i am asking this question bcoz i have flashed the official froyo for asia dxjpa
and the flashing way via odin was different cozz pit file 513 is used for flashing it.
so i wanted to know the right flashing way for ddjp6 froyo .. via odin
i downloaded the firmware ddjp6.. and it contains only one .tar file
so i just wanted to know the perfect flashing method
please dont advise me to do it through kies...
thanx
You can flash DDJP6 via odin the same way you flashed DXJPA without using any .pit file and it will work. As I have also flashed the other asian versions without using any .pit file (no .pit file recommended for firmwares with only one file on sam firmwares).
So How does the pit file affect anything ? I flashed DDJP6 with the .803 pit file. I take it that shouldn't be an issue ? Also, is the boot Galaxy "S" animation from the pit file ? I don't like the one I got from the asian froyo with the disjoint s... Does the Indian froyo have that too, or the one from eclair ?

Not sure about what exactly .pit file does but had a problem installing DXJPA earlier with .803pit (failed to flash) then tried with .513 and worked well.
haven't noticed the boot animation.
Did u move from 2.1 or unofficial 2.2?
i have a question..
if there is one tar file, should i put the file in just pda or PDA,PHONE AND CSc and then flash?
PDA for single tar file

Check my signature if you want PDA MODEM & CSC seperately for DDJP6.
You can also try to use XXJPY PDA, JP6 MOEDEM & CSC.

I clarification after flashing with Odin will all the setting & data reset to factory.
Or will all the personal data, Games, applications will remain.
One more thing if the Re-Partation in Unchecked (Not selected). Will the Odin keep my data as it is on the phone or it will reset to factory settings.

Follow this guide, i did... its what you want.
samsunggalaxysforums.com/showthread.php/2770-How-to-use-Odin-to-Flash-JPO-firmware-if-you-used-the-Kies-registry-hack-to-get-JPM
flashing with odin will make it stock.
what you need to do is
flash the pit file with re-partition selected.
then once that has done flash the other 3 files with re-partition un selected.
I just used kies with the registry patcher, then used CSC selector from the market and everything was sorted.
Can someone help me with the terms used on the forum. I still have no post found.
Odin is a flash program where different files to be loaded. I have now flashed several times but I always do something what is told me. I would like to understand what I do. Can anyone explain?
What is the PIT file and what should I use?
Which version should I use of ODIN?
What do these files:
PDA
PHONE
CSC
Normally you have a device whit one kind of firmware. Why so many?
Thank you for your help

What is the PIT file and what should I use? NEVER UNLESS INSTRUCTED TO DO SO . PIT is partition information table .
Which version should I use of ODIN?
Latest but i still use an old one .
What do these files:
PDA Phones firmware Kernel and OS and apps.
PHONE modem
CSC country specific settings networks languages etc .
A full firmware including modem and CSC is usually flashed via PDA .
Normally you have a device whit one kind of firmware. Why so many?
Flash modem only flash CSC only are the extra uses and some full firmwares are actually in the three parts so you would load all three .

.pit file
.PIT file is used for full flashing method, this is only advisable and useful for reverting back to original firmware when previously installed unofficial ROM or to fix softbricked devices like unable to boot normally.
Dear all,
I just noticed that the OTA ICS 4.0.4. for my country is released on Sammobile for my P7510. I downloaded the file, but don't know what to do with it, or how to install it. At this moment I run the XEU release and I am very pleased, but for warranty reasons, one likes to go back to a version of the country where the device is bought.
So my question is what to do with this binary? Hope you guys know. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Dead Silence
When you say binary, do you mean the tar.md5 file, if so just flash it via Odin and you'll be running your country's ROM, plus your CSC should return back to what ever it was before you changed it to XEU.
If it doesn't change the CSC, use mobile Odin to flash the cache partition only. That should add the CSC back on to the device but you may still need a CSC changer from the market to actually get it to the original.
Swyped from my finger to your face, on my Samsung Galaxy Note.

Thanks for response. I do not mean the tar.md5 file, that one I can deal with ODIN and stuff. I mean a file with file extension .bin, download via Sammobile in firmware section over there. Direct link: http://www.hotfile.com/dl/171858862/2649dfb/GT-P7510_PHN_249719138.bin.html
Note 3 n9005 uae model 32 GB. ..
it was stuck in boot image.. flashed stock with pass message in odin.. still it doesn't get pass boot image ..it randomly reboots ... and not even getting Samsung boot logo animation..
then tried to root with cf root .. got pass in odin ...but same result ...

flashed wit pit file .. still no success.. I used a European pit file..
where can I find uae pit file.. or the pit file is common
If you can reach boot loader, or even power on in any form it's not a hard brick. - It'll just be a case of finding the correct firmware and PIT file and reflashing.
What software was on before?
What software did you try and flash?

OK if you have tried an EU PIT file, you'll need to find the full firmware for your region as you've probably changed the partition stuff now with the EU PIT. Grab the Dubai firmware (latest if possible) then do a fresh flash via ODIN (use 1.85) and you should be good to go.

Hey, just an opinion. Search around G928G modem.tar and flash it by CP tab of odin before flashing the firmware. Than try flasing firmware. If fails again, remove modem.bin file from firmware(dont know how to). Otherwise extract the whole files from firmware, delete modem.bin and make the rest files as firmware with proper tool(TAR maker or else). Good luck.
