which installs it in the system rather than in data so we also can have a recovery and don't feel like gingerbread is temporary
