battery life?

Hey guys,
Quick ?. On my wing, with the stock tmo rom, the battery life is awesome, when I run the herald 6.1 rom, it goes to crap, I have to charge it every day.. Is the 6.5 any better? Or, what would you suggest?

I only used 6.5 for a few days, but from my observation, it's not getting any better in battery life. It may got worse since more cpu intensive. In theory and from my experience, 6.1 and the stock rom should have similar battery life. It might be your rom. Some roms (not to attack the cooks, do get angry at me) may have bugs the kill battery faster than others. So my recommendation is to try another rom. A clean one always best. Another thing to try is to use homescreen++'s dynamic cpu scaling. Could save you some battery to under-clock for non-essential time. Someone says this helps and some says no. So try it and have fun.

Hello, use my settings + low screen britness
T-Mobile HTC HD2
Cotulla HardSPL
OMEGA ROM
Mdeejay eVo Sense v.2.0 REVOlution
Stock Radio
this last for 1 day with normal use
omega is good for battery life?
what sd card are you using? i might be wrong but most of the time, battery drain is down to the type of an sd card you are using rather than what winmo rom you have got.

sandisk 2GB MicroSD is that really matters?
what about radios, that can help too, right?
if the configuration of android settings (like backlight, autosync, set cpu) does not help to reduce battery drain, then try a different radio and sd card as well. unfortunately, i cannot tell which radio and sd card to use, since it is rather subjective. i personally use Samsung 8 gb class 6 sd card, running FroyoStone 3.1 on the latest stock rom 3.14 and radio 2.15.50.
also what is your batter drain in mA during standby? you can check that with Current Widget from the marketplace

il try another radio.
in standby i have 30-60 ma
on music or games i have 200-400 ma
that terrible
30-60 mA in stanby is a bit too much, average should be around 7-9 mA, but there are some that can get even less like 3-5 mA. 400 mA while playing games i think is alright.
Well, this works for me...

I switched rom and did your guide.
still didnt help.
any other ideas?
any other ideas? please!
Are you using setCPU?
edit: just noticed you said you had followed that guide which is all about tuning your CPU, so you can disregard the above question.
Try to use different windows rom
As I know ozdroid, Chuckydroid. And vbnrom are the best.
Or try different radio 2.10.50, 2.12.50 or the latest 2.15.50
Or sometimes try to restart the device will work

Make sure your running apps aren't sucking power behind the scenes. I'd try by killing off suspect apps one or two at a time. Even if they pop back up (because of a widget or other background service) it can help because it kills a service that they are running. don't use Auto Kill though or it might increase your battery use.
Have you cleaned any widgets off your homescreen that might frequently use CPU?
any other ideas?

Stick to GB (probably CM7/MIUI) as I've found that ICS has very random and unpredictable spikes in battery drain. Other than that though, it depends entirely on how you use your phone, there will never be a 'best ROM for battery' so never ask that question.
