I was restoring a couple of apps i had uninstalled using Titanium backup, once the process finished it brought me to my lock screen. When i tried to input my password it keeps saying it's the wrong 1.I tried rebooting, pulling the battery nothing works. Please help! My phone is perm-rooted s-off & running Cyanogenmod 6.1 RC3. Thx.
Easiest way would be to reflash the rom or restore from backup.
Way ahead of u.
That's exactly what i ended up doing. Thx anyway.
Usually if you get the password wrong 5-6 times it offers to email it to your Gmail account.

So for the past few months I've been messing with different roms and accidentally setup one of my roms with a different email and bought the app chandroid. When I reverted to the main Rom I use chandroid wanted me to update so I tried but since I bought it under a different account it wanted me to buy it again. I found that the new market let's you switch between emails so I installed it but was unable to download or update any app.
This is where all the trouble started. I went to Google for answers and someone suggested clearing the data in the market. After doing this market would just say an error has occurred and shuts down. I then tried a factory reset. When I go to setup the account it says can't establish a reliable data connection. I understand this is a known problem but its different from my problem because even factory reset won't fix it. I've tried the YouTube method as well to no avail. One of my roms didn't come with the YouTube app and when I tried downloading it it said I already had it but it was no where to be found under app management.
The only luck I have had is with the muiu Rom. I was able to setup the account but that Rom looks too much like the iPhone and I prefer cyanogen 7 mod. I have factory reset, wiped cache, reinstalled rom. The only way market works is when I reinstall backed up roms.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
So basically you have a problem with the market app? or your google account?
because if you have paid fopr an app on a different email account, you can just save the apk and reinstall it.

It was installed. The problem is that it uses Google to authenticate the app and I can't setup my Google account so it can't authenticate. When I factory reset I get the message can't establish data connection. My internet works perfectly fine. Right now I just want a clean install of cyan 7 with the new market. I installed gapps as well and still same problem.
I really don't care about the app anymore since I installed 4chon. I just want my market to work again.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? I've tried everything possible as far as I know.
Okay so I figured it out. What I had to do was unroot my phone. Just download the PC36IMG.zip online and put it on the root of your sdcard. Go into clockworkmod by powering the phone off and then holding the down vol. and pwr button at the same time untill the hboot screen shows up. It will automatically detect it and just say yes when it asks you to install it. When it's finished you have to either delete the PC36IMG.zip file or rename it otherwise everytime you reboot the phone it will reinstall it. That's not a very good fix but as I am the only person I know of who has had this problem I do not see a better fix anytime soon.
Started yesterday: phone reboot by it's self and got stuck in this loop. Removed battery and booted backup adn it was fine. Now today, caught in the loop again. tried to remove battery and then battery and sim card....reboots back to the error and caught in a loop of reboots..?
what kernel/rom were you using? any other mods installed?
can you get into recovery? if so, try to do a factory reset (clear Data/Dalvik/Cache), and see if you still get the error. you'll lose everything, but it's better than having a broken phone.
if that doesn't work, try to flash a fruitcake from Samcripp's thread in the dev forum.
Do the wipe routine above and then run fix permissions through rom manager or cwm

Frozen anything? I think this is what you get if you freeze yahoo mail authenticator or corporate sync authenticator
After 2 days and near-unbearable annoyance, I was able to root the phone just using Visionary, Root.sh, and the cyanogen update guide (for Rooting phone)---and without a USB cable -- only using ADBwireless, once I had temp root.
One issue though.... Since I did a hard reset perhaps 10 times, following each hard reset I had to login to gmail as if I was setting up my phone. One option this process asks you is to allow google to backup your data. I always left it checked.... and didn't think much of it.
However, now that I am rooted again.... and just flashed CM 7.1 (RC1), I notice that I have about 7 out of 80 or so contacts....
The only thing I can imagine that happened is that everytime I reset the phone and signed in with my gmail address, it backed up the contacts on the phone, and for whatever reason, only those 7 made it to backup.
What is confusing though is that I had wiped the data cache several times in the past, and every time I re-signed into gmail to start setup on the phone, all my contacts were intact.
Also, the nandroid backups I thought I had.... CWR -- once it boots into recovery says there are "missing files" where my backups once were. I don't mind this so much as I am running CM7.1 and can download all my apps, etc.... But I thought those backups might contain my contacts...
Anyone have an idea where I might be able to restore those contacts... My sd card is the same one as I had before this whole mess started.... I would think titanium backup or something would have these contacts.. I can't really even think about losing 60+ contacts.
Nevermind. Its all good.

I cannot sign into the market or anything google related. It won't accept my valid password which works just fine still via my laptop. This started just after flashing the
EI22 Legendary ROM. Everything else is working fine so far. I've tried clearing cache and recovering data thought titanium. Any thoughts?

try re installing the Rom without recovering data..
I did try that. After the first flash, when I couldn't sign in, I rebooted into recovery and re-wiped and flashed it again, but it still wouldn't accept my password. I've also tried resetting my google password from my laptop and it still won't take the new one. I was able to set up a new account okay but then it still would not take the original account's password. I don't really know what else to try other than to nandroid back to stock EI22 and maybe trying it again, but I have this feeling it might still have a problem now. I don't know...
Problem solved. I had to regenerate a new application-specific password through online. once I entered that it started working again as normal.

Android Version 6.0.1
Baseband Version N910CXXU1DPE4
Kernel Version3.10.9-7633655, [email protected] #1
Build Number MMB29K.N910CXXU2DPF4
I have Titanium Backup Pro with backups done twice a week
Disabled Knox
using Nova Launcher
My Issues: The following process errors are constantly flashing on screen, android Process acore, contacts stopped, tui service, unified damon, wi-fi direct share.
I have cleared cache partition. When I go into recovery mode the green android man comes up with updating message then it displays recovery mode options. At the bottom of the screen it says
"Supported API: 3
dm-verify verification failed..."
I have tried restoring backup from Titanium Backup Pro with no change in errors. I cannot get to contacts, messages and calander. I can get into settings to clear Apps Cache. I am at my wits end in trying to figure out what
is going on. This all started last Tuesday when I had several MMS with images fail. Please help me figure out what I'm doing wrong. Like everyone else, I don't want to loose anything. I don't want to do a Hard Reset. Many thanks will be given for assistance in bringing my Galaxy Note 4 back to life. Without it I am a lost pupply.
Marie.
I'd recommend reinstalling the stock firmware back onto your device but don't root it this time. I think something went wrong durinh the rooting process and that is the source of your problem.
un root

Nope, you can't unroot using Titanium backup.
If you have linked your contact data to your Google Account then you should be able to restore as soon as you sign in again.
