can someone please tell me about simplex wireless-n in general. just curious as to if it would benefit me in anyway. i do have a wireless n router as well as a g router bridged to it. i guess my question is what does for the phone.
i am also interested in the liberated b05 rom and would like to know more about it. i am currently running b03 and just wanting to see if their are any BIG differences between the two before i flash a new rom. keep in mind that i just want a working phone without too many bugs but i love new features!
and yea im a noob! so take it easy on me. just trying to learn this stuff. im going into computer programming specifically for phones and gadgets and such, so the more i can learn now the easier i will have it later. thanks for any imput
I will point you to the change log on this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=708434
As you have a wireless N router this will benefit you in a speed boost at home. Thought I believe that 5gz spectrum is not available just the 2.4gz? Anyway I run the b005 without any problems and it has proven a stable rom.
Cool thanks, I was aware of the change log. just wanted Some opinions.

I am not an expert but I believe the "wireless-n" means you get faster speeds, more bandwidth. Obviously just like your computer. The "simplex" part means that they have only been able to get this working in One direction. Either sending or receiving but not both at the same time. So in that respect it is not the same as a computer as that can do wireless-n in duplex. Still it should be a good boost in speed if you are downloading files, etc...
Has anybody been able to use the T-Mobile WiFi Calling App with their Nexus S?
If you have could you please point me on the right direction?
Thank you

This. Currently the RIL does not support the auth commands that Kineto requires to switch to GAN. So far no one from Samsung or Kineto has been willing to return contact requests either to get more info >.>
Sooo i can't post in android developement since I'm a newb here. I have a bravo sitting around that I had bought my GF, but both of us got so fed up with it, its a spare now. I am proficient software developer with quiet a bit of experience. I know jack **** about working on Android, but it appears a lot of you know what needs to be done and just need someone to do it. I am referring specifically to getting CM7 and MIUI camera and camcorder working. If you want my help, I am happy to, but I will need some guidance and can take it from there.

I'm tired of having a damn good piece of hardware with a ****ty piece of software on it.

I really want the camera to work on here too. It's getting really close.. camcorder works and it looks like it can take pictures but no picture is saved...

we need to work with codes. It's the codes for the camera that need to be altered

Lol can you be a little bit more specific, what research has been done? I know of few of you guys have tried swapping libraries around, do we have a list of efforts tried, and theories on what to try next... Do we need to decompile/dissasmble the library out of the stock kernel for the camera and reinject into into the new rom? Essentially... wtf is going on with the cam situation?

I live outside USA but i got the Sideload enabler!
try this:
you need a AT&T SIM card, activated or deactivated,
-put the AT&T SIM card in your bravo
-turn on your phone and connect to a WI-FI Network
-Access to android market via PC
-Search Sideload Enabler for Bravo
-Click Install
-follow steps and Done!
Someone knows how i can extract the APK file from my phone and post here?
Thanks for your suggestion, but I alredy installed from the market by using Market Enabler and and setting it as if I was on AT&T, the problem is that I needed to be rooted.

I wanted to take the app and change the name or something and upload it to the market, so that every time I want to install it, I can do it easly. Can somebody upload it?
I didnt know that when somebody is going to upload apps to the market, have to pay US$25 not expensive, but not interested now.
To extract it you can use any apk backup app and it will save it to your SDCARD.
I will get an AT&T sim card to try what you said.
The title pretty much says it all. I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of a [mostly] stable ICS build that has working WiFi Calling. There are a lot of ICS roms in the development section and I haven't found one that has it listed as a working feature.
I need WiFi Calling when I'm at school since most of my classes are in the basement and I get zero reception there. I would prefer not to have to use Sense/MIUI. Thanks to all who answer!

None have stable wifi calling yet, but it'll be here soon. A few devs got their hands on the One S this week.
There is a light, aparently the developers for the gs2 found a way to get 4g / WiMAX working for their phone. Was wondering how different would be to get the epic 4g going. I'm with boost mobile. Here is a link:

Wow I just realized this tread is just over a year old... Still interesting. Does anyone know how to get 4g going with a donor phone maybe?
The only way would be with a 4G capable donor phone. A pricey way to go IMHO.
The method outlined in the thread you linked requires a valid, active Clear account.
All you are doing is cloning the MAC address from a Clear modem to your phone so it can access the 4G network (apparently they use the MAC address for access control).
Are you developing this?
This should be in General
Development is for developers to post releases and WIPs
