[Q] Froyo + Sense on 3.22 Magic 32A? - myTouch 3G, Magic General

Is there some port of Froyo and Sense on our Old-radio Magic?
I can see only versions for new radio...when can we see that for us old-radio-ed?When??

Just flash the new radio and get it over with

I'm also eagerly waiting for that. Simply switching to the new radio is not possible for everyone, e.g. I have constant dropouts with the NR which is really very anyoing... (and yes, I have tried all different radio versions, checked MD5, reflashed etc.)

I'm not sure, but maybe it could work if u flash 32b/dream sense rom + ported kernel like in CM based roms. I didn't try this so it's just a guess.

I donĀ“t think it's a good idea... Probably the phone won't even boot. Usually sense rom's requires kernels related to the original HTC kernel.

i can hardly wait for a 2.2 rom with sense. i love the sense ui interface ! i don't want to use any kind of launchers. when will it come out ?

there is not be , because the rom senusUI required the system-partition is larger than 140m, but with the old version of the radio(3.22.xxxx) system-partition is limited 90m to supporting the old spl(1.33.xxxx) , so if you need use the old radio with sense, you must through the way the like MTD to make the size of system-partition is bigger for the job but pay attention to expand the system-partition is to reduce date-partition.

I'm sorry but where can I find a Froyo + Sense ROM?

Ive been waiting on a sense rom for a while now but to be honest i don't think there for everyday use at the moment... what id suggest ye do is what i done, get Typhoon rom (Located in my signature) and get the CM7 sense theme (also located in my signature) which has the same layout, keyboard, settings etc
you wont be disappointed in the performance of Typhoon as its really stable and fast if you do a fresh install, starting with task29.
also id follow up on the Save battery thread (located in sig) and follow threw them steps,
Gingerbread sense is buggy at the moment (Camera/GFX glitches) as we are waiting for the new Desire Gingerbread kernel to be release (I think).
What is it you want Android 2.3 for?, or is it simply because its latest version for phone and you like sense?

If you are interested in Sense 3.0 GB 2.3, I would recommend either Angeldeath's or Dungphp's Roms. Everything works in both with the exception of the camcorder and some minor graphic glitches.....

Are you sure it s a stable version.
Their thread said you can use a cam corder but third party.
Is that true.
If no camcorder, i will not flash ...

Yes, I'm sure they are stable. I have been switching between both of them for the last month. I am happy with both Rom's. The camcorder issue is an issue with sense 3.0 roms on the HD2. The 3rd party apps can make it work but it will lag a bit...
WHEN and i mean IF my phone gets fixed, im switching up to boyppc ginger sense..I hear good things about it! anybody running his rom and what version? sorry for TJ'ing
Is there any newer version to gingerbread that can be installed on HD2 ?
Like android 3.1 or 3.2 ?
3 is honeycomb which is for tablets
reaction
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905060 this one seems pretty stable.
If there will be an update of android for smartphones, i think it will be 2.4 and 2.5
2.3.5 is on it's way to the nexus s at the moment and cyanogen is qlready trying to implement it.
Stable versions where all is working are ndt miui 20.1 or hd2ginger or ndt ginger or hyperdroid ROMs. But most cm7 ROMs have higher battery drain than miui or stock ginger ROMs.
I am trying to flash teh steps in your link, but after I run ROMUpdateUtility, nothing is happeneing, it s always showing 0 % ...
any idea what to do ?
I tried both CLK and MAGLDR and both they show HTC screen, and teh bar stays on 0 % ...
how to make sure you "Make sure you have HSPL"

If looking for non sensed roms, i recommend you to flash tytung's Nexushd2 v2.8 + GPS 1.8.. very stable no graphic glitch nor camcorder issue. GPC's pure gingerbread rom is also great but its discountinued since v2.6f
These roms are capable to play 720p of youtube
For the faster user interface, download launcher pro from market (the stock launcher is slow on our old hd2)
also these roms support cLK and MAGLDR

I'm new to the forums (of hd2, so new in the flashing progress)
Although, you have to install Hspl, I know from the touch diamond
I'm very sorry, but got nothing to test it on, got an HD2 in 3 weeks...
Need to wait Maybe an other member can help
(link to hspl install guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611433 - Think this one is pretty good.)
//Hardspl is needed to flash everything, thats why you'll need it

[Q] Old sense on Android 2.3

Hey people..
I was wondering.. At the moment i use the TatFroyoSense rom.. This one is pretty slow compared to the ones running cyanogen mod.. However i need a sense rom for various reasons.. Does there exist any sense rom with Android 2.3 other than TatFroyoSense ? Doesn't have to be the new sense (2.1), just the one from donut the Tattoo is born with.. Going back to a Donut rom makes the device rather useless because most apps from the market only can be found on Android 2.x ..
Would it be possible to make a Android 2.3 rom with the old sense ? Im not asking anyone to do it, just asking if its possible (or maybe allready exist?)
What makes the TatFroyoSense rom so slow ? Its a perfect rom for me, only problem is that it is so slow..

To do that you would have to port the whole sense framework . It is nearly impossible if you consider that you'll have two ports to do 2.2->2.3 and sense rom -> non-sense one
It's still under developement, but have a look to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1341466

[Q] Best Sense Rom for Stability and Battery Life? This is for my GF.

Hey guys. Just bought an HD2, have flashed android 4.0 alpha on it, but I wanna give this phone to my girlfriend who lives in another state. She currently has a Mytouch Slide and I want to put a sense Rom on this phone because that's what she is familiar with. However I wanted to know what the most stable Sense Rom with the best battery life is? Is prefer a Sense 3.0 Rom but any version of Sense is fine. She doesn't use mobile web , only WiFi, and she usually texts and calls with it, very light app usage, if that helps describing her habits. Appreciate the input!
Flash this CLK bootloader in the right partition layout and follow instructions.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1114053
After that flash clockwork mod 5.2.0.6.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=987531
Partition your Sd card with a 1024mb Ext4 partition... you can do that with clockwork mod.
And flash this rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=908528
Most stable rom out there.... for daily use.
The advantage of CLK is that your HD2 boots like a native android.
So your girlfriend can't touch anything of the bootloader etc.
For any info take a look at this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1336700
good luck
As the post above said, I personally find Android 2.2 with Sense 2.0 the most stable and fastest type of ROM out there. Perfect for daily use and if your girlfriend isn't bothered about having the latest version of Android

Thanks guys ill try both Roms for a couple days and see which I like more. She doesn't care to be on the latest version, but I personally prefer sense 3.0 or 3.5 cuz that's what I have on my sensation.

Check clk partition sizes, make sure you have flashed a clk (and sense) compatible kernel. First boot can take up to 10 mins.

[Q] Best HD2 firmware with 2.3.X and HTC Sense

In your opinion, what's the best firmware with HTC Sense for HD2 that will work smothly on my device? It may be any version of HTC Sense, I just want no lags and freezes.
I have magdlr already installed, so it would be best that it will be a SD/Magdlr firmware,
Thanks.

The simple answer is just don't install a Sense ROM if you really want performance. It just slows everything down, even on devices which ship with Sense. The only smooth Sense ROM is a Froyo/Sense ROM but seeing as you want a 2.3 ROM, this quite obviously doesn't meet requirements. The next smoothest would be a GB/Sense 2.1 ROM, if you can find one.
i used to use Energy Sense rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=733649
It's very fast. Iwas surprised cause i didn't expect,it's realy faster than a lot of htc android phones with native Sense..
